@Stern Algorithm I can see you put a lot of effort into that post, and I applaud that. I really do. But I have made it clear more than once now that in this game, you control only your character. That's it. The GM controls everything in the world. You can't invent NPCs and details that you didn't know, and you cannot make their actions for them. On top of that, my update for you specifically mentioned that whatever vehicle had gone missing also reappeared after a few days, meaning it is no longer gone. I'm really very sorry, but this is a post that needs a complete do over, and is your first strike.

Dang it, I did it again. I am so sorry. I somehow forgot you mentioning that the vehicle was found. As for the NPC thing, I misconstrued something from the PM you sent me. Sorry, I'm not trying to make feeble excuses, but I do want to explain myself. I have been in too many RP's where I always need to have a 'plot contingency', basically, something for my character to be doing to stay relevant on the off-chance (or not so off-chance) that the GM completely forgets my character even exists. It's pretty sad really, joining a group RP and then being forced to play with yourself. At this point in my rocky RPing experience, this behavior is so deeply ingrained that it probably takes a 'first strike' and a stern reprimand for me to unlearn it. My big mistake here was not putting my faith in you as GM and defaulting to my previous paranoid behavior. It was more of a subconscious act rather than a conscious decision. Again, I apologize for over-stepping my bounds, things should be smoother from here on, I hope. I also want to apologize to @Kouki, who is probably patiently waiting on me to finish/edit my post.

My post has been edited. I look forward to the continuation of this RP (hopefully without any more hiccups on my part).
Clementine bowed slightly as she and Jonah were dismissed and Shplorn excused herself to her quarters. As she headed towards the vehicle bay, she decided to make some small talk, "Thank you for accompanying me, though I don't think protection will be necessary; unless the spiders here are more dangerous than I assume. Oh, but I'm not rejecting your company or anything; you're free to accompany me...I mean...I suppose it's your job..." Clementine chided herself for attempting to hold a conversation; a skill she knew she was bad at.

This break in conversation had Clementine feeling self-conscious and awkward, and she hoped Jonah would fill the silence. She looked at him, noticing his confident stride and professional attitude and wished she could be as sure of herself.

When they arrived at the vehicle bay, Clementine looked around, seeing if she could identify the employee in charge.

Arsene had woken up earlier than usual today and had spent the morning outside in the backyard testing his power by lifting tiny dirt towers out of the ground. Around noon he had considered going inside to see if his mom had made lunch but he saw Julian through the sliding glass door and decided to pretend that he was still training and wait for Julian to leave. He wondered when it had gotten this bad, since when did just saying 'hello' to his own brother become something awkward. He didn't 'hate' Julian, nor was he currently angry at him, but over the years, something had been lost. However, these thoughts were too uncomfortable to think about so Arsene, as usual, ran away from his problems by throwing himself into his work, which in this case, was his practice of his ability. But the emotional distress managed to spill through, causing his next attempt to raise the earth come off a little too strongly as a large cylinder of dirt shot out at the chain-link fence, putting an indent in it, and causing a large rattling sound. Arsene decided to stop practicing, but he looked through the sliding glass door to see if he was in trouble. While his mother seemed angry that the fence was damaged, his dad wore an approving look on his face. Arsene went inside.

"S-sorry about the fence...mom," Arsene apologized, "I-I'll try to push it back into shape later."

"It's fine." She said, with a bitter finality as she shot August a sharp look, indicating that he had already talked her out of chiding Arsene, "Can you call Vickie? We're having lunch."

"Sure," Arsene agreed not wanting to piss her off more than he already had. As he headed away from the kitchen, he asked, "I suppose Julian and Emilia are...?"

"Out," Lexis finished his sentence, "So's Don, as usual."

"Cool," Arsene replied, feeling suddenly less tense to know that it was just himself and Victoria. He considered feeling guilty for being relieved that his other siblings weren't here, but chose to ignore that particular distraction. Heading upstairs, Arsene reached the door to Victoria's room and knocked, "Hey, Victoria," he said through the door, 'It's time for lunch." he then headed back downstairs and took a seat.

