Why does saying "I love you" have to have so many romantic connotations? There are so many people I love in a way seperate from anything romantic. <3

He's made of bones, he's made of blood, he's made of flesh, he's made of love. He's made of you, he's made of me. UNITY!

Bio

A thing that will die after eating rat poison

But really, a guy that likes to RP. Not too keen on sharing personal info in my bio, but after I get to know you, I may open up a bit more in regards to certain things.

I have been roleplaying for most of my life, but forum RP is newer to me than tabletop. I wanted something to do to kill time without putting wayyyy too many hours into Dark Souls 3.

I love music, historical fencing and re enactment, making shit, and just being cool with people. Talk any of these things with me, and you'll be cool with me. I have very strong thoughts on sandwiches. Ask if you dare.

Here's a list of cool people from this site that are just cool people that I enjoy talking with, and a quote from each of them. In no particular order, here they are:

@Goldeagle1221
"What the shit?"

@TheGrundlesnart
"Don't quote me."

@MissCapnCrunch
"Rodent is a little shit, I want to beat him up but in the most loving way"

@Rultaos
"If you're feeling unimportant, always remember that every protagonist was an NPC before their most important story began"

@iTem
"haha yeah"

@Sirkaithethird
"I'm just running an aux through my amp, Playing Van Halen at 05:50"

And that's that. There's not much else I feel like saying. Here's a list of bands I like (to be made soon)

@VitaVitaAR Oh, rad. So I'll be okay to move him into chars?

Okay, I've quickly updated Pate's sheet. It needs a bit of polish, but I gotta run now :)
@VitaVitaAR Awesome, thanks :)

(Also you're on 10200 posts. Isn't that a satisfying number?)
@VitaVitaAR I was kinda thinking a similar thing with the willingly lent service thing. I'll have it so that he's befriended a spirit that can help him out once or twice a day. Fair enough about the second one, I can totally see that. I'm guessing stuff like speed buffs are okay? Would summoning the friendly dead knight to attack someone okay? If not, what about some kinda charge that knocks them back?

I'll update the sheet in a few hours, I'm using a phone at the moment
@Raineh Daze I have to say, that's the first time I've been told to make my character higher fantasy

Maybe to fix two of the mentioned problems I'll make him a seventh son, giving him the ability to communicate with the dead and use them for magics. Stuff that's more internally focused, I'm thinking, here are some examples:

  • Ghostly Armour: Pate takes a moment to call upon the spirit of an expired knight. He binds it to his body, causing a deep purple aura around him, shaped like a suit of plate armour. This ability acts like real armour, but weighs nothing and doesn't restrict his movement at all, but he can only sustain it for fifteen to twenty minutes before his soul starts to be eroded by the bound spirit.
  • Drag Under: Pate calls a highly malignant spirit into his sword. When it makes contact with someone, the spirit is sent to reave their soul, resulting in extreme pain. Unfortunately, this spirit is impatient and will turn on pate if he doesn't hit someone or banish it within two minutes.

I think I'll make one or two more when I need to actually add them to the sheet. Maybe I could even make it so he's befriended the spirit of a knight who he can call on once per day, but it won't attack him?

As for the armour thing, I was trying to keep him lightly armoured for the sake of speed and maneuverability. (Yeah, I know armour doesn't impact this as much as is commonly portrayed, but it does a bit. Those milliseconds are precious to Pate)
@VitaVitaAR Alright, no worries :)
Alright, this is sheet draft 2. Let me know what needs changing :)

Are you guys open? Just want to make sure before I make a sheet :)
The occupants of the common room slowly filtered out, so Henry thought he'd do the same. He walked down the hall to room number 11, opened the door, and entered. Ugh... I need to fix this place up he thought, gazing at the neatly decorated room. He left his bag by the door and began to change the room to his comfort. He dismantled the bed, stacking the frame in one corner and tucking the mattress in the other. He opened his bag and took out a data pad, a gun, and a small shield generator. He put the shield generator in his pocket, and zipped it up. Next, he stashed the rest of the room's contents in the same corner as the bedframe so the room was bare except a stash in one corner and a mattress in the other.He opened his data pad and recovered an old music file, allowing the melody to fill the room as he sat in quiet reflection.

The officer that had escorted him here was right, Henry was scum. But he loved it. Freedom from law is something to revel in. Stryker seemed to have a more genuine concern, even without knowing that Henry had provoked the officer. One event isn't really fair to judge somebody on, so he disembarked from that train of thought. The Harrison fellow was probably the cook. Seemed fine. Food is necessary to humans, so that's a bonus. Idly, he wondered if there were more crewmembers and when he'd meet them. Oh, and the pissed off lady who just took food and left. Henry guessed that she was pissed with Stryker, and it had something to do with what had to be Tib and the cranky lady mating. How Stryker had anything to do with that eluded Henry, but humans' minds work in weird ways.
"Ah. You're right, this isn't really a luxury cruise.", Henry monotonely replied. He was offered some food by Harrison, who was the other man in the room. "Thanks.", he said, his hunger speaking for itself when he devoured his food within a minute.

A lady walked in next, seeming to practically ooze discomfort. She took some several plates of food, and left. Henry tried to look puzzled when he asked, "Uh... It might be a dumb question, but what's got her mad?". He looked at the others to try and speed up their response, and had to do a double take when he noticed a large woman sitting at the table. He was so startled that he basically shouted "When did you get here?!", paused for a second before speaking again, "Oh sorry, I was startled.. He would've sheepishly picked at his food, but there was none left.
