It's at times like this that I remember my dad's final words to me before he passed. "Careful son. I don't think the safety is on." Such wisdom.

I prefer not to think before speaking. I like being just as surprised as everyone else by what comes out of my mouth.

I notice I didn't give Blitz a job in the hallow. Should I add one?

I humbly present my character! Feel free to ya or nay. I made this one on a whim but it seems like he would be fun to play.

The Weeping

Location:A pond in Millenia Park, Paragon City

The Weeping saw the strange energy to late as the bolt slammed into their chest. Nigel heard a shrill scream reverberating through his entire being and was blinded by the sudden break from the darkness into the light as his body crashed into the shallow pond. Realizing he was back in control of his body. Nigel blinked his eyes several times as his eyes readjusted to the sudden change in surroundings. He slowly raised his hand to his chest and lightly pressed against it realizing something was wrong.

There was no pain. None whatsoever.

'Huh?' He thought to himself.

It was then that the other strange thing was noticed that he had ignored from the strangeness of the lack of pain. The voices. All of the voices in his head. There was no unity. There was a strange discord of laughter, sighs of relief, and overlapping of multiple voices. Some seemed hellbent on going about and reclaiming old debts, while others were shocked at their newfound state. The Weeping raised his hands to his head and pressed them against his temple before inwardly shouting.

'Quiet!!'

His orange eyes threatened to pop out of their eye sockets. What was this? He began to touch his face making sure he was truly alive. For the first time since he had reawakened there was silence. Nigel could feel tears beginning to creep into the corner of his eyes. Anytime he had spoken to the spirits before had been a harsh reprimand. Vile retorts. Sometimes they would get louder just in an effort to piss him off. But now?

Sweet.

Utter.

Bliss.

After taking in the silence for a moment. He asked the question in his mind.

'What's going on?'

There was more silence at first until he heard a soft female voice speak up almost as if she was whispering in his ear.

'SHE SLEEPS. THAT MAGIC NEARLY KILLED HER AND SHE IS RESTING TO RESTORE HER STRENGTH.'

A slight murmuring began to build in The Weeping's mind as the other voices began hushed whispers to each other as The Weeping noticed his feet were dragging across the bottom of the pond and his head was touching shoreline. He sighed a mixture of relief but also tiredness. It was now that he felt a tiny finger begin to gently tap his forehead. He glanced upward noticing a small figure looking down at him curiously.

Slowly flipping himself over he looked at the small girl in front of him. She must have been no older than seven or eight and she looked familiar to him. She was wearing a tattered outfit with a well-worn and unraveling beanie on her head. The small child began to move her hands and fingers in front of herself as she seemed unsure of signing to The Weeping. Needless to say, The Weeping was confused as he knew nothing of sign language, and he became slightly bewildered as his hands raised upward on their own and began to sign back to the small child.

One of the spirits was conversing with the child and the small girl with filthy blonde hair released a giggle as The Weeping finally stood up which caused the child to extend her hands skyward in a gesture that seemed to scream pick me up. The Weeping embraced the small child and lifted her up into his arms as a spirit whispered in his ear. The same female voice from earlier.

'SHE WANTS TO GO HOME. SHE IS LOST. TAKE HER TO THE MELTING POT. HER FAMILY KNOWS OF YOU BECAUSE OF YOU MAKING THAT PLACE SAFER THAN IT HAD BEEN.'

Nigel looked down at the homeless girl who had her eyes closed and realized the spirit must have signed that she needed to keep her eyes closed. A small smile crossed The Weeping's lips as the duo vanished into the shadows.
For the wailing distance, give me an effective range. Gotta make it a good fight, can't have you wiping out humans as soon as they appear.

The same with the Omnibeam. A one shot that incapacitates them is okay, but I don't want it piercing the core of the planet and causing an eruption.

I’m going to say 15 feet for both. But for the wail. It’s most affective within 5 feet. Every 5 it becomes weaker.

