The Bicycle wouldn’t really be useful to the group.

Well, you never know. Might port over the acro bike from gen 3 as well, who knows. Honestly, if you want to use it I'll make something around it, I think it would be fun.
Yeah, that sounds pretty good. Not a lot of key items to go around so we'll have to get creative. Looking forward to your character.
Which key items are you two eyeing right now? Could be one I haven't come up with, if you have any ideas for them. Could also have none really.
THE SETUP
Trainer school is over for the year and you're into a long summer break. You and your friends decide to on a simple goal - catch them all. There's an issue, however. 1 Pokedex, to share. A diverse cast combines forces to catch all the pokemon in the region, combining their tools in order to explore every nook and cranny of the world, to see everything there is to see and catch everything that can be caught. Will they make it in time before training school starts again? Or will their dreams be dashed by the dastardly Team [something or other]? Only time will tell what's in store for these young heroes!

THE BASICS
The idea is that there's only one of any given key item - the pokedex, fishing rods, TM case, etc. It's not as if there isn't any other of those things in the world but when we begin that's all the group will have. So they'll have to deligate usage of certain tools efficiently, and plan around where they want to go. As the group explores the region they can also tackle the various gyms littering the region, and you may have an opportunity to take a crack at being the Pokemon League Champion.

Pokemon game mechanics will be used to inform the RP's mechanics but we won't stick too closely to it. Thinking outside the box will be pretty rewarding.

THE REGION
The RP takes place in the large and varied Sinnoh region. Packed to the brim with gyms, concert halls and more, with the added complexity of the Sinnoh underground, there's no telling what our rascally group will find in this wide ranging region.

LEGENDARIES
I figured someone would ask this pretty soon so I put this near the start. The short answer is, we'll worry about it when we get there. The region we pick will decide what legendaries are up for grabs, but as for when and how we'll end up getting them, there's no real point in worrying about it now since it won't come up for a while anyway. This RP probably won't last that long, so let's just see how we go first.

KEY ITEMS AVAILABLE
• Pokedex
• Old rod?
•
[sTM case[/s]
[/*]
• Poffin case
• Sprayduck
• Other stuff potentially
•
GYMS AND CONTESTS
Trainers are encouraged to tackle the Pokemon Gyms in any order, as the Gym leaders train and keep different sets of pokemon to compensate for the varying levels of challengers they face. If a trainer completes the Gym challenge they will receive the Gym badge for their efforts and a TM from the Gym Leader's personal stock. Contests are run and rewarded as usual, but a cash prize has been added for top performers in the contest, in order to incentivise trainers to participate.

DA RULES (pretty much just the games' rules)

OOC RULES
The basics. Be respectful, polite, etc. I don't mind an argument, but if it's getting long take it to the PMs or something. You all know what to do.

Oh, but the most important rule is no Meta-gaming. Things that are reasonable for your character to know are fine, but RPing things they don't know is part of the fun. If you're cracking open Bulbapedia every 5 minutes then there's not much of a point in the fact that we only have one Pokedex.

SHEET
Some caveats before we start. The age of your character should be about 10-12, maybe a bit lower if you want but if you want to play higher you better run it by me. Teenagers are unfortunately not dumb enough to think that catching them all is achievable, so I'm hesitant to have them. As for starter pokemon, there's not many limits. Doesn't matter if it's a starter or if it's from another region, if you can reasonably say you have it then you can have it. That definitely excludes legendaries, so don't even try. For the appearance, an image or a description is ok. We'll pretty much be taking moves straight from Bulbapedia so keep that in mind. Anyway, here's the quick and dirty copy paste sheet:

Feel free to change it and shift stuff around, I'm not really great at formatting.

If you have any questions, just ask.
The invitation had arrived with the mail. A challenge of sorts, addressed to Danny personally. It was succint and to the point, featuring his full name, an address, and a stamp. The stamp consisted of angular straight lines, depicting a robotic looking face.
"Are you going to go?" His dad asked.
Danny nods. Regardless of how they found out who he was, the fact they sentthe invitation to his house had certain implications.
"Do you need us to-"
"It's alright, this shouldn't take long."
"Alright, just be back before dinner." His dad said, smiling.

