How much can you tell us?

It's more of a quality over quantity. I can tell you anything; I just have to ensure that what I say doesn't make my timeline diverge too far from yours until I know that everything has been settled. The farther it strays, the faster the Strings of Fate wear out.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Oh well! That book of hers might have helped! But you're here concerning a specific event in the future, right?

*Nods*
What I dubbed "the point of convergence."
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Ruby Jean!

I apologize; I don't believe I have met that person.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Time travel is so complicated! Was Ruby there with her history-of-us notebook? Or did that get lost?

I'm sorry, who?
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Okay, so do you want to gather as much information as possible before you tell us anything?

I want to at least ensure I have as many chances as I can get before the divergence grows too large. I wish we could have sent someone more familiar with history, but that didn't work out. Second said it helped that I hadn't been born yet in this time period.

We'll figure it out! Soooo, what next?

I suppose the next thing I should mention is how I can talk about the future. The more I influence, the more everything changes. The more the future is altered to prevent me from coming back here, the more I'm pulled out of this time period. In fact, I shouldn't even still be here, based on this interaction. Does that make sense?
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

You don't know that. If it does as little as burn fat it'll be a fucking medical revolution.

<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

I think you need to actually tear or strain your muscle in order for it to grow stronger? That's just what I heard but I never took a health class on it.

This is the correct answer. You build up muscle by breaking it down and reconnecting the fibers. It's similar to your brain, in a sense.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Damn. If you do learn to lucid dream, try doing muscle building exercises every night in the dream but not in real life. I wanna see if we can trick the brain into allocating more resources and releasing lactic acid without actually working out.

It's just going to hurt, not build any actual strength.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

On an unrelated note, I've been lucid dreaming almost every night. I'm testing some hypotheses. Do you know how to lucid dream and/or do you work out at all?

I don't really dream at all (there's the whole "everybody dreams," so I'll qualify that with the fact that mine are either not memorable or incoherent). I do cardio though.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

I literally don't know how to do that?
Plus if nothing else, I've gotten so mentally weak that I'm sure they'd be affected by it.
It's a nice thought, but I don't think I'm ever going to get them back. I know I'm at least honoring their memory by including them in the stories I try to write, and in MR, even if there's a huge preference for Gemini since he helped develop his own character back when he was around.

Since it's a mental game, it's pretty much just figuring it out as you go along. There are ways to do a lot of mental things beyond interacting with others in your mind.
I always encourage trying to get them back, but I respect your decision either way.
