• Swordplay - Iyana has honed her sword skill for most of her life so far. While good compared to most fae, she could be considered a master amongst the shorter-lived races. She can fight with either arm, but favors her right.
• Shock Magic - The Tas family style of shock magic has been passed down to Iyana. It imbues her sword strikes with electric charge. Even a small cut from the sword will jerk the muscles of the victim involuntarily, disrupting their form and creating openings. Iyana is limited to small zaps only. She cannot perform feats of electrocution like the family masters.
• Acrobatics - Iyana is proficient in remaining balanced in almost any condition. She's also well-versed in climbing, sneaking about, and other feats of dexterity.

Iyana is a fae teen who is about to mature into adulthood. She's not quite at the full height of an adult fae, nor the proper weight for a toned swordswoman. Her skin is tanned from long hours of training in the sun. To protect herself from the sun, she wears multiple layers of airy robes over tight underclothes. The layers also double as helpful protection from the bone-chilling desert cold at night. Instead of proper armor, she relies on hidden metal bracers to deflect strikes if she cannot simply dodge or parry the attack. Some may find her gaze uncanny, as she never seems to blink while one looks at her.

p e r s o n a l i t y
Iyana is unfamiliar with almost every situation. She has only ever known her training. As a result, when it comes to non-combat skills or social interactions, she is unsure of her actions and constantly being surprised. She loves to learn new things, but is deathly afraid of failure. This, combined with her upbringing, has led to a crippling polarization in her skillset and personality. She will be confident and assertive during a fight, only to immediately shirk away and clam up when asked about it afterwards.

Ray was excited for dinner. Sure, alcohol was great and all, but it really wasn't his thing. He really preferred something more filling, more hearty. What could be better than some good ol' burgers to fill up his friends' empty bellies?

Well, today would be a little different than normal. Ray had splurged a little bit on the ingredients for the trip. He unpacked some premium ground beef and began to shape them into patties. This blend had a bit of heart in it–literally. He'd just read a study on the health benefits of eating them and was eager to try.

As the Marshall verified their identities, Ray focused on grilling everything to perfection. Only when the Marshall mentioned the gryphon problem did he perk up.

"I'd love to cook some gryphon. It's kinda hard to get it in stores nowadays, 'specially with the minor rationing we have to do. Someone's got to watch our stuff, though."
