1. Could I have a character that had moved from England to America, perhaps in order to escape from Voldemort/The DE's once the war started?
2. Would it be okay to make a Parselmouth?
3. When you say snakes are okay as pets, what size snake are we talking? XD Like would a big 8ft+ python/boa be okay or would something smaller like a corn snake/ball python be more what you were after? I don't mind either way, just wanted to make sure what size snake was ok :P

:Uhh, hi there everyone. I'm really new to this kind of rp forum though no stranger to roleplay, I've been roleplaying for several years, since I was about 10/11 years old, and am now going to be turning 20 in about 3 months' time. I was recommended this site by a friend I knew from another site as a pretty good site for roleplaying on, so I figured I would give it a shot.
I'm currently stuck at home with a lot of health problems and don't have much else to do but roleplay, but unfortunately all my other roleplay partners aren't in the same position and are all so busy with work/school/etc. that they have hardly any time to roleplay anymore :'( So I'm hoping here I might be able to meet a few people that don't scare me to death (I have social anxiety problems too, as if I didn't have enough issues already!)
Anyway, I suppose that's enough background details about me, how about I say a little about my roleplay experiences and interests and such?
Um...I like to think I'm a pretty literate roleplayer, I try to post at least one paragraph/a few sentences per post but sometimes depending on the situation (especially where it's a conversation between to characters) I do find it difficult to post more than a few lines, but I still do my best to make sure it is something that my partner can work with. I do prefer 1x1 roleplays as I tend to get easily lost or panicked by roleplays between too many others and it's been a long long time since I've done anything but 1x1, but I am willing to give a maybe 3 or 4 person roleplay (at most! o: ) a try if it's wanted I guess :) I'm comfortable with both male and female characters, and don't mind playing either, though I have a specific character that I tend to always use for certain roleplays who is female, but I will play males and females if required.
I don't like modern-ish roleplays all that much, highschool ones especially I hate because quite frankly highschool was a terrible experience for me and was the reason I got into roleplay to get away from, so I'd rather not go back there, thanks xD I don't mind mature ((18+)content I suppose but I'd rather not go into super-extensive detail, if that makes sense when it comes to romantic acts, I've never participated in any of those kind of forums and it does make me uncomfortable to go into uber detail xD Gore/action/fighting doesn't bother me at all either, and I quite enjoy having action in my roleplays where I can. Romance I am also okay with but I don't necessarily like purely romance-centred stuff, I tend to prefer fantasy/action with the romance/interaction between characters added in. I'm comfortable with any FxF MxM or FxM pairings.
To wrap this up so I don't end up babbling on and on and on

Other Fantasy/Elves and dragons etc. based roleplays
Eragon (though I confess it has been a few years since I've read the series!)
