I'll be going on a two week vacation starting tomorrow and don't know how often I'll have Internet access. Thank you for your patience. I'll try to be more regular when I get back.

As Shizuka sat there, she continued to listen to her sound file, trying her best to pick up other people's conversations with her ability. She remembered in middle school, accidentally blurting out things she had only heard from private conversations that others had, which caused a lot of people to shun her for her natural eavesdropping tendencies and calling her a stalker. She noticed at the front of the room, one of the student council VP's was performing an intricate wind trick with paper. it was impressive, but seeing higher level espers showing off only reminded her of her level 2 inferiority. "But that's why I'm going to perfect level Upper!" she reminded herself, and listened more intently to the audio file, trying to pick up on how it was subtly affecting her brain.

There were a few times she had tried to show off her powers in the past. The first time, she shattered all the windows in class as well as the teacher's glasses. "We speak not of that incident." The other time, she started to emit music, but then people started calling her 'BGM' or 'Radiohead', haha.

When another JUDGMENT member walked by, she glanced up at him and immediately averted her gaze. She remembered seeing him on stage and thinking that he looked like a prince with his long black hair. She sighed to herself, telling herself that she shouldn't get her hopes up.

Still, there were a few normal looking sorts, like the bespeckled girl seated next to him. Wataru took his place and set about withdrawing what books and stationary he might need, finding to his mild disappointment and private relief that no teacher had shown up yet. In the silence he decided that making friends would be a good start if he was to stay sane. 'Good morning.', he said to the girl, flashing a friendly smile. 'I was worried that I might end up seated in the middle of a group of strangers and I'm no good with that.' Brushing a stray lock of hair out of his eyes, Wataru extended a hand in greeting. 'Satou Wataru, esper and I guess now a member of the Student Council. Joy. Nice to meet you?'

Shizuka stared up at Wataru with a befuddled intensity that one might misinterpret as killing intent. She quickly caught herself and clumsily pulled out her earphones so that he wouldn't think that she was going to continue to ignore him. "G-good morning..." Shizuka prayed she wasn't blushing, "O-Otonashi Shizuka...esper...level...2..." She accidentally included her level in her introduction. Considering the stringent application process, she was sure Wataru was a significantly higher level, and awaited the condescending remarks and ridicule.
Since no questions were forthcoming, Sion quickly walked up to Maya and whispered something in her ear; a pall of slight worry descending on her otherwise unstoppable smile. "Well," she began, a hint of disappointment in her voice, "you are free for 12 hours to get acclimated to the carrier. A map has already been uploaded to everyone's drive profile. Dismissed. Don't get in trouble now."

Solomon had, this entire time, stood respectfully at attention as he was now in the presence of other Ascendeds, Ascendeds who also happened to be his superior officers. "Ensign Solomon Lear, reporting for duty. Permission to speak casually," Solomon asked, approaching Maya.

Maya blinked hesitantly, all the while still keeping up her friendly smile. She glanced over quickly at Sion, who stood silently next to her, then back at Solomon. "Of course."

"I just wanted to say what an honor it is to be serving under the command of a noble. Lieutenant Reese mentioned your name on the shuttle, but I only just now remembered why I had heard it before," Solomon gushed. To the others who had seen his behavior earlier on the shuttle, it was pretty disgusting.

"Actually, Ensign Lear...we need to talk," Maya said, trying not to spoil Solomon's good mood. By this time, Sion had walked over to Captain Hargreaves and was whispering to her as well. Catherine pulled out her drive and sent a quick text. Within a few moments, the chief hangar engineer, a gruff looking older man came over from the cog bay.

"Seaman Rogers?" asked the engineer, looking around at the new arrivals.

Claire looked at Tera and nodded, doing as she had suggested. "I'm sorry about my sister's behaviour. She isn't friendly to a lot of people." Claire said. If she kept acting like this, Blythe would never make any friends. Deciding to push the thoughts aside, Claire looked at and admired the cogs.

In response to Claire, Tera said, "But it's not entirely her fault, is it?" Tera saw Blythe's behavior as a defense mechanism. It was her upbringing in and around hospitals caring for humans that prompted her to notice things like this and try to help.
A reminder, even though Sion can be referred to as Lieutenant Reese, and Maya is referred to as Lieutenant Encarnacion, Maya outranks Sion by one rank. Sion's rank is Lieutenant Junior Grade, but people tend to leave off "Junior Grade" for simplicity.
I'm going to say that everyone has a small usb-thumb-drive-sized device that is used as a personal identifier/key and all-around informational gateway. It projects an i-pad-sized holographic image that is touch-sensitive. It basically acts like a smartphone. It can be stolen, but it doesn't actually store any information, all information (especially personal information) is stored on the 'cloud' and accessed remotely. It can be locked through various means including passwords, touch designs, biometrics etc. I will call it the personal drive, or 'drive' for short. This will make it convenient when I need to give your characters information, the map of the Incubator, for example. it ill also give your characters access to things that have been assigned to them, lockers, rooms, cogs, etc., without needing to be given keys, or needing to worry about losing those keys or having them stolen, since you can always be assigned a blank and have all you information reaccessed.
Same
@STern Algorithm Guess whose in seat 7, I'll give you a hint, its one of my OCs and its not Kazeno. Wataru and his friend are going to have an interesting year.

Sorry, I moved Shizuka to seat 20, next to Wataru's 19. Also, Jistudan is in 7, so I'm not sure who you might be referring to. What seat is Freddy Fazbear Subject J-43k?
<Snipped quote by Stern Algorithm>

I dun' see why not, we haven't started the class yet

Cool, @Lennon79, Wataru get's a friend!
And Wataru gets an entire row to himself XD

To be fair, I wanted Shizuka to sit next to Wataru, but I based my map off of the details given in @LokiLeo789's post to maintain Continuity (that seat 9 was in the front row closest to the door).

EDIT: @Hebigami Shiho, can I change my seat number?
Who's Jelly?
