Aria smacked her forehead with her palm and groaned softly at her own lack of foresight. Wild Space, of COURSE!
"Good thinking." she beamed across at him. "And call me a daredevil, but if we could find somewhere relatively close to the Sith homeworld's co-ordinates, it'd put us in a pretty good strategic position." she crossed her arms behind her head, following up with some further thoughts to clarify (just in case he thought she had some kind of crazy deathwish): "Cause, y'know, they have a ton of now unguarded archives over there we could look through for information on their tactics. And maybe a little bit of that old proverb 'the closer we are to danger, the further we are from harm'."
She stretched out lazily in the chair, her head now perched halfway down the backrest while her feet planted firmly on the floor to keep her from toppling out of the chair as she tried to work some of the tension out of her muscles. She snorted loudly with laughter at the thought of the Dark Council and the Jedi Masters forced to sit in a room together and actually TALK about things for once instead of dissolving into petty name calling and defamation of each others' characters.
"I dunno, I mean, I'm all for getting ice cream but it might be funny to sit on a viewing deck and watch them throw lightning at each other for a few hours until they figure out they've got no choice!"
It wasn't until they began talking about food that Aria realized exactly how hungry she was. She smirked in amusement, waving her hand dismissively as she protested:
"I practised a lot after the first time, I'll tell you about it some other time." before he could enquire any more, she waved him off as his stomach made another loud protest and hers decided it was about time to join in, too, just in case she hadn't heard it the first few times.
Aria felt a strange glow of warmth forming in her chest as Yerbol proclaimed, just as he was leaving, that he was glad they had stayed together and realized she was glad for the odd chain of events that had forced them to become friends, too.

It wasn't long after sharing a small meal between all of them (thankfully, Neta had a few staples-namely bread and nuts as they were easiest to keep fresh, though there was a bit of cheese as well which went down quite nicely-squirreled away, it turned out she hated ration packs just as much as they did) that Yerbol vanished back into the room they had rested in the day before after declaring he needed to sleep for a little while. Aria had remained in the main compartment with Neta for a while, though when a few hours had turned into nearly six she had insisted that the pilot go and check on the young Knight to make sure he hadn't gone into hibernation. She could have heard the redhead laughing from the other end of the galaxy. They'd decided not to bother him, and Aria had soon joined Yerbol to use the next few hours' travel time to get a bit of shut eye herself.

"You snore like an old man, too!" Aria crowed from the bunk above Yerbol's head, a wicked grin plastered from ear to ear as she rolled over to peer down at him over the metal framing. As he looked up to meet her gaze, he would be greeted with the pillow that had been under her head plopping down onto his face. "Put a shirt on, Neta's probably bringing us in to land by now."
She waited until he was out of the way before swinging her legs down to hop onto the ground so she wouldn't end up kicking him in the head and adding to his various aches and pains. She had tried not to stare too much, but the muscles in his torso were more well-toned than she had been expecting (guess he hadn't been lying about lifting weights a lot) and it was kind of hard for her NOT to take a quick look before they were hidden by his underclothes once again.
"You sleep like a Hutt, by the way. We could've been shot at again and you wouldn't have known." she added, strafing out of the door with another cackle before he could do anything to get back at her.

The Dathomirian paused mid-stride as she caught a glimpse of the Ubese waiting with their weapons at the ready in the next street. She ducked back into the alleyway she had emerged from, melting into the shadows to conceal herself as a familiar presence reached out to connect with her mind. She allowed him in, but didn't wait for him to speak first.
So, it looks like you were right after all, Roan. Her lips curled into a disdainful smirk. The rat wants us all dead.
He hasn't done a bad job of it so far. the other Sith Lord growled. There's four of us left, including Bracknell.
The Sith woman whistled quietly. You have to admit, he's efficient, for a slimeball. Roan didn't acknowledge the comment, instead adding, just as agitated:
You need to get out of sight, he'll be coming for us too.
Duly noted. she severed the link quickly, not wanting to take the risk that Bracknell would be monitoring her activity. He knew she had come to Coruscant to go over a potential new treaty deal with some of the Senators and if she wasn't careful he would find her sooner than she would have liked. Granted, they had suspected Bracknell for some time and so she and Roan were more prepared than the others, but they couldn't afford to take any chances. Roan was on his own until it was safer for them to move around in the open again.
Oh man, those convos are going to be hilarious xD anything along the lines of Roan, Bakarn, Satele (or ANY of the Jedi Masters tbh) and a few other Sith Lords and Aria and Bol having to mediate and make sure they don't kill each other before they have a solid plan worked out is going to be soooo much fun pahahaha
Three each sounds good yeah, gives a decent balance of power from both sides ;)

