Rin wandered through castle town, hopelessly lost. He'd never find the house at this rate. He'd grown up in Sheikah village, and the city was as labyrinthian to him as his own forest would be to a citydweller. He had a map, but the crowd only served to confound things further. He sighed as he looked among the stalls, and wished he didn't have to investigate a murder. He'd much rather be carousing and having a good time. He took out the map again, and realized that he'd been holding it upside down. He looked up from it, and noticed a purple zora girl standing amidst the crowd.

"Excuse me." The Sheikah man said, approaching her. He certainly stood out. He was wearing a red kimono, covered in eyes of truth, a fan in hand. "I seem to have lost my way~" He said with a wide grin. He was looking down on her, but not on purpose. The fact of the matter was that he was a tall guy, and had nearly a foot on her.

"Could you tell me where this house is? I've never been to a city before. It's beautiful, if a bit overwhelming." He said, pointing to the location on the map. It was the house where someone had been murdered, of course. He was twirling a lock of his long, white hair, and seemed to be just a clueless tourist.

Even before Chie had spoke, Kazuya had planted his mop back in the bucket. When a 49er hinted that you should stop...It was a good idea to stop. He nodded at Chie, beginning to wheel it away as he reflected on his actions. His temper had gotten the best of him, and he'd nearly challenged Ban, a full 37 ranks above him. He wondered how things would have turned out if he'd fought? It was true that he was a rank 0. But that didn't necessarily mean he'd lose. It just meant he'd probably lose. Even if he did lose, he wouldn't be killed or anything.

"Should we go somewhere, or...?" He asked the girl the the gigantic axe, crimson eyes locked on hers. They looked more bloodshot than usual. It was probably the fumes from his bucket. It was then that he realized that, during all the commotion, he'd forgotten lunch. He was soon equipped with doughnuts from the nearby vending machine.

@Sho Minazuki @Pikmin EyeHmmm...What if he and Rin trained together in Sheikah village? Like he just wandered in and asked to learn Nijitsu. Or or or maybe Rin's parents adopted him and so they're siblings :) I'd think having a Deku ninja would be useful. Nobody would expect it, they could hide in flowers...It'd be rad.

Name: Rin Utoh

Personality: Rin is a laid-back guy who never loses his cool, even under intense pressure. He does not come across as a ninja, though. He's usually goofing off. Most people don't know he's a ninja, of course, but even if he went around telling everyone, it's doubtful anyone would believe him. His hobbies include long walks, floral arrangement, and painting. In his free time, he enjoys spending time drinking wine and chasing skirts. He's generally a very affable fellow, and easy to get along with.

Biography: Rin is a man who enjoys the finer thing in life. Fine food, wine, painting, floral arrangement. But he especially liked to travel, which is why he trained as a Sheikah ninja under Jounin Haya. Perhaps a bit strangely, in spite of his laid-back demeanor, he excelled in most of the ninja arts, especially infiltration and disguise. He wasn't at the top of his class, but he was definitely in the top 5. However, he's never left Kakariko until fairly recently. He just recently completed his training, and has been mostly working gathering intelligence for the crown. Recently, he's been partnered with a Knight of the Leaf named Vesper Iacorra to investigate the murders in castle town.

Feats
[Sheikah Trait] Eye of Truth - Sheikah have incredibly keen senses, which makes them excellent scouts. Sheikah are able to land projectile attacks from longer range than others.
[Sheikah Ninja] Ninjutsu - The Sheikah are able to use magic at the cost of Stamina instead of Magic. The drawback is that magic done this way is not boosted by magic stat, however the cost for spells this way is halved.
[TRAIT] Athletic - Rin is in extremely good shape. He regains 5 stamina every 2 posts.
[TRAIT] Ambusher - Rin is very sneaky. If Rin attacks an opponent that can't see him, his first attack is a guaranteed hit.
[TRAIT] Tremorsense - Using his Doton ninjutsu, Rin can sense things that are situated on earth or stone. He can sort of "see" by feeling along the ground. He can tell if people are nearby by feeling their footsteps. Note that he can only sense objects that are on dirt or stone, like bricks. It also only works while he's touching the ground himself. For example, if he's on a wood floor or in water, he can't use this power.
[TECH] Acupuncture(5SP) - By targetting specific points on the subject's body with his throwing needles, he can disrupt the flow of ki through their body. This attack deals no damage. However, if hit, whenever the subject would spend magical power as a resource, they instead spend stamina. If they run out of stamina, they can't cast spells.
[TECH] Rapid Fire - Rin throws projectiles in rapid succession. It costs 6 SP to throw 3 projectiles by default. He can spend additional SP to fire 1 extra shot for every 3 SP spent this way. Each projectile deals 1 heart of damage.
[SPELL] Mask of Deceit(2MP/Turn)- Rin is the owner of a special Sheikah mask. When he wears it, he can manipulate his appearance to look like pretty much anyone he wants. The mask essentially becomes his new face. It also changes his clothes. Note that it doesn't change his physical form, just his appearance. So he can't fly if he disguises himself as a Rito, nor can he breathe underwater if he disguises himself as a Zora. Costs 2 MP/post.
[SPELL] Doton - Sheikah Block - (5MP/10MP) Rin strikes the earth, excavating a portion of stone, clay, or dirt and moving it at will. He can control 1 cubic foot of material per MP spent. He can use it to block attacks. He can spend 5 MP to block 3 hearts worth of damage, or 10 MP to block 6.
[SPELL] Doton - Burrow (10MP/Turn) Rin can dive into the earth, swimming through it like a Zora swims through water. He can't breathe while he does it, so he can stay underground for at most 1 post.

