OK, it's pretty lonely in there. It is only used when manufacturing a cog, and when upgrading an existing cog. Since the cogs have already been manufactured and are not yet in need of upgrades, the room is not in use. Blythe still has access to it though so she can totally be inside.

Personality: Fantine is wise beyond her years, and knows more than she lets on. She thinks a lot and feels for others, but smiles and behaves in a way to convince others that she is living a carefree and ignorant life. She does this because thinking about things makes her sad, and she doesn't want Eponine to know that she is sad. Fantine knows that her own happiness is Eponine's last remaining source of happiness. She has a strong desire to please those around her and happily serves Maria.

Bio: Fantine is Eponine's younger sister. The anti-magical girl militant group that had occupied their village became more violent when the villagers decided to fight back. in their violence, the militants raped Fantine's parents and Eponine, then decided to rape Fantine and her twin brother, which prompted Eponine to contract and become a magical girl, destroying the militants. When Eponine swore fealty to Maria and incorporated their slum into Maria's territory, Eponine requested that Fantine be placed under Maria's protection. In return, Fantine would serve as Maria's maid, and Eponine would be absolutely devoted to Maria.

So I have a CS for Fantine; I also added a Theme Song to Eponine's CS. Since it's a feudal society, I'm also wondering if we want actual nobility titles.

We could have the ruler of Aurora have the title of 'Duchess', followed by 'Marchioness', 'Countess', 'Viscountess', 'Baroness', and 'Knight'.

Anyways, the following is Fantine's CS:

Maria won't abuse her precious maid; on the contrary, if anyone even looks at Fantine the wrong way they will be thrown out the window. Maria's HQ will most likely be a mansion with the perimeter consisting of high walls and guards at every corner-tower.

Edit: Depending on if you're going to RP Fantine as a separate character, I might actually make some changes to Maria's characterization and make her a bit more sympathetic, with more of an emphasis on her trust issues and fear of being inferior rather than the sadistic and cruel focus she currently has, since I didn't think she'd have a meaningful relationship where she could develop in the RP. In Tvtropes terms, Fantine could serve the role of a Morality Pet to Maria.

To Maria, something that still has use for her is not expendable, which means as long as she thinks Eponine and Fantine are loyal to her she won't think of them as being expendable. That is, unless her paranoia starts acting up, depending on the circumstances.

I do plan on RPing Fantine, so I'll get a CS up for her soon. I think the relationship between Fantine and Maria would be interesting. With power-hungry characters, it's always good to explore how far they'd be willing to go to acheive power and who they are or are not willing to hurt to achieve their goals.

This fits Maria very well, since she would be the type to have a strong right-hand man (girl?) at her side in classic mastermind fashion. With your permission, Fantine could also serve as a personal servant to Maria. She loves to be treated like a princess, and makes sure anyone who fills that role for her is kept safe and happy. This could also serve as a source of future tension depending on how Maria and Eponine continue with their relationship.

I like the idea of Maria using Fantine as a servant/maid, as long as Maria doesn't abuse Fantine. Though Eponine wants Fantine to be treated like a princess, Fantine is smart enough to know that just being able to serve Maria and live within the safety of Maria's HQ (whether that's a fortress, bunker or what-have-you) is a privilege that she doesn't really deserve/hasn't really earned and that she should at least try to earn her keep as much as she can.

I might make Fantine a character too then. I'm planning on making her a bit wiser than Eponine despite being younger. Fantine is vaguely aware that she is Maria's leash for Eponine, but she is grateful to Maria and feels that the situation 'is what it is'. She doesn't yet realize that if the chips are down, she and Eponine are expendable in Maria's eyes (though this is just an assumption on my part).

Let me know where you would like Claire and her group to go next on the ship or if you want to split from the group, or just want to skip past stuff.

As for Blythe, there aren't many places in the ship that are 'high', since it's like a multi-story building with the floors all relatively low. The only places that are high would be the hangar because they need to stand the cogs up in it, the Cadmus Reactor Bay for the same reason to accommodate cogs, and the Tachyon Harp Chamber because the hyperdrive core is fairly large for a ship this size, tho it is more long than tall, it does have some pretty high catwalks. If Blythe is in any of these rooms I can describe them to you. If she's in the hangar, it's also likely that Mike will run into her while running maintenance on the cogs, so that's an interaction you can RP if you would like.

Not exactly a 'high' place, but the place with the greatest elevation, AKA the top floor, is the Bridge, where Captain Hargreaves controls the ship.

He looked away for two reasons: the first being that he was scared just thinking about Solomon's terrible power, the second being that his question was maybe a bit rude and he felt ashamed for asking.

"I am unbreakable, I am unyielding, I am impenetrable."

