MIA for another week, pharmacy once again doesn't have my meds ready and without them I can barely function so from tomorrow onwards I'm gonna be away while I try and get it sorted

Mel drew up short as they reached the border, firing one last arrow at an Orc in frustration. Now the Orcs had gotten away too. Thranduil would not be pleased to hear this news from them, she could only hope that the fae would keep her promise...and forgive her for shooting the dwarf. Now that she thought about it, it probably wasn't a smart thing to do without warning Maleficent of her intentions first, but it wasn't like she had had much time...sighing, she turned to head back and finish off the Orcs that had stayed behind that were still attacking the other elves, looking around worriedly for Legolas though she couldn't see her cousin anywhere.
Tauriel had joined the fight just as the dwarves had escaped down river, though her main focus was making sure she stayed close to Legolas. They always fought well together and looked out for each other. Seeing an orc archer aiming to shoot at him while his attention was distracted watching the dwarves, Tauriel quickly intercepted the arrow with one of her own, pulling her knives out she went to slit the creature's throat.
"Thorin, no!" Balin protested, grabbing Thorin's wrist as he went to hand the map over. It seemed there was still some animosity between the dwarves and their elven host, or at least Balin was just worried or unsure.
"Kili!" Fili shouted as he tried to warn his brother of the approaching arrow. Kili turned towards his brother's voice but wasn't sure what he was trying to tell him.
Growling under her breath, Mel fitted an arrow to her bowstring and shot an arrow in Kili's direction also, hoping the arrow she had fired would intercept the one fired by the Orc- if there was at least a chance he would only be hit by her arrow he would still be better off; she would have to apologise to the dwarf later, if she ever saw him again. It of course also meant that she would have to resign to the fact of giving up the dwarf prisoners, if Kili could get the gate open even the elves couldn't run fast enough to keep up with the current in the end.
"Aaahh!" Kili yelled in pain as an arrow embedded itself in his leg, collapsing onto his knees for a brief moment. He was lucky; Mel's arrow had knocked Bolg's off course and sent it flying into the undergrowth somewhere, hitting the dwarf in the leg instead. Pain still seared through the wound, and Kili clutched at the shaft, hissing through gritted teeth in pain. But he couldn't give up. The lever was right there, he could just reach it, if he just stretched up. Managing to grab it, he pulled as hard as he could, and the gates swung open, sending the barrels tumbling suddenly down river and into the rapids.
Staggering to his feet groggily, Kili jumped off the side, landing in his barrel again. The shaft of the arrow caught on the side of the barrel, snapping off and making the young dwarf yell out loud again.
"Get the gate!" Dwalin shouted. Kili looked up to see the lever which the elf guard had pulled to shut the gate just above him. Climbing out of his barrel, he hurried to run up the stairs to get to it, Dwalin managed to grab a weapon from an Orc and threw it to him.
"Kill them all!" Bolg ordered the Orcs in Black Speech. Mel quickly ducked down out of the way of an Orc's sword, kicking the creature in the stomach and sending it tumbling into the river, before shooting another that almost snuck up on Legolas while he was occupied with killing others. "Don't let the dwarves get away!" she shouted out.
Elrond took the group, which consisted of Gandalf, Thorin and Balin, up a rather long flight of stairs which led behind one of the waterfalls of the city. There, he walked until they came to an outcrop of rock that jutted out into the open air. On this ledge sat a large round pedestal, which looked to be made of a crystal of some sort. "Here we are." he announced, glancing back to Thorin he held his hand out expectantly for the map. "If you would hand me the map, Thorin."
(not entirely sure if Bilbo is coming with them or not right now, but he was there in the movie x'3)
Well you should have at least asked first, I might have had something that I wanted to do in it and besides, it's no fun if you just skip through all the bits with action in T_T
Mel quickly raced along the top, watching with a strangely neutral expression for a few moments before she called across to one of the elves further ahead. "Holo in ennyn!(shut the gate)" they weren't about to just let the dwarves escape, the deal with the fae didn't mean they would let the dwarves go.
The gates were shut and Thorin growled angrily as the barrels all bumped up against each other. The dwarves looked up, panicked as it looked like they would just be taken back into their cells. But they were all taken by surprise when the Orcs suddenly scaled the stone wall, and killed the elven guards who were about to take the dwarves back into their custody.
"Legolas!" Mel shouted in alarm as she sprang forward towards the orcs, it would seem the dwarves would have to wait. The gates were shut, they weren't going anywhere.
Elrond nodded and stood from his seat. "Indeed we should, however I would have master Oakenshield and any other companion of his with interest in it, to stay close by for the time being. The time will soon approach when I will need to read those runes on that map of his, then we can discuss the other matters at length."
"She has never been one to reveal her secrets so easily." Elrond smirked as Gandalf spoke of looking into it. "But if you think that you can get it out of her, then be my guest Mithrandir."