Sounds good to me! :)
Aria shook her head, still feeling numb as Neta moved past her and disappeared further into the ship to check on the young Padawans.
"This wasn't your fault, ...we're dealing with powerful people..." the pilot's words registered with her brain, but didn't really sink in as she moved in an almost mechanical fashion to collapse in the pilot's chair where Neta had been previously.
"Shit..." it was a callous exclamation, perhaps, but she was at a complete loss for how else to put words to that incapacitating shift in the Force. "I couldn't breathe...felt like someone was carving a hole in my chest. I thought my heart was gonna explode." She forced herself to try and think about this from the True Sith's point of view. Of course, it was a logical next step to deduce Korriban would be next as the center of the former Sith's training grounds. It would guarantee that most, if not all, of the other Force users other than the ones Aria, Yerbol and Neta managed to band together before the bombardments were out of the picture and couldn't interfere with their rebuilding process.

She nodded along with the Knight's suggestion for a little while, before her head dropped forward into her hands, a soft whimper escaping from between her pursed lips.
"My father's going to die! They'll track him down too, Bracknell's not going to let him live!" it was a foreign feeling for Aria, to be THIS worried about Roan's safety. The guy was a Sith Lord, after all. Not many people were brave OR powerful (or, perhaps in some cases, stupid) enough to tangle with one and live to tell the tale. But after what they had just witnessed, she was beginning to realise that this was entirely different. "He's too powerful a threat to be left undealt with, and not even those tomb beasts will be enough to stop them! Kark, Bol...they're going to kill him...they're going to kill them all..." she was fighting a rapidly growing panic now, desperately keeping the hyperventilating at bay as they tried to work together to come up with a strategy of how they were going to stop these people from doing this.

They could get to Korriban as fast as Neta's ship could carry them there, and hope that it was still intact when they dropped out of hyperspace. Rescue as many people there as they could, yes it was desperate and foolish, but what other option did they have? Cower, how had Yerbol said it at the outpost, in the shadows like rats until Bracknell or Soto finally caught up to them and added them to their kill tally? Aria gritted her teeth angrily as she looked up to meet her companion's gaze.
"Where, though?" she whispered, her voice hollow. "WHERE could we POSSIBLY rally a bunch of Force sensitives where Bracknell and Soto and their cohorts wouldn't find us? They're EVERYWHERE now, watching and waiting!" her hands clenched into fists as she continued:
"And that's not even acknowledging the fact that we'd be dumping people from previously opposing sides of a conflict together and asking them to play nice and help each other!" apparently Yerbol wasn't the only one with a rambling's worth of thoughts about the matter. "Do you think, for a SECOND, that the fact we could all be killed will make a difference to how your Masters would see my father, or he them?"

Then again, she reminded herself, the two of them had done it. A freak accident had forced them to set aside their differences and work together to survive. Who was to say this catastrophic genocide wouldn't be enough to do the same for the older, more stubborn Force users. As much as they might have hated one another, the looming threat of death hanging over their heads SHOULD be enough to keep some kind of mutual alliance, however tenuous, between the two groups so they could make a stand against these True Sith.
"...You're right, we have to try. Whatever it takes."
Hey, I won't be the one to complain XD Tbh I love stories that get all dark and gritty like this and completely mess with the black and white perceptions we tend to default to when it comes to 'the good guys' and 'the bad guys' and all that good stuff. They're always the best stories cause they make you actually THINK about stuff instead of just being all 'oh the good guys win yay!' xD

Also a thought I had a second ago, if we do go along the lines of having one or two of the Jedi Masters off Tython and able to be contacted and such....would they eventually have to join back up with Roan too for similar reasons? I mean yeah he's kind of a tyrant and all but he's pretty powerful and he could theoretically be helpful to them in one way or another (if for nothing else but as another meatshield against Bracknell later when they return to finish the True Sith Masters off for good, I totally haven't been planning a possible epic showdown between those two at all *whistles innocently* XD), once they get past the fact that he's gonna be pissed to high heaven that they didn't do as they were told of course XD
Thoughts/additions/subtractions welcome as always :3
This is possibly the most diabolical turn I have EVER taken with a Star Wars RP and I think I'm enjoying it a liiiiittleee too much pahaha *manic cackling*
Oh, good, phew! Glad it wasn't out of character for him at least ;)

