I'm waiting for you anyway as did you not say you were gonna post something to do with Lorne? Or did I misread that?

Yeah, I'll get a post up tonight, probably.

I'm sorry, I'm stuck on my opening post here. ^^;

Feel free to introduce your own conflict if you'd like, or maybe wait for Robert Hernandez to stir something up.
I guess some people who can't travel as far as quickly are kind of stuck in their cities. At least for people in Angel City, Robert Hernandez is about to start something, so there should be something to do there. I'll wait just a bit more before I push things along.
As Blue Team approached Enemy Group 5, the warships around the freighter were reluctant to leave formation as that would disrupt the jump. But as the got closer, some broke off from the group to engage. A battlecruiser and a carrier moved to block them from getting to the freighter. Legion began firing an endless salvo of beams at the battlecruiser but it was protected by a beam shield. The battle cruiser started firing its cannons at the mechs, but they weren't designed to target such small objects. The carrier released a swarm of dozens of strikecraft, bearing down on Blue Team.

"They think they outnumber us!" Solomon scoffed, commanding Legion to release all 18 demon bits, that flew towards the strikecraft, zipping around randomly. "What's the plan, Blue Leader?" Solomon asked, trying to concentrate on keeping the strikecraft occupied.
Yeah, basically, what @baskets said, we already have a Quantum bounty hunter. As for being a terrorist/religious fanatic, I'd like everyone to be on the same team. Since 'terrorist' is such a poorly-defined term anyways, let's just focus on the religious fanatic part.

There actually is a Quantum 'religion' that has room for fanaticism: "The Perfect Machine Ideology". The ideology basically states that 'evil' comes from a survival/Darwinian/'animal' nature and that to be 'good' one has to transcend that base nature, making machines, AKA Quantums idea sources of good, as long as they can abandon their 'human' weaknesses. Most Quantums believe in the Ideology to varying degrees, for example, the lance leader, Pharazon believes that the Perfect Machine embodies 'purity of the mind' and has chosen to suppress their emotions as well as make themself androgynous as Pharazon believes that gender is a physical aspect that has too much 'emotion' attached to it. The captain of the Destiny Squadron who I have yet to mention has chosen a robot-looking body instead of a human-looking one believing more in the 'physical perfection' of the machine body.

So in an ideology like this, one fanatic extreme would consider all humans as evil or inferior, or something like that.
Once all cogs had arrived, Maya ordered Tera to perform a scan and update everyone's tactical computers. The enemy flotilla was divided into six groups of freighters, each group protected by their own band of warships.

"Commander," Tera added, "Tachyon readings are spiking for the enemy fleet, I think they're preparing to jump."

"It would be difficult to prevent all of them from jumping, should we focus down one group?" Maya asked, directing her question to the bridge of the Incubator.

The bridge communications officer replied, "Captain says to split your squad into two teams, and send each team at two groups each. The concert ships will take the remaining two group. We've a good chance ofat least stopping three of the groups fro mjumping, and if we're lucky, we'll get all six."

"U-understood," Maya replied. It was understandable given their exemplary performance that the captain would have such confidence in them, but Maya was unsure how to divide the group, and was also unsure of how some of them would act under pressure. She had seen Claire Blythe and Solomon's ability first-hand, so she decided to put them in one team. "Asteria, Nyx, Legion, you're Team Blue, Asteria has command; Mayura, Orpheus, you're with me, Team Red. Team Blue's targets are Enemy Groups 5 and 6, Team Red's targets are Enemy Groups 3 and 4. Fury will be acting autonomously, providing support wherever his judgment takes him, alright? begin operation!"

Obsidian thrust away from the group with Mayura following close behind, and Orpheus, a bit slow on the uptake, straggling a bit, but catching up. As Team Red left, Solomon turned his attention on Claire, skeptical and mildly infuriated, though he kept it to himself.
I think it would be good to have a recon type in the team.