Personality: Eponine comes off as robotic to most. She values order above all else and believes that to achieve order, the ends justify the means. Her form of altruism is the cold, calculated utilitarianism that the incubators also happen to follow, that the good of the few can be easily sacrificed for the good of the many. She is for the most part, obedient and unquestioning of her orders and tries to the best of her ability to fulfill her missions to the letter. She cannot tolerate insubordination or rebellion, unless it promises an even better organization, an even tighter grip on chaos and human free will. She has a strong desire to protect her sister Fantine, her allies, and the majority of her vassals, though she will sacrifice a few of them if it meant protecting most of them. Eponine has a soft spot for Fantine. Eponine worries that soon, she will lose her ability to love her sister due to the negative side effects of her wish.

Bio: Eponine was born in a slum of North Africans in the outskirts of Aurora. She lived with her father, mother, and two younger siblings: fraternal twins, a boy and a girl. Due to their destitute living conditions, the community became disgruntled with the ruling magical girls. Eponine grew up hating magical girls for not protecting and providing for her town. When a group of militants came to 'liberate' them from magical girls, the militants were welcomed with open arms. However, their talk of 'revolution', 'liberation', and 'equality' was empty; they were little more than bandits expanding their territory and winning support by throwing around high-minded ideals. Life under this militant group was worse than the neglect they faced when under magical girl rule. When the North African community decided that they had had enough, they revolted and failed miserably. The militants suppressed the revolt swiftly and Eponine saw both her father and mother brutally physically and sexually assaulted by the militants. Then she became their next victim. At this point she was already broken, and she simply let it happen, but when she saw others reach for her sister and brother, she snapped, and an incubator appeared before her. When she became a magical girl for the first time, it was a night of blood as Eponine cleansed the slum of the militants. In the aftermath, her brother had died from injuries he had sustained while he was being raped, while her sister, Fantine, survived. Seeing Eponine as their saviour from oppression, the community changed their minds about magical girls. Eponine sought out the magical girl that governed over her region, Maria Goethe, and swore fealty to her, aligning herself and her community to Aurora. Now she rules over and protects the slum, which has become her fief, her territory which is part of Maria's larger domain. She keeps Fantine safe in Maria's HQ.

Skills: Very few, maybe a proficiency with polearms having swung her warhammer around enough times. She has the tactics of a juggernaut.

Weapons: None

Other: Eponine's diet has gotten increasingly spicy as her sense of taste has deteriorated to the point that she can barely taste anything anymore. She also sometimes bites her own tongue and inside of her cheek when she is speaking quickly, so she often bleeds from the mouth. She calls her force-field the Zone of Absolute Terror.

Magical Girl Appearance:

Eponine keeps her eye, hair, and skin color of course. Also, no bonnet and no katana.

Wish: "I never want to be hurt again." Her wish not only granted her an impenetrable force field ability, but has significantly reduced her ability to feel pain. Because she will feel pain if those close to her are harmed, her ability includes the bonus of being able to protect others. However, she can feel her sense of touch overall deteriorating, including her sense of taste. It has also slowly affected her ability to feel emotions, as emotions are ultimately the true source of pain. This last bit worries her, since loving Fantine is the one thing she has left.

Weapons: Eponine summons and wields a warhammer. She can summon more as necessary and as part of a way to extend her magic.


Powers: Force Field - Eponine's force field is a thin, impenetrable layer covering her body when activated. It can be extended to her warhammer, making the weapon indestructible. She can also extend it to allies if she touches them. Keeping it on drains her magic so she lets it down when she feels she is safe. It can be further activated with 'Rejection', which sends all things touching it to go shooting off in the opposite direction. She cannot use 'Rejection' to propel herself. She can summon multiple hammers and stand them with the head on the ground and the shaft pointing up. She needs a minimum of three set out in a ring to activate a larger force field, a hemisphere of protection projected from the shafts of the hammers.

OK cool, so let's say Maria controls territory in which Eponine's slum is located. Eponine swore fealty to Maria, and by extension, the current ruler of Aurora. Eponine will do anything if she is convinced it is for 'the greater good', though she's not that much of a thinker, and with her condition, not much of a feeler either, so should be fairly easy for Maria to manipulate. She sees MG's as enforcers of order, and may be reluctant to fight other MG's but can be easily convinced that her enemies are trying to disrupt order. Eponine probably won't really mind that Maria is slowly consolidating power, but if and when Maria finally decides to go against the ruler of Aurora, she will have to convince Eponine that she can rule more firmly and enforce laws more absolutely. Considering the probably constant infighting and chaos as MG's vie for power and standing, Eponine would welcome an absolute, tyrannical rule.

Basically, Eponine will become Maria's Dragon.
