(Ahl-vah J Zol-kin) She prefers to go by the name of AJ, her most common and well known nickname. The meaning of Alva is brightness, or the exalted one. Jay, her middle name, means swift. Zolkin, the one thing that her mother did not have a say so in, and that she was given at birth. Common nicknames include: Once again, AJ. This is what she will always introduce herself as, Ace, and all of the other little random things people tend to come up with on their own.

•••Family••••Mortal Parent: Alva Jay's mortal parent was her mother, Titiana Camille Zolkin, a woman with the same blonde hair as Alva's, except she had blue eyes and stood at the height of five feet, seven inches. Alva's mother died in a fatal car crash when Alva was 13 years of age. Her car hit in the side by a eighteen wheeler and slammed against a tree, the doctors said that the woman never had a chance, being killed upon impact, the car totaled. Two weeks prior, she gave AJ the necklace that she continues to wear to this day.

•Stepfather: AJ's stepfather is Trillan Jacob Edwards, a tall man with dark hair and eyes. The CEO of Edwards & Lincoln lawfirm married Alva's mother when the girl was 6. At first, Alva did not know what to think of the man, but Trillian took in Alva as if she was his own from the beginning.

•Siblings: "You call those hellions siblings?" Alva considers the boys to be the six people in her life that never let her live things down, steal her food, hog the TV and leave a mess everywhere that they go. First off, we have Gabe, at 19, the twins -Zack and Josh- at 17, Luke at 15, Parker at 13, and Keith at 11. Gabe, Josh and Zack are from Trillians previous marriage, where as Luke, Parker and Keith are from his marriage with Titiana. No matter what the connection, they are always either at each others throats or laughing with each other.

¬Place of Birth: Moscow, Russia. Lived there until the age of five.
¬Hometown/Last Residence: Santa Monica, California, USA.
¬Race/ethnicity: AJ is about 30% Russian and the rest of her is a mix of Irish, and Swedish. Approximately 10% of both.
¬Accent: She tends to speak with a light Russian accent, due to have been living in the United States. She typically adds emphasis on my L’s and pronounce the “th” sound like a z. So for instance if she was to say the word this, it will be pronounced “zis.”
¬Skin Tone: Her skin tone could be considered a pale Ivory. She's not deathly pale, but you can tell that she is definitely pale to a certain extent.
¬Eye Color: AJ's eye color is a very light Hazel. Sometimes people tend to ask her whether they are actually hazel due to the fact that are mixed with the natural grey in them that tends to stand out just a bit more. But trust and believe, the technical term is Hazel.
¬Hair Color: Her hair color is a very light blonde color and could possibly considered platinum blonde, though she prefers to refer to it as blonde. Alva has never considered platinum blonde as a so called “natural” hair color.
¬Hair Length: Alva's hair falls down to her waist in the long length that she has always preferred to keep it. It is falls in natural light waves, not to be confused with curls.
¬Height: Approximately a full 5 foot, 2 inches or roughly 157 centimeters.
¬Weight: The current weight of 112 pounds.
¬Body Type: AJ could be considered a thin hourglass figure, though her body tends to lean towards being considered as the inverted triangle type. She has long legs and long-ish arms as well.
¬Appearance: Alva has what is considered to be a lithe frame; small, tiny and graceful. Her hair falls down to her waist, being considered platinum blonde in a series of light waves. Though small framed, AJ does have the slightest undertone of muscle due to her training and working hard at Camp Jupiter and her gymnastics lessons.
Her face is made up of her small, gray-hazel eyes, average, rosey lips and nose and her possibly to long golden hair. AJ's hair is usually left falling naturally or pulled into a high set pony tail that is nappy looking with the bangs left out to do their own thing.