*sits on edge of seat* Poor darlings, it will get better, I promise....before we make it all worse again *rubs hands together evilly* xD
Awesome, will whack mine up here too then, the few on the end will be the ones they pick up on Korriban XD (I also totally nerded out and picked out Spheres for Roan and Bracknell to be in charge of, don't laugh XD) Ages for Roan and Bracknell are also adjustable if necessary, but figured they should be slightly older than Soto (especially Roan since Ari's supposed to be 19/20-ish around about now and he would have had to be at LEAST 20-ish when she was born XD)

Lord Roan Saal-50(ish, but you know, Sith alchemy and all that cheating makes him LOOK younger XD) year old male. Human. Aria's father, (former) member of the Dark Council. Keeper of the Sphere of Biotic Science. Bracknell's sworn rival (I imagined that they have a bitter and 'hate-each-other's-guts' kind of thing going on haha) Deceased
Lord Varian Bracknell-44 year old male. Human. One of the True Sith Masters, (former) member of the Dark Council. Keeper of the Sphere of Military Offense. One of the spearheads for the True Sith's takeover in the known galaxy, influencial figure in the Galactic Senate and Korriban Academy, Roan's sworn rival.Deceased

Vano Zaa-24 year old female. Mirialan. Senior acolyte/Apprentice (couldn't find a better title for it, since she's not a Master or anything but more skilled and well-tutored than a lot of the acolytes. Kinda like Yuthura Ban, I guess? XD) at the Sith academy, Roan's Padawan/apprentice and one of his more trusted underlings. Has a kind of mothering/older sister thing going on with Aria.

Qanarr Thimu-16 year old female. Cathar. Acolyte/Padawan.Deceased
Takree Vyr-15 year old male. Togruta. Acolyte/Padawan.Deceased
Lord Cheriss Matare-46 year old female. Dathomirian (appearance more human than Zabrak). Also known as Darth Lash (partly for the lightwhip she chooses as her weapon in place of a saber, and partly for her tendency to throw her weight around in order to get her own way XD) (former) member of the Dark Council, Keeper of the Sphere of Laws and Justice. Has a tenuous 'alliance' with Roan, sided with him when he began to suspect Bracknell's loyalties were not to the Dark Council. Hiding out on Coruscant, will eventually join Ari and Bol in Wild Space when contact reaches her. One of the key members of the resistance's Council of Force sensitives, alongside Roan and the other more experienced Masters.
Master Ailel Spar-38 year old female-Human-Along with Matthew, one of the few surviving Jedi Masters after the True Sith's purge. Stationed on Ryloth to help the Jedi fight the Hutt cartel's slavery trade, will join Ari and Bol in Wild Space after recruiting starts. One of the key members of the resistance's Council of Force sensitives, alongside Roan and the other more experienced Masters.

Rhine Keesda-mid to late 20's female, Echani. Twin to Denali, soldier/mercenary. Met Aria, Yerbol and Voldon on Coruscant where Denali was working as a doctor and Rhine was protecting the medcenter where he worked from gang/Xiis attacks.
Featuring Jaime Murray as Rhine

Denali (Nali) Keesda-mid to late 20's male, Echani. Twin to Rhine, (combat) medic/doctor. Met Aria, Yerbol and Voldon on Coruscant when they wandered into his set up medcenter, helped to heal Yerbol after Illesia beat him up.
Featuring Jesse Rath as Nali

will be working on some basic stat/character sheets for some of these guys over the weekend to add them to my below post XD
If it's more organised you can also copy/paste these into your comment to keep them in one place if you want, I don't mind either way ;)
DUN DUN DUUUUUNNN

Did write a veeeeryy teeny tiny bit for Yerbol on the end there since I figured he wouldn't just be passively sitting or standing there after feeling an entire planet die, so hope that was okay! O.O

Our poor little Force-lings, I think they just need a big hug, now xD
Turret? Turret, right! That was doable.

Swallowing the lump that had formed in her throat, Aria took his reassurances on board and jerked her head in a nod, bolting through the hatch to the turret station. She had just settled into the high-backed seat when Neta screeched at her:
"THEY'VE GOT DUSTMAKERS! ARIA, BLAST THOSE SONS OF WHORES OUT OF THE SKY!" Oh, crap. The blips had just begun to appear on the little radar dial as the pilot spoke, Aria letting out another breath as she grasped hold of the trigger and yanked it back into the ready position. The Dustmaker engines squealed as they gained on the ship rapidly, Aria lined up the crosshairs of the turret's viewfinder, thumb poised on the button. Dustmakers were fast and deadly, but taking them out was easy if you knew how they worked. Their shielding systems were garbage, if you could hit the fuel tank or an engine before their torpedo turrets were properly armed, the things were toast. There were six of them, fanned out in attack formation and gaining rapidly.
"Whatever you're going to do JUST DO IT because these jackasses are RIGHT UP OUR EXHAUST PIPE!" Aria screamed back at them, squeezing the trigger and letting loose a barrage of quadlaser fire on the fighters as they tried to converge on the fleeing spacecraft. The first Dustmaker went screaming back down towards the planet in a thick cloud of black smoke and fire, careening into the next nearest one and knocking it off course in the process.