Hammond went to the cabinet The Bunny Man indicated and after opening it, unceremoniously moved kitchenware out of it. Reaching his stick in and shining a flashlight into it as well, he gave the far wall a tap, noticing an unusual amount of sawdust falling. Hammond sighed, and got back up, not returning the kitchenware he had taken out. "Well, unfortunately, you're right, you do have termites. The good news is: it's unlikely they've been here long so there shouldn't be too much structural damage. The bad news is: today is only for inspections, I'll have to schedule another day for extermination. Too bad for your ears." He said this last part with a complete lack of sympathy. "I'll still do a quick run-through of the rest of your property, if you don't mind. The rest of his inspection was mostly just a cursory glance, but he trusted the tenant's ability to hear the termites and if he didn't hear them anywhere else, then they probably weren't anywhere else.
"I suppose you're right," Kalram said, "But I don't know if I want to be mayor when I come of age. I want to do something exciting."
"OK, let's start with something simple," the AI said. The program booted up a simulation in space fighting against enemy strikecraft. There weren't that many since Asteria wasn't suited for combat. "Fight as you would normally, I'll maintain awareness of your surroundings and 'nudge' you if I have a suggestion for where to move, what to attack, etc."
@Stern Algorithm Be careful not to overstep your bounds in the RP. The world is run by the GM, and that includes the discrepancies in the profit/loss statements, not to mention the NPCs. I'm ok with you mentioning that one of the biggest discrepancies is a lost vehicle, because that was actually going to be the case, but nobody has dismissed you yet. Please take things one step at a time and try not to control things you don't actually control. Thank you.

Ok, not a problem. As @Charnobylisk mentioned, it's different than how most other GM's I've encountered on this site do things, but that's not a bad thing. I actually prefer doing things this way and will happily comply in future posts. I apologize for overstepping my bounds and appreciate your leniency.

@Stern AlgorithmHow do you plan on being a Power Ranger if you're brain washed?

I mean, you don't have any free will and every time you leave the base, you'll just instantly get more brainwashed because light itself is part of that.

Wouldn't your character just report us to the authorities?

Edit: Well wait, not immune doesn't mean brainwashed.

Part of her brainwashing was making her compliant and easily persuaded, being taken out of a Galatec environment and regaining some of her own thoughts and struggling with the mental conflict that brings, she will default to compliance as she tries to sort herself out. I imagine brainwashing effects are not immediate so short term reexposure to a brainwashing environment will not "flip a switch" in Clementine's brain and make her switch sides on the fly. I imagine the brainwashing is more like indoctrination, you believe what you've been taught for the majority of your life. You can act counter to it for reasons of self-preservation even if you still believe in it. Conversely you can slowly stop believing in it if you witness the thing you believe in being strongly challenged, but even then, you'd be plagued with doubts and second-guesses. Something to that effect.
"D-don't worry, Director, i-it's just a spider," Clementine said, trying to assuage the hysterical Shplorn. Getting between the Accounting Director and the arachnid so Shplorn wouldn't need to look at it, Clementine added, "Mr. Fallen will take care of it soon."

Letting Jonah do the menial task Shplorn had ordered him to do, something Clementine was sure was well beneath his skills, Clementine started flipping through the fiscal statements to distract Shplorn's attention from the spider. Clementine meticulously scanned through the statements, noticing that here and there, were hidden losses and costs that were unaccounted for. Clementine pointed them out to Shplorn, offering the possibility that in a facility of this size, reporting errors were practically inevitable, despite Galatec's famed efficiency. Clementine then offered to perform an audit at each department that had discrepancies to resolve these issues.

Looking behind her to make sure Jonah had performed his assignment, Clementine backed away from Shplorn to allow the Director full view of her table again. "I will hopefully have these matters resolved soon, and hopefully you'll be able to report higher profit margins than before. But I will keep an eye out for embezzlement." Clementine stood at attention and waited fro the Director to adjourn the meeting before heading out of the tiny office.

On her way out, Clementine turned to Jonah and remarked unsarcastically, "Good job with that spider." She decided that she would head to the vehicle bay first, as one of the largest unaccounted costs she had seen was an unmanned mining vehicle.
Hey, I noticed in the "Samara" portion of the first post, it's mentioned that Clementine is one of the people the mentor believes can become a power ranger. Now since I've stated that Clementine isn't immune to the brainwashing/conditioning, I think it would be funny and a character-building point if she came up on the Mentor's search because of a huge, overblown misunderstanding. She made an off-handed comment about Galatec once that has since been taken by her corporate rivals to sabotage her. Behind her back, the rumor kept growing, and she keeps being placed under increasing scrutiny. It's part of the reason she's never been able to climb the corporate ladder and why she's not been given important jobs and positions, because her office doesn't trust her. She's partially oblivious to it all, but has her suspicions. Maybe the Mentor mistakenly saw her as someone who was trying to hide the fact that she couldn't be brainwashed.
"Thank you," The AI replied, "Are you going to run a combat simulation? I think I can help you."