The small figure can typically be see wearing neutral color clothes such as whites, gray's and blacks. However, she may throw in a dark blue or purple shirt every once in a while. No matter what, Alva always wear's her leather jacket somewhere on her body unless she is sleeping. As for footwear: Either combat boots, converse, or converse lace-up boots, or maybe even wedges with her adorned dresses. When she does wear dresses, skirts or sorts, they are short. And by that, it means that they are shorter than they should be most likely, but not short enough to show inappropriate things. Make-up is a key part of the girls appearance. Mascara and eyeliner is a everyday must for Alva, the eyeliner going on heavy. As for eyeshadow, it can be light, dark, silver or gold. Her lipstick/lipgloss tends to range in colors and shades as well. Alva has a silver rope chain with a heart on it. She never goes anywhere without this and even where's it to bed.
¬Weapon: Alva fight's with a dagger as well as a long sword. Both are Imperial Gold.
¬Armor: Standard camp armor made of metal.
¬Pet(s): AJ owns a Doberman Pinscher, a current three years of age. He goes by the name of Casiel (Cas-e-l). Casiel is a approximate eighty-five pounds, and stands at about twenty-seven inches. He is very protective of Alva, almost always by her side. He does indeed go with her to Camp Jupiter. She also owns a solid white cat named Snowflake, however, the cat stay's at home.
¬Skills/Talents: •Gymnastics: AJ started taking gymnastics lessons around the age of five. Balance comes along with this as balance beams soon became a easy task for her at the approximate age of 7, however she did not learn how to to the official turns, flips and jumps until the age of 8. This also means that Alva is very flexible, so, if she does some really weird move where her body looks like it's in a knot, do the girl a favor and not freak out.
•Fashion/Make-up: Okay, so growing up in a house with six brothers, Alva soon learned that a girl had to have some things of her own. This included her make-up and her clothes, thus, AJ became obsessed with the two. If you ever need a make-over she's the girl to come to.
¬Flaws: • Physical: Alva's physical flaw would be that her eyes are just a little too small for her face. Not small enough that you don’t see it, but small enough that people tend to point it out to her. In Alva's opinion, it is very annoying, causing her face to look very un-proportional.
•Over Competitive: AJ is very over competitive and might just cheat to win things. Okay, where there’s no might about it, she will most likely do it just to make sure that she wins win. The girl just likes to win, okay? There’s just something about it. And just a fair warning, when she gets competitive, AJ talks smack and lots of it.
•Overly Stubborn: So, everyone likes to get there way right? But when AJ says that she is overly stubborn, she means mean that she will try and convince you of what she think and get her way. Most of the time, is seems as if the girl can not accept no for an answer.
•Alva has no idea what to call it, but there is this thing that she does where she try her absolute hardest and always pushes herself to the limit in order to prove herself worthy of other people and things. If you dare AJ to do something, the girl will do it in a heart-beat just to show you that she is, indeed, just as good as you. Maybe you could call it cockiness?
•ADHD: Even by demi-god standards, AJ is ADHD. She constantly rambles random things and always has to be doing something. If she doesn’t have something in her hands to mess with she will tap her fingers, shake her leg, or something to that effect. The girl hardly ever stays still.
¬Strengths:•Climbing: So, AJ and her brothers used to make bets about who could climb what, and, naturally, Alva thinking that she had to be the best at everything to prove her worth, decided to climb anything and everything. As a matter of fact, she still does so till this day.
•Due to Gymnastics, Alva is very flexible and quick, helping the girl out in combat.
¬Weaknesses: •Alva is very lousy at archery. The girl has tried time and time again, only to never succeed in using this sort of weapon.
¬Likes: •AJ isn’t the type of girl that goes and buys every fashion magazine there is to own, but she does consider herself a fashion enthusiast, always staying up to date with whatever trends even if she does not wear them.
•Music: Hands down this is Alva’s first and most major love. She has no care for One Direction or Maroon 5, though loves Panic! at the Disco, Fallout Boy and Daughtry. Other bands would include: Puddle of Mudd, Pantera, Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin and other such bands along those lines.
•Pranks: Living in a house with 6 brothers, a girl has to know how to defend herself. Therefor, Alva turned to pranks. Both simple and complex. Something along the lines of homemade trip wires are her favorite.
