I cannot - for the life of me - manage to manually turn off my PS4 by pressing the button. My damn cat, however, manages to hit it every single she even bypasses the console.

My kids found an old Barbie TV from when I was a kid - you know, the kind that was huge and boxy with a tiny-ass screen - and my daughter said "No, mommy, TV's are flat." Another parenting fail.

My kids don't understand what a (computer) mouse is or how to use it. They keep poking and swiping at my monitor. I have failed as a parent.

Life has been a bitch for a while. but I think I'm good to come back now
@NobodiesHero I ended up playing with water balloons and eating ice cream with my daughter all day yesterday and had such a blast that I forgot all about anything else - including the fact that I needed to get my frown lawn fixed, which I then spend my evening doing, forgetting all about writing a post. I won't apologize, 'cause it's been a while since I've had such a good time, but I will get that post up today.
I have a dude on PM who might wanna join/stalk us.
#First Update: I added "Appearance" to the Character Sheet. I will get the OOC up sometime today, though I really would've preferred getting a bit more interest first. That is all.
@NobodiesHero Either way is fine with me, too xD Just do whatever feels right. If you feel like writing now, go ahead. If not, you can wait. Easy peasy ;)
@NobodiesHero Sounds good. Haru-chan will be getting herself some grub, so he can find her gobbing down half an elephant at the cheapest location where anyone that hadn't periodically been exposed to various types of poison would likely get a stomachache from just sniffing the fumes coming out of the place.
Kidding aside, I'll make a post of her faffing about and stuffing her face tomorrow (10:30 PM here ATM).
I just imagine Haruka going "hmm, that dude looks sort of familiar where did I see him before" only to realize and be like
@NobodiesHero As dangerous as it would be for Haruka's fragile and not-at-all-innocent mind, should our brain-babies bump into each other someplace? Since Haruka is there on all play, no business, she could technically be/have been a patron of Natsu's, since she likes femme boys (though she prefers brunettes with white eyes :sadlol). I'm not saying she should be, but it'd be deliciously awkward if she were.
Also, I decided to wait with the event for several reasons. One being that I realized that literally nothing has happened yet and one being that I just don't trust Halvtand anymore (jk, I love you, Beu ).
So, I did make a new Interest Check, but I didn't put as much detail into it as I originally planned. In fact, I chose to leave a bunch of stuff out to be discovered along the way, such as the whole Atlantis bit, so please keep that to yourselves if new players come along
The news were all over the world; yet another ship had gone missing in the infamous Bermuda Triangle. The ship, called The Drudge, set out with more than 200 passengers heading fro Europe, but disappeared after just a days worth of travel, more or less in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle. “All attempts to contact the vessel has failed and the ship is now considered missing. All of the passengers' next of kin have been notified and has been told to contact their local police if they know of anything that could have influenced the sudden vanishing of an entire ship.”
But the ship did not just vanish. It was lured off-course by the song of several sirens and rammed the top of an undersea mountain. With the hull damaged, the ship started taking in water and went down fast. Many of the passengers drowned. Some were, unbeknown to the others, dragged into the depths by undines, whilst others were snatched and eaten by terrifying cestea; sea monsters in the shape of serpentine fish, ranging in size from that of a small size to that of a large whale.
Few people did survive and made it to one of the nearby islands. The island does not have much vegetation. It consists mostly of rocky ground with sand washed up on the shores. The middle of the island, however, is an about two miles in diameter, thick, lush jungle where you could not possibly pass through without cutting down a branch or some vines. In the very center of the island is a clearing with a spring of pure, clean water, surrounded by decorative, white columns. On the northernmost shore stands a white alter with algae and coral growing on the smooth surfaces.
I know this isn't the greatest piece of writing in the world, but it gets the job done. It gives the basic amount of information on the setting. I don't really want to write a whole big deal about how shit came to be or anything like that, just know that this is all planned and that your characters are going to find out the secrets of the island as they explore and discover. I will add more information as more is revealed and if people ask for specific information that I feel I can give at the moment. Nothing new will be added for the OOC, so this really is just to gain interest and the OOC will be up tomorrow for dramatic effect.
What I want, nay NEED, is dedicated players that are up for some fun times and like to keep the OOC lit as well. A wise idiot once said that an active OOC makes for a more active IC. I care way more about the quality of your writing, than I do about the quantity. I'll be satisfied with a single paragraph, as long as that paragraph moves things along and has a “feel” of your character.
Now, there are obviously a few rules. Everyone gets one warning and if they break a rule again, they will be kicked. There is one exception, which is an instant kick.
No metagaming, powergaming, God-modding and whatever else in those kind of terms you can think of.
You can only post twice a day, unless there is two posts or more since your last post.
The GM will make events and they may happen to only one character:
Example: Jack suddenly started feeling sick and running a slight fever. Example: Jane could barely remember what her mother looked like anymore.
I expect posts once a week and if this cannot be met, please give notice.
If you know you will to away or get busy, please give notice ahead of time.
DO NOT EVER TL;DR me or any other player; this is an instant kick for being disrespectful.
There is no main character; we are all equal.
All characters must be approved before they are moved to the Character Tab.
When you submit your Character Sheet, you must also write five random facts about yourself (The Player).
More rules may be added at any time as the GM sees fit.
Hello! <Snipped quote> Let's say that ideally, everyone posts once a week. After how many weeks would we be able to jump to the second part?
I'd say it depends a lot on both the characters and the players. There might be someone (or several someones) that decided to check out all of those weird things almost immediately,
There won't ever not be these mythical/magical/whatever-you-wanna-call-it elements to the island, but I suppose that to most shipwrecked people, they won't be as interested in finding out what that odd altar at the shore is and means as they would be in finding food, drinkable water and shelter.