Also, as everyone launches, take a moment to christen your cog, and let the catapult operator and the rest of the bridge know what you want your cog to be called from now on.
I should point out that if people want to go to Blue Harbor, but do not want to fight Meltdown, there are people to save and reactors to prevent from going critical. Someone asked me the extent of damage, so I'll elaborate: sections of the plant have collapsed so some people are buried under rubble with rescue efforts trying to save them, the reactors might go critical, Meltdown has been releasing a lot of infra-red, so the path away from the plant is mildly scorched with dried grass and partially burnt trees. Meltdown is an overhuman who can release radiation, basically alpha particles, beta particles, gamma rays (EM waves) and neutrons. Even though Meltdown is a source of radiation, he is not a source of 'fallout', he does not contaminate the environment by his mere presence.

I'm lagging a little behind on filling out the rest of the other 'Big Six' characters. I'll let a few more players post before I have Meltdown react to being confronted.
A few hours later, the pilots were called to the hangar again.

Sion gave the briefing while Maya stood beside him, "As we left Cepheus IV, a signal was intercepted intended for the Homeworld base we just neutralized. Our task force has traced the signal to what appears to be an armed freighter fleet. We believe they were supplying the Homeworld insurgents with weapons and supplies. When we are in range, we will try to negotiate with them, but if negotiations break down..."

Red lights began to flash while a siren blared.

Sion sighed, "Suit up."

Following the same launch procedures as before, Sion went out first followed by Maya. Sion's Fury immediately split into its three parts that zoomed off in different directions to scout and exploit weaknesses in the enemy ship formations. Maya surveyed the situation and waited for the rest to join her out in space.
Pharazon nodded at Corina, acknowledging her question, "The training will cover basic piloting and targeting. Theoretically, it shouldn't take long to get a 'feel' for piloting a cog. Once you can get the cog to move how you want, then we'll have the carrier send out some targets to practice on. As for rules of engagement," here Pharazon paused, they didn't sigh but looked like they wanted to, they did close their eyes for an unusually long time before opening them again and continuing, "due to the 'unconventional' nature of cogs, you will be granted a lot more autonomy than would be typically allowed for normal soldiers. The only things I can say are, 'we sortie when we are ordered to', 'communicate your intended actions to the lance before carrying them out', and 'unless I say, "Commander's orders"...you are allowed to rely on your best judgment'. For the most part, our lance should only be faced up against enemy units, we should never encounter hostage situations or anything of that sort, though fighting in populated urban areas is a high possibility. In such situations...trust your best judgment, but never intentionally endanger civilians." Pharazon concluded. They didn't like these 'rules' but on this ship, the research division's word was law. Pharazon added that last part about not harming civilians intentionally as the research division was ready to give the pilots full permission to do whatever they 'felt' was the 'right thing to do' in combat.

"If there are no other questions, then everyone get in your cogs and prepare to sortie."

once everyone had entered their cogs and initiated the Cog OS boot up, the frames holding the cogs in their places began moving the cogs, sliding them along their backs out towards the compartments that ringed the central body of the carrier. A comm link was established between each cog and the bridge's catapult operator, whose voice could be heard going through the launch sequence while the cogs got situated in the launch compartment and the blast doors opened. "This will be your maiden launch. While the carrier is designed for simultaneous launch of up to six craft, for this time, we will being doing it one at a time so the Lieutenant Commander can catch you if you have trouble braking. Phalanx, you are cleared for take off."

"Lieutenant Commander Pharazon CXS, sortieing." With that, the frame carrying Phalanx shot forward, releasing Phalanx when it reached the end of the launch rail, propelling Phalanx out into the hyperspace bubble.

"Alright," came Pharazon's voice over the comm link, "Send the next one out. Let me know if you're having trouble controlling your cog. Again, the way you control your cog should 'feel right' to you, if you think this lever, or this button, or this pedal brakes, then that's probably the one."
Alright, first IC post is up. I have presented a situation anyone can get involved in, since it's between the two cities that we actually have players in. If your character will not get involved, that's fine too, you can still post what your character is doing, or create another situation that others can get involved with if you would like.

The distance from either city to the plant is approx. 280 km, or 175 mi. If your character travels at the speed of sound, you'll get there in approx. 15 minutes, assuming your character starts out in one of the two cities.