•Challenge/Dare: Alva almost never back away from a dare, always thinking “Go big or go home.” This tends to get her in trouble sometimes, but she likes the dangerous side of life.
¬Dislikes: •Alva hates it when people tend to want to pet her due to her height. Yes she is short, and yes she may come off as cute, but she is not a dog, nor a cat so do yourself a favor and don’t give her an open window to break your hand.
•Meat: Alva's biggest dislike, hands down, is meat. The girl would not eat it if you paid her to do so. Alva will eat tofu, however actual meat such as cow, pork, or chicken, is a definite no go. Needless to say, the girl is a vegetarian.
•Messing with her things: You have things that belong to you, Alva has things that belong to her. She does not mess with your things, so, in return, she expects the same respect. The number one thing that you do not mess with that belongs to AJ is her playlist.
•Bullies: Okay, so all people are different is some sort of way. When Alva is around, do not mess with people, call them names or anything of that sort. Yes, a small prank that does not make a person sad is fine, such as hair dye in their shampoo. If AJ catches you bulling a person, she will jump into instant defense mode, standing up for that person.
¬Fears: •Large crowds: Yes, Alva is a people person, so she loves to socialize. However, the girl likes to have her personal space. Thus, when she get's around so many people that she feels that she cannot move or hardly breath, she starts to panic.
•Claustrophobic: AJ is scared of small and closed in space's. She like to avoid them if at all possible and will start to panic even at the mention of one.
• Alva also suffers from Kakorrhaphiophobia, which is the fear of failure. The girl has always supposed it is because of her height and small frame that people see her as weak, therefor she tries her damnedest to prove them wrong, so, it hurts her feelings when she does not succeed.
¬Personality: Alva is one of the most courageous and determined people that you could ever meet. However, she also has a kind side to her tough-girl persona. If you come to her with a problem, no matter how big or small, she will do her best to help you. Some may find this irony, considering her father is the god of the North Wind, and those who have brought it up, have lost close to all of AJ’s respect.
If you ever find the small figure staring at you, don't get a big head about it, nor get offended. She stares at people all the time, sizing them up and doing her best to find their weak spots; Call it a survival tactic if you wish. She always has a smart ass comeback for everything; Call it inventive thinking with a hint of goofy snarky-ness. Her brain is constantly going oh-eight-hundred, leaving her to talk to herself the majority of the time about elaborate plans or spewing random facts, perhaps even just stringing random words together.
AJ is a very smart person, both book and street smart on what could be considered an above average level when it comes to the book part. When she says book smart, she doesn’t mean on the basis of reading, but that of school books such as science and english. AJ always says the craziest and most random things, leaving you to think "What the heck does that mean" or "Is she mentally unstable?" Her energy levels are through the roof. Imagine you took a squirrel, gave it a jumbo sized can of Monster energy drink and then put it into a very small place so it's constantly bouncing up and down trying to get out. Pretty sure that sums up this tiny, spunky, blonde figure.
¬Abilities: •Considering that her father is the god of the cold, north wind, cooler temperatures do not affect AJ. Anything that is not below thirty-two degrees farenhight does not bother the girl. Thus, this means that there is really no point in Alva wearing her jacket, or gloves, even, but she still does it either way.
•Considering her godly parent once more, Alva can tell which way wind is blowing from. If it is coming from the north, she can tell you the exact speed in which it is blowing.
•When Alva gets exceptionally angry, ice tends to form in the palm of her hand. This is uncontrolable by her, as until she is cooled off, she will freeze just about anything that she touches. The ice lasts for two posts and cannot be melted until the room temperature is eighty degrees farenhight, or is melted by something like fire. When she touches things when her palms are iced, the ice is a quarter of an inch thick and leaves a circular figure of seven inches round. Maybe one day she will learn how to actually control this and turn it into something useful.
¬Powers: •Chilled Winds: Alva can create a 2 foot round sphere made of wind. Inside of this sphere you can find small ice shards, the wind being a approximate 29 degrees. The ice shards are enough to cause minor cuts, the wind traveling at a maximum of 17 miles per hour. She can control this sphere for up to 3 posts, with a cool down of 5.