The two downed fighters ruined the formation for the other four as the pilots were forced into barrel rolls and/or corkscrews to avoid the flying engine parts from their downed squadmates. Hyperspace in twenty seconds. They were nearly clear. Yerbol emptied their exhaust ports under Neta's directions, the resulting smog making it just as hard for Aria to see anything as it was for the Dustmakers. All she needed to do was wait for one to get close enough... The fighters whirled chaotically past the turret as their pilots frantically scrambled to regain control of their haphazard crafts. Aria had to turn the turret so quickly in order to keep it in her sights that she hoped she wouldn't end up with whiplash. Rather whiplash than six feet under, though, of course! Another Dustmaker bailed out thanks to Aria's crackshot turret skills, the remaining three now in a complete state thanks to the exhaust fumes clogging up their targetting computers.
Two of them corkscrewed past one another and, unable to tell their squadron apart from the target craft in the chaos, blindly fired and emptied their entire torpedo cannisters on one another.
"HA! NOT SO NICE WHEN YOU'RE ON THE RECEIVING END OF THOSE TORPEDOS, IS IT? EAT THAT, YOU SLIMEBALLS!" Aria's own laughter joined Neta's as she lined up with the last of their pursuers and bid him a not-so-tearful farewell. "Six for six, Neta, let's get the frack outta here!"

Their elation at their narrow escape, however, was short-lived as a much bigger BOOM rumbled through the quadrant just as the hyperdrive kicked in. It took Aria about ten seconds to realise that the cloud of debris blasting outwards in the distance was EXACTLY where Tython had been moments earlier. The yawning gap that opened up in the Force as the entire planet's life energy winked out all at once was so heavy as it crashed down on her that it knocked Aria clean off her feet, sending her falling out into the hallway as she grabbed frantically for something, ANYTHING to hold onto to keep herself standing. Her fingers couldn't find purchase on the tightly-woven metallic panels and she dropped like a deadweight, shoulder connecting with the panellingas she went down. Aria had never felt anything like it before, the crippling sense of emptiness and for a moment she thought she would never shake it off and instead just curl up there and let the chasm swallow her up, too.
If it hadn't been for her bond to Yerbol and the sudden jolt of concern that it prompted her to feel, she might have. Aria managed to get her feet back underneath her enough to stumble back towards the cockpit, rebounding off more than a few of the turns and nearly tripping all over again before she finally got there. Neta was staring at Yerbol, both hands off the control cluster and planted firmly on the young Knight's shoulders to steady him. He was white as a sheet and looked about as sick as she felt.
Her voice didn't feel like her own as she choked out an explanation in response to the frantically bemused look the pilot shot in her direction.
"What the HELL was that?!"
"They...They just...BLEW UP the WHOLE KARKIN PLANET!"

_____________

Admiral Sulan stood on the bridge and watched grimly as the dust cleared. Tython was gone, all that was left were tiny powder particles and chunks of rock that floated lazily past their observation deck windows. The center of the once venerable Jedi Order, reduced to nothing more than ash. And with it, everything the Jedi, and perhaps too the Republic, had stood for. Stone-faced as ever, he banished any pangs of regret to the recesses of his mind, instead announcing in a firm tone:
"Mission accomplished, ladies and gentlemen! That's the end of that!" out of instinct, he turned towards the speaker even though he wouldn't be able to see the Imperial commander he was speaking to. "Kingsley, any word on that damn ship?"
Silence hung between them for a hair's breadth, before Kingsley's voice, clipped with frustration, answered:
"AWOL, Admiral Sulan. They toasted our fighters and then vanished, must be burning sky now."
Sulan's gaze flicked to Juno as he continued with their assigned directive. "Set our course for Korriban. If they ARE rogue Force sensitives, they're probably heading for that sector next, too. We'll head them off."
"And if we don't, sir?"
Kingsley interrupted with a retort of his own. "They can't get away from us for frack sake! There's probably less than a dozen of them and thousands of us, they have NO chance! We'll find them, if it's the last thing we do."
Poor kids indeed, either being smothered with over protectiveness or berated for being too reckless, there shall be no middle ground *evil cackling* xD

Oooo excellent! Add away, I can't wait to give them a listen! :P
