Determined to start the morning by annoying her sister Gigi, Sabina pranced down the stairs of their home with more excitement than usual. After scanning various rooms and hiding spaces, it seemed as if Gigi had gotten an earlier start on her day or had found a new corner to hide in. Whichever the case, Sabina was mildly disappointed. Thankfully today was the Summer Solstice, and nearly nothing could dampen the young Kiskova's mood.

Making her way in to town, Sabina was sure to stop by Apollo's Cafe for coffee and a small breakfast before heading to the Coliseum. The former Praetor added her signature to the roster before stepping back out to the Forum while waiting for other contestants to arrive. Spending the next thirty minutes or so browsing various wares, Sabina didn't miss the opportunity to place a few bets while she was out and about. Small talk was made, smiles shared. Soon it was time for Sabina to return to the Coliseum to see who her first opponent would be.

Derex Steiner - or 'Rex' as his friends called him - was someone that Sabina knew well. Their time in Legion working alongside one another had set a strong foundation for their friendship. Before Sabina knew it, she looked at Rex sort of like a brother. If she were to lose to anyone today, she would be fine with it being Rex. No matter the outcome, she knew that it would be a respectable and honorable sparing match.

Their spar started playfully, smiles and small laughs exchanged from across the battle field. A spectacle of spear against Warhammer and the dance between old friends. While the fun managed to last, Sabina found herself striking with more intention and force sooner rather than later - and so did Rex. She wasn't quite sure where she went wrong, but that didn't change the fact that Sabina was now sprawled flat on her ass in the dirt. The young woman took her loss with dignity, and exited the battle field with her head still held high. Unlike some others here today, Sabina had no reason to feel ashamed for the way things had played out.

She took the time to get her injuries looked over. Lucius gently reminded her that there was no smoking in the medical bay; a request that was followed, but earned a small grunt of dissatisfaction from Sabina. Nonetheless, she waited until she was bandaged and out of the med-bay to enjoy her vice.

Briefly wandering the stands of the Coliseum, Sabina's eyes landed on Jeremy Grover a few rows higher up. She meandered in and out of the crowd as efficiently as possible before coming to a stop at her friends side. Taking a seat beside him, her gaze fell upon the next set of competitors just in time to watch Ashton forfeit to Gigi. Letting out a loud "BOOOOO", Sabina couldn't help but scoff at the events before her.

"Please tell me you have some good booze I could borrow," she half asked Grover.

Time & Date: June 21st - Summer Solstice Location: New Rome; The Forum, Coliseum, Farmers Market, Shops, Etc. Summer was a more relaxed time for Camp Jupiter; Campers were still expected to keep up with their assigned duties, but with the warmer months came the much-welcome additional free time to journey to New Rome more frequently. With the days getting hotter and longer, demigods were looking forward to the festivals and activities to come with the season. Today was one of these opportunities. It was the evening of June twenty-first, and spirits were high within the boundaries of Camp Jupiter and New Rome. Campers and Veterans buzzed about the sanctuary town, celebrating this year's Summer Solstice the same way New Rome always had - with splendor, a bit of drunkenness, glory, and a splash of debauchery. The air grew hotter still as the sun reached its highest peak for the day, showering all of New Rome in golden rays of splendor. The pillars around town had been draped with large pieces of silk in the colors of Camp Jupiter, making the statues and fountains somehow even more beautiful. The air was thick with the heat of the summer, smells coming from the various eateries mixing with the ever-present scents of the Farmers Market. People were spread about buying wares, eating, drinking, laughing, and just overall having a good time. Jeremy Grover had been nice enough to supply alcoholic beverages in the Farmers Market this afternoon, while Paradiso was having pizza specials. Places like Huskers were selling the heck out of their half-priced wings and cheap draft beers. Booths of all varieties were being set up in the Farmers Market and Forum with various wares from clothing and jewelry to more food. Betting booths were set up throughout the forum with the help of Grover and Avery Pierce, allowing both campers and veterans to make a quick buck off of today's festivities. The Coliseum had been a hot spot for activity today. This morning, campers and veterans had sparred off in a series of tiered battles, leading up to this evening's main sparring event between our champions from this morning's battles. In the meantime, people were enjoying the reenacting of The Siege of Carthas whilst Fauns did their best to make a quick buck by selling snacks in the cavea. When five in the afternoon rolled around, a large bonfire was lit in the Forum. Children began to dance around the flames, while an impromptu group started playing music nearby. In just a couple short hours, the main event in the Coliseum would be taking place, leading to more anticipation and excitement in the air. All in all, today was shaping up to be a day of good food, good grub, and good vibes.

Hello. I am new to RPG, saw the IC in the Discord and IC threads and was wondering if there is a specific way I would go about applying?

Hey dude! Welcome to the Guild!

I highly recommend that you read the whole OOC before jumping in to making a character. I and the rest of the group are totally here for any and all questions and/or help that you may need, but the OOC info is pretty crucial. You can also find the character sheet in the OOC. You can copy that code, fill it out, and then post your character for GM approval in the OOC. After your character is approved, and our IC started (planned for Sep. 27th), you can get to writing!