•Levitation of Objects: AJ can lift anything with wind as long as it is not over 30 pounds. She can control the object for 2 posts, with a cool down of 4.
•Little Tornado: AJ can create a tornado of about 5 feet tall, and 2 feet wide. This is her maximum size of creation. The tornado spins at about 20 miles per hour. She can control the tornado for 2 posts with a cool down of 4.
¬Social Status: Alva is known by many, but only considers very people her friends.
¬Summer or Year Rounder: Year rounder, though she takes every opportunity she can in order to go back home and visit.
¬Years at Camp: One year. She is still on probatio.
¬Life Before Camp: Alva Jay was born in Moscow on November seventeenth to Titiana. The woman had previously met the god, Aquilon, at a prestigious party. The two clicked and next thing you knew, Alva was born. Titiana raised the girl for the first snippet of her life, never letting on the fact that she did or did not have a problem with the girls father walking off without any said explanation. At the age of 5, the pair moved to Santa Monica, California, located in the United States. Here was where they met Trillian, Alva a tad confused about what to think of the man and her soon-to-be step-brothers. Needless to say, the two were married, AJ the flower girl. AJ fit right in with her new brothers, among being put into Gymnastics class. She quickly learned this skill.
All throughout her life, Alva has seen thing that were not considered to be real. People and animal like figures. However, AJ never told anyone, as she had been told that she had a over active imagination and was just fine with telling herself that. Her childhood was filled with coming home from school and running around the yard, climbing trees and messing around with the guys up until the point where fashion came into play. Don't get her wrong, Alva would do all of the old activities with her brothers, just never in a nice outfit anymore. Alva's school life was a little on the bad side, however. The girl was made fun of in class while reading aloud and tripping over her words due to dyslexia. Being ADHD helped nothing. She could not sit still in class, causing the teachers to be mad. However, the children making fun of her pushed her harder into her studies, the girl always thinking that she could do better. At the age of 12 or so, AJ began to really get into her music, secluding herself from people that she did not really have a use for. However, the dares and grades, along with witty comebacks, made the blonde girl known to many.
Then came the emotional rollercoaster at the age of 13. Up until this point, Alva's life had been all smiles and laughter, sadness a undertone. On the way back from a Gymnastics competition in which she had placed second, feeling pretty stoked about the matter, Trillian would get a call on his cellphone and quickly hanging up, the pain apparent in his eyes.
"What's the matter, father," the girl asked.
"Mr. Richards from the police department just informed me that your mother.. she was in a accident, AJ," Trillian would respond.
A million different conclusions and possibilities would run through the girls mind as she sat in the passengers seat of the car, playing with the necklace that her mother had just given her two weeks prior. Trillian made the speed hand rise, Alva barely aware of his knuckles turning white on the wheel. Pulling up on the scene, not realizing in the direction that they were heading, Alva would see a gurney, a black body bag atop of it being loaded into a ambulance. A car -her mothers car- was squashed like a tin-can between the front end of a eighteen wheeler and a large tree. It didn't take long for the girl to put two and two together as the grief came crashing down on her shoulders.
"Dad..." Alva said, her voice weak. The man took her small frame into a large, warm embrace, tears starting to run down her cheeks. "I know, darling, I know," was all the man could say.
From that moment on, Alva's world was practically turned upside down. She loved her family, but her mother had been her rock, the person that was always there for her, and she had had no chance to say good-bye. AJ trained more vigorously, studied more and, of course listened to her music more. It was not until the day that Lupa's wolves found her outside of the local coffee shop at the age of fifteen that she realized the strange things in her life was not a dream. She learned of the gods, of Rome, and soon proved herself worthy as she was sent to Camp Jupiter after three months of training. Alva was liked by the majority of people, her daring attitude and spunk being the main contributing factors of this. It was not until 2 months after her arrival to camp that Alva was claimed.
