MIA for another week, pharmacy once again doesn't have my meds ready and without them I can barely function so from tomorrow onwards I'm gonna be away while I try and get it sorted

"This is not something we can treat lightly." Gandalf was trying to explain to Saruman who sat across the table from him. "Trolls have come down from the mountains, Orcs have attacked us on the road!" "Hardly a prelude to war." Elrond raised his eyebrows sceptically.
"Mhm." Kili grunted in agreement as he puffed a breath of smoke out of his mouth. "Very nice."
"With or without our help, the dwarves will march on Erebor." Gandalf proclaimed to Elrond as he followed the elf lord along the path. "I do not believe that Thorin Oakenshield thinks he is answerable to anyone. Nor, for that matter, am I." the Grey wizard spoke firmly. "It is not me you must answer to." Elrond corrected him as they stopped in the place where he usually held meetings. On the balcony stood Lady Galadriel, as she turned to face them, she smiled and spoke softly to the wizard. "Mithrandir, Gwenwin în únodui (It has been a long time)."
Noting the change in his demeanour all of a sudden, she felt a weight of dread settle in her chest as it could only mean one thing. Whatever it had been was not good, and it had somehow involved his kin. Biting her lip, she reluctantly agreed not to speak word of it to anyone else. She had already lied to them once, keeping another secret seemed hardly difficult to her, especially if it would be so damaging to how her leader would react to their new guest.
"It's purely academic." Gandalf interjected quickly before either of the dwarves could say anything to give away their real intentions for the quest. "As you know, these types of artifacts sometimes contain...hidden text."
Raising his eyebrows, as if he were not entirely convinced it were the truth but had no choice but to believe the wizard's explanation, Elrond walked to the edge of the cliff which the small group stood on, where a crystal like table stood. "These are Cirth Ithil, Moon Runes. They can only be read by the light of the moon at the same day and time that they were written on." "Can you read them?" Thorin asked softly, almost holding his breath for fear that it was the wrong time. If they could not find out what those strange runes said they would never find the Hidden Door and retake Erebor from Smaug. "Fate is smiling on you, Master Oakenshield." answered the elf Lord mildly as he glanced sideways at the dwarves. "The same moon shines upon us tonight."
"You heard that, did you? Hm." Mel nodded again, knowing there was no use in trying to lie to him as he was clearly keener of hearing, and better in common sense, than that. Looking around them as if to judge who would be in earshot, if anyone, when she was satisfied that none would overhear the next question she leaned slightly closer to whisper. "I know it probably is not my place to ask, but how did you become injured? The others may believe our little story, but I cannot help but wonder on it myself."
Thorin nodded and held up the key which he wore on a cord around his neck, to show Gandalf that it was indeed still in his possession. "Yes, it is here."
"But it is, Gandalf!" insisted Radagast. "And it is not abandoned any longer either! I saw him, Gandalf, coming out of the darkness. A Necromancer...a sorcerer who can summon the Dead." the Brown wizard shuddered as he recounted his tale of the encounter with the wraith, who he had barely defended himself against, and the bats that had quickly followed it and chased him and his rabbits from the ancient ruins that had once belonged to the Elves of Thranduil's realm.
"Change the tune why don't you?" complained Dori eventually as the dwarves began to get tired of the Elven music. "I feel like I'm at a funeral!" "Can't say I fancy elf-maids myself," Kili was boasting to the other dwarves he sat with, which included his brother, Dwalin, Bofur and Dori. "That one over there's not bad though." the young dwarf grinned suggestively and nodded in the direction of the elf he had meant. "That's not an elf-maid." Dwalin had smirked at him, and Kili's face turned bright pink as the elf turned around to reveal that, as Dwalin had predicted, it was not a female elf. "Oh, very funny!" Kili grumbled, mortified with embarrassment.
"Guess so." Kili nodded his head as the twins watched the two wizards talk.
"I came to find you, Gandalf!" Radagast spoke frantically as he looked at the Grey wizard. "The Greenwood is sick! Nothing grows there anymore, at least nothing good! But if that was not the worst, it's the webs too! Spiders have infested the wood, Gandalf, Giant ones! Spawn of Ungoliant, or I'm not a wizard! I followed their trail, they came from Dol Guldur!"
"It is a long story, my friend." Gandalf spoke up to Elrond, quickly coming to Maleficent's defense. "One which we may not have the time for now. At least not at this very moment. We require your aid."
