_{Physical Description}

Svelte and petite with dark skin, sun-golden hair, and sky-blue eyes, Shakti also has a glowing golden halo hovering over his head. The angle it's at indicates his mood. Some would describe Shakti as Cherubic.

_{Characterization}

Shakti is sweet, pleasant and gentle. He is an extrovert and loves people, approaching people randomly to strike up conversations. He can be uncomfortably forward and touchy-feely. Though he can be sensitive at times, for the most part, he's learned to shrug off aggression and criticism, choosing to focus on the good. He is motivated by a strong desire to experience new things and to be useful to others.

_{Personal History}

Shakti was born in the bustling city of Mumbai, India, to hard-working, well-educated parents, who made enough to provide their son with a comfortable upbringing. He expressed a fluid gender identity at an early age, something which his parents allowed him to explore. Though he faced some antagonism, he had a strong support network from friends and family and was able to shoulder through the worst of the bullying. From his supporters, Shakti learned that heroes didn't have to have physical strength, and set his sights on becoming a unique kind of hero.

His parents knew he had a quirk when his halo suddenly appeared above his head when he was two years old, but couldn't figure out what it was. They knew that when their child kissed either of them, or the family cat, his halo would detach and create a small landmark. A few incidents and a bit of experimentation were required. The first being one time when Shakti's father had finished a particularly stressful day at work. While walking home, after reaching a certain range, his longing to return home sooner than his legs could carry him caused him to warp into Shakti's room suddenly. The second time had been when the family cat kept reappearing in Shakti's room as well. After that, they got the gist of how his power worked and, being the curious, scientific, objective types, set out to figure out the limits of Shakti's quirk.

Given the sheer utility of this quirk, it came as no surprise that Shakti was scouted by a faculty member of Ishin Academy, who happened to be visiting India. Having hobbies and interests that originated in Japan, Shakti jumped at the opportunity, unaware of the rigor that he was about to be put through.

_{Character Development & Conceptualization}

Part of Shakti's character development is learning that life isn't all sunshine and flowers. His positive outlook on life will be tested. His quirk may give him a sense of invincibility, and he needs to learn that some things you can't reset. His quirk also makes him very stationary, so he has at least three or more paths to choose from; 1. becoming a tank to defend his area of influence, 2. becoming a 'dancer' class to utilize mobility and cunning within his area of influence, or 3. becoming a pure support.

[Save Scumming] - Shakti can erect a checkpoint at a fixed location, which allows himself and selected individuals to warp to the checkpoint.

Rules

• Shakti leaves a copy of his halo as a checkpoint at a location. The checkpoint has a 20 yard area of effect.
• The checkpoint is created when Shakti 'anoints' someone by kissing them on the forehead. The anointed becomes a 'party member' and has a halo marking them as such.
• Shakti can currently anoint a maximum of 3 party members, although each subsequent member must be anointed within the checkpoint's area of effect.
• Any party member can teleport back to the checkpoint after a five second channeling time and if they are within the checkpoint's area of effect. Though not necessary, it is easier to focus on the channel by pointing the index and middle finger at one's forehead. As party members move away from the area of effect, their halos dim. Once they leave the area, their halos vanish and they lose the 'anointed' status, and need to be reanointed in order to use the checkpoint.
• Shakti can also choose to teleport any party members within range back to the checkpoint, he also needs to channel to do this.
• As long as Shakti is within range of the checkpoint, he can teleport anywhere within the area of effect but still has to channel. If Shakti leaves the area of effect, the checkpoint collapses entirely.
• Shakti can erect a checkpoint twice per day, and the checkpoint lasts a maximum of 12 hours. When he erects a new checkpoint, he needs to re-annoint party members, and the number of 'lives' is refreshed.
• Teleports are limited to a fixed number of 'lives', currently five, which are shared between party members.

Potential future developments

• More lives to use.
• Faster channeling times.
• More party members.
• Healing-over-time within the 'Fountain'.

_{Other Talents & Attributes}

Shakti is good at doing deft, detailed work with his hands and is a Gunpla hobbyist. Given that his parents have encouraged him to seek out learning opportunities, he's worked in a fancy bakery, and knows how to make delicate pastries. Among his many, exploratory experiences, Shakti has also been the drummer of a garage band with his friends. Shakti is also a casual gamer, which is why he has used gaming terminology do describe his unique quirk.

Looked through the character applications so far and I'm just wondering if there were any under-represented 'classes', AKA damage-dealer, bruiser, support, etc.

I have a bruiser, a support, and a 'speedster' in mind. Just trying to decide which I should bring in.

I'm not sure if you got confused or not @Stern Algorithm but the money team was suppose to go through the first portal Kazuma opened, and they were suppose to be a floor or two above the ground team. Once they walked through the portal the plan was for those guards to show you to the vault which was located upstairs away from the main group. @AngelofOctober apparently was suppose to go with you to take the money, and get away with it with a few of the other soldiers.

Whoops. I don't remember seeing anything about teams, floors, priorities (or any actual planning really). As a point of advice for future avoidance of confusion, the GM shouldn't always post from the perspective of NPC's. There should be an actual 'narrator' point-of-view that details things, 'meta'-things, to inform player characters of things they are supposed to know that aren't being explicitly told to them by NPC's.

Or maybe I just take too between posts and have to try to sum up half a page of catch-up, thus letting details slip through the cracks. Oh well.

"Oh, shit. Well fuck. Alright Karma, let's go!" Dieselpunk cracked her knuckles and headed through the other portal, leading to the safecrackers. "Alright Karma, looks like everyone's waitin' on the money." Dieselpunk said as she let the team of robbers lead her and karma over to the vault, finding the door open and the drillers putting away their equipment. "I'm gonna need this," Dieselpunk said as she grabbed the vault door and began fusing with it. The metal rippled as it warped off the hinges. As it traveled towards Dieselpunk, it displaced her body, causing her clothes to tear off, but before anything naughty could be seen, the large, round, metallic object had already replaced her entire torso and waist, making her look like a large, grotesque, stainless steel turtle with tiny human limbs sticking out. Dieselpunk waddled around heavily; the vault door didn't have enough moving parts for her to incorporate into her muscles and joints, which meant that her limbs were still unprotected and it would be slow going until she got some actual machinery in her. Still, her 15 minute timer had started, and she needed to be quick about it. Wandering around, she absorbed a few safes as well, giving her exposed head and limbs some coverage.

Dieselpunk jokingly asked Karma, "How do I look? This should protect me long enough until I can grab some more cars and trucks. You and the robbers, get the money, and get in the car. I'll be your shield and get in the way of anyone who tries to stop you." Diesel punk pounded a steel plated hand against her vault door-chest, causing a resounding metallic clang. "Once you guys are safely away, I'll see if the front door might need some help, but for now, they're going to have to hold the line."