As the elevator descended, Danny prepared himself. His feet morphed into claws, stretching the legs of his jeans. His teeth slowly melded into sharp points as his mouth stretched wider, splitting open his cheeks. He left his head transformation there though, he may have been in need of a human face at the end of all this. The back of his jeans burst open as a large tail worked its way out behind him. He kept his hands in his pockets, ready to transmute into talons at a moment's notice. As the elevator door opened and Danny stepped out into the dark room ahead, it was almost a disappointment that nothing happened.

An array of lights flickered to life across the room, illuminating a metal clad figure in the middle of the flat room. A man in samurai armour with a katana at his waist. Strangely, he seemed to be made almost entirely out of metal. Danny put on his best smile and began walking forward. Though with his new mouth, it looked more like a menacing grin.
"I was expecting some traps or obstacles down here, you know." Danny said casually. "Hope you're not going to split into 6 like the ones I fought yesterday.
"Petty tricks." The samurai said, drawing his sword slowly. "Speed is the only true power."
His voice droned out with the sound of clicking metal, echoing out into the empty room. His katana glowed red and hummed threateningly.

Danny stopped walking and the metal-clad samurai pointed his sword towards him.
"They call me the Super Sonic Samurai, and I am not without honor. You may wait for your friends to arrive, if you wish."
"They're not really my friends just yet. And if it's all the same to you, I'd like to get this over with."
"Very well. The samurai said, resheathing his sword.
He his body clicked and whirred as got into a ready position, leaning forward with one foot back as if preparing to charge at any moment. One of his hands rested on his scabbard and the other on the katana's hilt. Parts of his body opened and slid across, revealing a lean metal flame. Something akin to engine clicked on, sending a low rumbling sound into the surroundings. Danny's eyes changed colour, becoming more reptilian in nature, as the combatants prepared to fight.

"Let us... Begin."
The Super Sonic Samurai burst forward to meet his adversary in battle.
Here, have a look and tell me what you think.

I'd like to give this a shot, probably going for woodsmoke. Hope I'll be able to find a good picture.
“So, is the rest of the museum secure then? No more troublemakers?”

Danny glanced back in the direction of the museum.
"I suspect... not. He mused aloud.
While the museum security's actions seemed cowardly, it made more sense as he thought about it. Instead of chasing the 6 criminals outside their pay grade, they returned to their posts to watch out for threats they could handle to prevent further disasters from occurring. They probably wouldn't have to worry about anything else.

With those thoughts out of the way, he turned his attention back to the group. It was quite a strange bunch of people; Arthur the strange LARPer and his large wolf friend not being the least among them. They seemed to be down some members, perhaps they went to chase down the escaping criminals. Danny would have liked to follow them but he was feeling quite worn out after the day's work.
"I will be taking my leave." He said, bowing his head a little. "Until next time."
With that, he turned and leapt into the maze-like back streets of Grailham.

"Call me... Raptor." Danny said softly, though through his throat it sounded more like a growl.
He had never cared much about what others called him so he hadn't put much thought into an alias. There was probably some b-list hero who bore the name more fittingly, but the advantage of being an independent vigilante was that he didn't have to care about copyright infringement.

Danny surveyed the situation. While at first it seemed like the heroes had a significant advantage in numbers, the 6 members of the group split themselves further into another 6 members each, which immediately evened the playing field. Nevertheless, the clones didn't change the circumstances too much. Perhaps the enterprising heroes here were stronger than average.

The boy-dinosaur briefly glanced at the heroes closest to hand. He first directed a reptillian green eye towards the pink-clad magic-shooting being to his left, a girl(?) who had transformed through some kind of magic, with the ability to shoot beams. When they had first arrived and took to attacking the criminals with their fists, Danny had them pegged as a yonug lunatic, with the self assuredness of one who had just discovered their superpowers, convinced of some illusiory invulnerability. It was comforting to know that they had the means to back up their confidence, though the drastic pivot in personality and talking to their animal plushie didn't immediately quell his concerns of their mental wellbeing.

As for the girl (young woman perhaps), who seemingly had produced the forcefields, she had a strange smell that he had never encountered before. What was certain was that she was not human; some kind of construct, perhaps, but he couldn't tell. It wasn't very important right now, though. He gently put the crate down next to the futuristic girl.
"Please protect this as well, Shield Maiden." Danny asked her.

