MIA for another week, pharmacy once again doesn't have my meds ready and without them I can barely function so from tomorrow onwards I'm gonna be away while I try and get it sorted

"I'll see what I can put together." Mel nodded, not wanting to leave him in pain, no-one deserved that. Heading across the room to what appeared to be some sort of work station for the healers, she rummaged through the supplies there as she searched for the appropriate herbs and then mixed them up together in the correct quantities to form a poultice that she could apply to the wound.
"Sit still." she warned softly as she peeled the bandages back gingerly. "This will hurt at first, but once they start to work you shouldn't feel much pain for a while."
The group of them all quickly ducked behind the fallen tree as a mountain troll came stomping past, two more of the dwarves ponies swinging back and forth (and squealing in fright) beneath its' great bulky arms. "He's got Myrtle and Minty!" Bilbo exclaimed, his lips pursing together as he made his mind up. He looked at the fae and the two dwarves and muttered quietly, though notably distressed by the thought. "I think they're going to eat them, we have to do something!" "Yes, yes." Kili nodded in agreement as he and Fili took the two stew bowls from the hobbit's hands. "You should. Mountain trolls are slow and stupid, and you're so small they'd never see you!"
"N--No--No!" Bilbo tried to protest but the dark haired dwarf went on nodding insistently as he tried to convince the halfling that it would be safe for him to go into the troll's campsite. "It's perfectly safe, we'll be right behind you!" he promised.
The twins seemed a little unsure about this suggestion, but they supposed they would have to go along. They couldn't expect Bilbo to do it on his own....or could they? Kili grinned slightly at the hobbit as that exact thought crossed his mind. "Well, actually, as our official burglar we thought you might like to take a look into it."
"Oh no, no!" Fili protested quickly, shaking his head. "Best not to worry him." in truth they didn't want to tell him because they were afraid of how he might react if he found out they had lost two of the ponies. "Actually, as our official burglar we thought you might like to take a look into it." Kili interjected, smiling faintly at Bilbo. He hoped the hobbit would agree, then maybe they could find them and get them back before Thorin even noticed they were gone.
(Oops I just realise I've accidentally skipped the Orcs part and gone straight to the trolls part...my bad...my brain isn't really working properly sorry :L) "We're supposed to be looking after the ponies." Kili began, swallowing the lump that had begun to form in his throat as he started worrying what Thorin would do if they didn't get this under control. "Only, we've encountered a small problem." Fili murmured as neither of the twins tore their gaze away from the remaining ponies.
"We had sixteen, now there's fourteen..." Kili finished slowly. Neither of them seemed particularly interested in the food.
"But uh, we've encountered a small problem." Fili cleared his throat awkwardly as they both still kept staring ahead at the ponies. "We had sixteen, and now there's only fourteen..." Kili finished, his voice quiet.
"Just over the hill there, lad." Balin pointed in the corresponding direction.
Meanwhile, Fili and Kili had both stood and were staring at the group of ponies in shock. They had turned away for only a few moments to peek back at the group, and when they had counted the ponies again, two were missing...They looked around the area but found no sign of the missing ponies, only trees which had been uprooted; whatever had taken them had been very large, indeed.
Fili and Kili were ordered to keep watch over the ponies, so the two dwarf brothers settled themselves in the nearby clearing where the horses were grazing and watched over them as Thorin asked, hoping someone would bring them a meal when it was ready.
The other dwarves all sat expectantly around the fire as Bofur and Bombur prepared the meal.
Bilbo cleared his throat uncomfortably as Thorin walked past him, feeling bad for asking about it at all since it clearly upset the dwarf prince very much.
(Well, there's not much left in this scene so do you just want to go to the bit with the trolls now?)
"Indeed." Thorin grunted, his tone stiff and warning Gandalf to drop the subject of Smaug now and not speak any more of it, or he would regret it. "Then we will keep our guard up." the dwarf answered gruffly, turning his back on the wizard, he stepped around Gandalf to help the other dwarves unpack their cooking supplies.