I have no intention of omnibeam being used often. It’s mostly as a last ditch effort. A Hail Mary effort that is basically I’m dead but you are coming with me. Once he uses it he’s spent and becomes a lifeless statue until his energy replenishes.
@Tally Dor What is wailing distance for Gentle? Since this is an underground dungeon, I'd like to know how much range his omnibeam has and its duration. Is there anything that will stop it?

Wailing distance would be within hearing range, though the further you are away from it the less likelihood of it doing anything.

Omni beam at higher levels will be quite destructive as I’m intending it to be his life force/energy reserves. At level one however it won’t last but a handful of seconds and I’ll say it travels as fast as an arrow for now.

As for what stops it at level one, I’d go on the same principle. Wooden shield? Mostly likely no. Steel/metal shield? It’s gunna get really hot and maybe a little melty but it’ll hold.

Also if the Omnibeam is to much to work around for now I can just remove it and let it be an ability he gets as he gets stronger.

The Weeping

Location: The Lucky Noodle, Paragon City
Skill used: Host of Many
@Nallore @Silver Carrot @Iamtheisland @McNephelim

The Weeping was caught off guard by the woman's speed. The flying wooden chair hit its mark directly against his chest. The chair cracked and split apart against his body and the Weeping started to take a step back to rebalance himself as he felt another blow against his back. This one less physical in the physical sense. A strange energy that seemed to cause the spirits to shift and squirm uncomfortably even if a physical reaction was not really shown. The Weeping's head snapped towards the direction of Sarah. The eyes of a predator narrowed in on her.

A Chesire cat grin threatened to split his cheeks apart as the razor-sharp teeth glinted in the light of the Lucky Noodle. They would remember. They would remember all of them. Once the Delgato's had been handled, they would return here. The Weeping had even taken a tentative step towards Sarah when he realized something was blocking his path. He had seen it out of the corner of his eye. That Crane child had gestured with her hands and now it seemed like he was in a bubble of sorts.

An aggravated sigh escaped the creature's lips as he rolled his shoulders. It was in this moment that it seemed all of the Weeping's muscles tensed up, several of the veins in his head and neck becoming visible to the naked eye. That's what those who didn't have a sense of spirits or magic could see. But for those with an eye to the otherworldly it was much more imposing. Countless spirits began to weep and leak out from his body. Some an angry red color, others a vile green, with a myriad of other colors mixed in began to dance in a whirlwind around The Weeping's body. Like a mighty vortex that threatened to break apart a hidden world around him The Weeping threw his head back and erupted in laughter.

Raising his right arm pulling it behind him he gave out a wild right hook that he put his full body behind, and the force field shattered like glass as the claws pierced it. The Weeping allowed the momentum of his strike to carry him forward causing him to charge pass Kenzo. The man had gotten unexpectedly lucky as the charge would likely have impaled him or at least removed a limb from his body had he connected. Though he allowed his orange eyes to burn a hole through him as he went by.

Another face memorized.

Wasting no time now that he was behind Kenzo and in front of Madalyne. He thrusted his open hand out and tightly grasped the teenager's neck and raised her skyward. In its mind the best way to stop a magic user was to deprive them of oxygen or remove their limbs. The Weeping figured the latter was not Amara's preferred method for now. Before anyone could react The Weeping slammed Madalyne into the ground but instead of a crater appearing on the floor and her body breaking she vanished into the shadows alongside The Weeping. He had used the Rat's own shadow to escape. All that was left was a small glittering amulet.

As they traveled further and further away from the Lucky Noodle, The Weeping glanced downward towards the still struggling child.

"I WOULD BE STILL IF I WERE YOU.."

Silence reigned in this realm void of light.

"IF I WERE TO LET GO, YOU'D BE FORCEFULLY EJECTED AND WHO KNOWS WHERE YOU MIGHT WIND UP...."

His orange eyes glancing towards the busy highway of cars speeding down it.
I feel like the chances of this place being kinda huge is high. Old ruined city and all.
It is a rather old game series so that is to be expected.