With that he began walking towards the rest of the criminal members. He seemed nonchalant but he was trying to keep the raptor's bloodlust in check. The 2 figures he had wounded were merely clones, but the sensation of cutting their false flesh stood fresh in his mind. Still, it looked like things were winding down. Half of the criminals had been taken care of, and the other half were nowhere to be seen. Though he could still smell their scent trails...
"I will give chase." He said to the two heroes nearby.
The scents of the villains split into two paths, and Danny instinctively chose the path with a heavier scent of blood. He rushed past the sword wielding stranger and the large wolf, into a forest clearing, only to see a yellow figure being carried away by 2 red figures into the distance. Danny stopped himself shortly after. They were too far away, and chasing them down wasn't a good idea. 3 of the 6 original criminals had been taken out, which left the 2 he could see running and 1 unaccounted for.

He seemed to remember there were 2 crates, and it wasn't with red and yellow men. The other criminal would have carried it farther than he could chase right now. The teenager sighed, turneing back towards the city. Perhaps they would be caught another day. Instead, Danny turned his attention to the 2 strange beings in front of him, one seemingly dressed in some kind of medieval outfit, complete with a sword, and an anomylously large wolf. They were quite unique, even by modern standards. The wolf seemed to be very intelligent, judging by his observations before, but he seemed to not be able to talk. He decided to talk to the young man instead.
"The enemies have escaped." He reported to them. "May I know who you are?

@The Forgotten@Ryik
The hairs on the back of Danny's neck began standing on end. He was being watched. His eyes darted around, taking in his surroundings. He couldn't see, smell or hear anything, but his instincts told him that he was being watched by someone... or something. It couldn't be Them, could it?

There were drones in the area, but they weren't anywhere close to him. They focused on another, flashier, hero who joined just before the situation devolved into chaos. Others joined the fray but none of them seemed to notice him. Perhaps, then, there was some kind of invisible observer somewhere, waiting to pull the strings... The blond-haired boy shook his head in an attempt to refocus. There was no reason for that organisation to be here, not for this level of crime and not around this many people. Perhaps it was nothing, just a random feeling of his. But he decided to play it safe.

Danny shook his head to relax the muscles a little, beginning the morph as he did. His hair as his skin became roughened and browned. His jaw lengthened, pulling his cheeks forward, his chin forward, his teeth, sharpening as his jaw grew. His eyes stayed right where they were, but now they sunk into pits and shone like baleful green stars. A predatory sheen had taken them over, and his transformation was complete. He had transformed almost fully into a velociraptor now, save for the tail and his torso. It was a littls surreal, seeing the head of a dinosaur peeking out from a school uniform. As long as it hid his identity, it would be fine. Some heroes fought for glory and recognition, but Danny wasn't one of them. It was probably too late for him to fool the hidden observer, and plenty of people could identify the school he went to, but this would do for now.

With that covered, the teenage velociraptor looked down at the situation. Things were getting increasingly out of hand, and while there was a quite an encirclement of heroes, the disorganisation meant that holes would form sooner or later. It was time for a decisive strike, and Danny knew where to do it. Bounding across the rooftops, he paused for a moment above his quarry. In such a messy situation it was difficult to time his moment to strike. But an opportunity soon arose as a young woman appeared, blocking the path of the crate bearers. Danny sprung down, claws slicing out in a sudden flash of violence, carving shallow wounds into the thieves' arms and spraying fresh blood into the air. The crate dropped out of their wounded arms.

The crate fell towards the ground, about to make contact with the pavement, but Danny was faster, launching himself towards it as soon as his foot touched the ground. He tackled it away from the would be thieves, skidding to a stop between the young woman and the group of villains. He put himself in front of the crate as if to protect it.
"This crate... does not belong to you. I will return it." The young velociraptor hissed.
His voice had become rough and raspy, and his head's shape made it difficult to enunciate. But he had practised speaking in his dinosaur form for just an occassion. Unfortunately, while he had wanted to spout a witty one-liner, the saurian instincts that came with his transformed head made that difficult (he had never been one for one-liners anyway). In lieu of that, he hoped that his claws and teeth made a sharp enough argument to the thieves.