Equipment-
Main Weapon: Incendiary Kunai: These special kunai have been fit with special Sheikah technology. They explode! Either Rin can press the button on them to make them explode on impact, or he can rub the button on his fan, causing any ones not near him to explode. The explosions aren't huge, but they still hurt a lot. (3 damage)
Off-Hand: Shuriken, kunai, and throwing needles.
Armor: Kimono

Other: Smoke bombs, more shuriken and kunai.
Potions: 1 health, 1 stamina

Notes: He has a horse. The horse is named Aunt Dot and is mostly just as transport and to carry Rin's things.

@Sho Minazuki I believe I'm finished. I tweaked a few of his abilities. Namely, I changed Disguise to just a spell he uses. It's more convenient, but it costs MP while he's using it. Also Vanish is now Burrow in keeping with his sorta earth theme. And he has a Feat called Tremorsense. All it does is let him sense stuff on the ground. Mostly just so he doesn't, like, run into a tree or something while he's burrowing underground. Also Sheikah Block now blocks attacks instead of doing damage. I figure I already have a variable damage source in his Rapid Fire power, and he's glassy enough that he needs all the damage avoidance he can get.

@Sho Minazuki Ah, would it be okay if it formed a single large projectile that just did more damage? Like, instead of forming 6 projectiles that do 1 heart each, he just makes one really big projectile that deals 6 damage? If not, I understand, but with your blessing, I may wish to change it to a different spell.

@Tancuras Ah, it says in the Factions page that the Leaf Knights and Sheikah Ninja often work together. Would it be cool if our dudes were, like, partners? Like Starsky and Hutch >:^3

@December There are technically a dozen spots available right now. I did say first come first serve, and by that I mean if you get a character accepted first you're in.

@HeroicSociopath That looks pretty good. Let's go through your abilities though. Keep in mind I'm considering your Ninjutsu profession trait too. Everything that needs a change will be listed. If you don't see it here it means it was fine. For note though, put the cost next to the feat's name too.

[FEAT] Athletic - Rin is in extremely good shape. He regains 5 stamina every post. (every 2, stamina is a scarcer resource because stamina users have a fairly reliable way to fight without the use of techniques, not as reliable as Health fighters, but they don't rely on it as much as Magic users do)

[TECH]Acupuncture - By targetting specific points on the subject's body with his throwing needles, he can disrupt the flow of ki through their body. This attack deals no damage. However, if hit, whenever the subject would spend magical power as a resource, they instead spend stamina. If they run out of stamina, they can't cast spells. (This effect lasts 2 of the opponent's posts and costs 5 stamina. This is actually really strong and can shut down certain players completely)

[TECH] Rapid Fire - Rin throws projectiles in rapid succession. It costs 3 MP per projectile, and deals 1 heart of damage for each one thrown. (You unleash a burst of three shots at 6 MP by default)

[SPELL] Doton - Sheikah Block - Rin strikes the earth, excavating a portion of stone, clay, or dirt and moving it at will. He can control 1 cubic foot of material per MP spent. He can throw it at an enemy, dealing 1 heart of damage for every 5 MP spent. Because the projectile is made of completely natural material, the attack itself is not considered magical. (Costs 5 MP at base so it creates 3 projectiles, costs 10 MP for strong version with 6 projectiles. This shouldn't be a problem considering your profession trait)

[SPELL] Vanish - Rin disappears in a puff of smoke, reappearing elsewhere with 30 feet. Costs 10 MP. (I expect this will be used mainly for escape? If so then it's fine)

Other than all that, you could stand to elaborate a bit more what he was like during his Sheikah ninja training. After you've done all that I think it should be okay.

I think I got it right. I just want to make sure I understand the new version of Doton. How much damage should each projectile do? Also you're okay with Rin being able to spend more MP to control larger masses of rock and dirt, right? I was thinking I'd mostly use it to do stuff like dig holes and block attacks. The offensive usage was mostly just so I had stats if he did want to attack an opponent with it.
