*Sigh*
Like I said. More relatable than you know. Everyone has to deal with it. Trust me when I say this isn’t meant as harshly as it sounds, but the only difference between people is whether or not they’re gonna cry about it. Choices always had to be made before, and always will need to be made in the future. You can’t let that be the thing to keep you down though, or you’ve already lost.

Huh. Well... luckily I won't have to make terrible choices with terrible costs, here soon. Because quite frankly... I can't do it anymore. I've got enough skeletons in the closet and ghosts haunting me. Don't need anymore.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

It’s more relatable of a trait than you’d think. If anyone tells you they were the king of good choices, they’re almost definitely lying.
*Takes my own water and drinks a bit*
But it’s never too late to steer in that direction.

Perhaps... perhaps.

*Looks around*

I'm just.. tired of being confused about what choices to make. I wish thigns were clear, but picking a choice nowadays is like picking a rock up in a river. What your left with is muddy water no matter the rock you chose.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

You’ll thank yourself later~

...maybe. so far, I haven't been the king of good choices.

* grabs a bottle of water, cracking it and taking a swig, before sitting down*
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

That’s a slippery slope, my man. I’m not your keeper, though. You know what you’re about.

...its only just... ah, forget it. I'll grab a water.

*Looks mildly upset, but buries the emotion under numbness and grabs it, walking over to the sink, pouring it out before throwing the bottle away*

It's more problems than it's worth....
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

*Nods*
Yup, feels bad either way you look at it.

Mhm.

*Looks at the bottle you took from me*

... can I finish that? Litterally only half a bottle.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

Well, like, it’s different. Flies aren’t people. Some people might have even known some of the people who were wiped out. I’m not here to say if it was a right or wrong decision, but of course people are going to get upset over death.

Eh.... I guess I'm opinionated on it. But I understood the issue. But 100 years of progress, gone like that? Ugh.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

I’m not saying it’s objectively a bad call, dude. I’m just saying I can see how people would get upset.

People get upset about you killing a fly nowadays...
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

I could see why, to be honest with you.

Woudl you rather a plague be passed on to the majority population and kill over an estimated 3rd of your oppulation?? Or glass a dwarf planet with only 500,000 organisms?
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

“Side with the opposition”?

Politicians that were pro-weapons control. They had a massive following of citizens behind them. A lot of people were burned by the horrors of war and atrocities caused by both sides. I'll admit... I made some difficult choices. Blew up an inhabited but too-far-gone planet or two in the interest of the general public. They... didn't like that.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

Oh, wow. I didn’t know they were that far behind… No offense, of course.

In some ways, they're leagues ahead of most civilizations. In some areas? Barely better than cavemen. We had a lot better wartime tech, but after the Crimson War, most of it was banned under a protection treaty. They reverted nearly 100 years in tech simply becuase a bunch of bureaucrats got upset. It was idiotic. If I didn't side with the opposition, there were threats made of attacks on the home base. Put me in a bind.
