@Slendy More like, the Council Members get along but don't necessarily agree with each other. It's highly doubtful that they'll actually rebel - besides, Meruin actually likes the school.
The pillars of fire and steel began changing. Arms and legs burst forth from them and a loud war cry that shook the soul echoed throughout the area. The earth shook violently as this occurred, and lighting crashed in protest to the wrecking of everything sacred.
Meruin inhaled and exhaled calmly. No interruptions so far. That was good. She was nearly tempted to smile.
As the spell neared its completion, the sky grew dark as her magic began wrecking havoc on the atmosphere - that was just a side-effect though. The real purpose was something else. Something much worse really.
Eight pillars made of magma and steel rose from the ground all around the area, each nearby a different team. They were thirty meters or so in length and half that in width. Slowly but surely limbs began to form, and a sleeping face emerged from withing each pillar.
Aw, it's kinda cute how you all assume that! Meruin's going to be attacking. Well, i'll be awaiting your reactions soon enough. Sixteen more posts to go~!
Remliel been in town for a few days now. Her family had sent her here early, to get her to adequately prepare for her prolonged stay. Just today she had finished buying all the neccessary thing she'd be needing, mostly clothes. According to the Academy, there would be a bus to pick the students up today.
"Is that it?" Remliel approached the bus and quckly confirmed with driver that it was the right one. With a cheeky grin, the short girl entered the bus, and took a seat close to the back. She set her bags down but kept her weights diassembled and on her lap. She took a look around and saw people entering. No one had noticed her yet.
Meruin frowned. "Oh, wait, there is a small problem. The spell that prevents any attacks from being effective also affects us, me included. So long as I use it, when I mean no one can attack, I mean that quite literally."
The small mage closed her eyes and looked about. She extended her conscioussness to everywhere around them. It was the start of the match and luckyily, no one had thought to conceal themselves yet, so she could sense their energies easily. Now, let's see if she can't make anyone squirm for a bit . . .
"Tony, Ryan and . . . Lucy, correct? I feel like I want to make things a little more interesting for everyone," said Meruin, the equivalent of a devilish smirk on her otherwise unexpressive face. "Guard me, just in case anyone approaches."
Meruin frowned and released all of them. "Yes, it does appear that it's begun. And hello there, Tony's sister."
She faced the three of them. "Let us continue our discussion," she said, completely unmindful of the fact that the contest had begun and they could be attacked at any time. "I do not wish to divulge too many of my secrets, however, I want you all to know that no matter what form of attack comes at us, we will not get harmed. No one in this school has the capacity to prevent my defensive spells from working, especially ones from my Grimoire."
The small mage stated this with utter confidence that was unlike her. It seemed she really believed what she said.
Appearance: Standing at exactly 143.5 centimeters in height, Remliel's figure is both shorter and contrastingly a bit fuller than the majority of girls her age, something she is very much conscious of and hides (although mostly for convenience rather than embarrassment) She has black hair that is long enough to reach a bit past her shoulders, where it is tied into a tight ponytail with a white ribbon. Remliel has carnelian red eyes and long, thing eyebrows. Her facial appearance asides, Remliel frequently wears long clothes to conceal her extremely muscular body. In a sense, her body is immensely beautiful to look at, but not in a sensual way - because of how she has trained and built her body, looking at her bared is similar to looking at a mountain; sturdy and majestic.
Personality: She is an energetic, wild girl that gives a hundred percent in whatever she does - sometimes she even goes above that. Remliel is blunt and straightforward and is utterly terrible at even trying to be subtle. Remliel, her goals aside, is a person who enjoys the simpler things in life. She dislikes being idle and similarly dislikes other people who are being lazy. She especially hates it if someone looks down on her. Remliel is a confident and passionate person with a very aggressive personality, and is also ultimately a very selfish person.

Remliel was born into a clan of mages. Her clan is a very big and very prominent one; naturally, children born from the main house are born with a lot of expectations. As the fifth child of the main branch head, Remliel naturally inherited those expectations - one of which was to be naturally proficient in the clans signature magic: Soul Magic. Her clan specialized in manipulating the soul, among other things.
When Remliel was four, however, tests were preformed and it became evident that she possessed no talent whatsoever in the field of magic. She couldn't cast an enchantment to save her life, never mind learning her clans extremely complex magics. Despite encouragement from her siblings and parents, she became an instant outcast from the clan. Labelled a failure who would be unable to achieve anything, Remliel was constantly assaulted by criticism from all sides, especially criticism from branch families.
Despite this, Remliel desperately tried to prove them wrong, not only to stop them from going at her, but also to prove to herself that she was not as useless as she said. Sadly, the only thing she was really good at was physical Reinforcement - a basic technique that helped you learn control asides strengthening you body, but ultimately tossed away for better spells. Still it was something she could do at least. So for the next coming years, she focused and poured everything into the one thing she was capable of: Strengthening her body. She would show the clan that there were other ways to become a powerful asset in battle, even if she couldn't utilize the high-end powerful spells they could.
In that time, Remliel discovered a secret to her ability, and realized that there was something more to what she could do. She has kept that as a closely guarded secret up until now.
Remliel was sent to Merlinus Academy both to further her education, and to get her away from the clan. She is extremely thankful for both.
