I wasn't always. But I have highly adaptable biology, so my cells ended up self-repairing without nearly as much corruption after I got my powers.

How does giving immortality work?
Depends on how you do it. Some people have powers that make them immortal through regeneration or something, some have a kind of ability that allows them to give it to someone else, some through science, and things like that. I got it through biological adaptation.
