Desmond Mores

Interactions: Rear Team

So far so good, Desmond thought as they entered the Ruined City. He has never been to this place before, and while he liked to explore when he was younger. It never entirely went away, but this city was different than the one he was raised in. Maybe it is the earthquake that leveled the place, or maybe it was the Lost that inhabit the abandoned city. Or maybe it was the unnatural spires that protrude out of the ground. Perhaps it was all three since when did earthquakes create spires? Desmond has a bad feeling about this place, and it reeks of death. Something that only he and maybe Lysandra could taste it in the wind.

Either way, they have a reason to be in this place, and if everything goes right. It would be an easy quick in and out and based on Lysandra's calculations. That a Lost patrol would come by here but, not for half an hour. So plenty of time to avoid them, and he is used to avoiding Lost when he could while on scavenge run. Well, he is going to see if Lysandra's calculations proved true or not since, in his experience, Lost tend to surprise people when it comes with trying to predict them.

Then the front team stopped in their tracks and ordered the rest to stop. Well, there goes that, he thought, and Desmond readied himself for a fight. Unslinging his rifle and Poppy sprang into action first fellow by the rest of the front team. That was when Desmond spotted more Lost that was coming from a multi-leveled parking garage and moving in the space between both teams. "No," Saying it under his breath. "They are trying to cut us off." Taking aim at the incoming thralls and started firing away. Taking careful shots to make the most of the ammo he has. Taking down some of the thralls down, but there was still more and with two infernals coming with them. And it makes things worse for the Rear team. One of the infernals was using a shield to protect himself. "Just our lucky day," Desmond said while gritting his teeth.

Desmond not even trying to shoot the shield, thinking that his bullets could not penetrate the shield and waste the ammo. So he switched to his glave as the thralls and infernals got closer. Sticking close to Lysandra to guard her since he is in drone mode. He turned his head to look at the others in Rear Team. "Ajax, Vincent, Dallas, I could use some help over here guys!" Before turning his vision back to the incoming Lost and prepared to strike when they got into reach with his glaive.

Interactions: Everyone in the Strategy Room

"Then we should be heading out soon then, Desmond replied as he picked up the small crate and moved it to the van. At least he can do something around here he thought and moved the rest of the small crates to the van. Once he was done and hearing about having to head back to the strategy room. He walked to the strategy room and was the last to arrive. He guessed he took longer to move those crates than he thought and it better not turn into a habit of being last to arrive. Either way, Desmond took his spot near the back of the crowd. Realizing that based on Vincent's eagerness to get out there that they were waiting on him. Speaking up, "well I am here now so everyone is here. So when are we leaving to get this mistle or is that more to talk about?"

Interactions with Vincent and anyone in storage

As Desmond came back to the strategy room and passing several people on the way there and stopped briefly to say hi to Ionna."Hey Ionna and thanks," noting Dallas's invitation to help with loading supplies. Saying nothing at first as he thought about what Ionna told him. Though it was comforting that this group he is with seems to care about him and his sister. Desmond did not know what to expect when he brought his sister with him to this place. He seemed to have made the right choice with this group though he is not sure if this group will ever compare to his old group back home. Well, what was a home for him and Desmond started to feel sadness but forced it back. They are going on a mission, and he means to be focused. Not thinking of the past. So after a moment, he headed to the storage room.

And by the time he got there, which was a short time. It looked like most of the heavy lifting was done with. Based on inspecting the supplies van nearby, he probably should not be surprised. Revenants are stronger than humans, so they can carry heavier loads. Even Ionna is stronger than him, which just reminds him how weak he is in comparison to everyone else. Except for the Sidhe and Lysandra. But that did not really comfort him. Still, Desmond will do his part, and he is not afraid to fight. He has been surviving as a normal human for years, and he is not going to stop now.

Either way, Desmond elected to ask if there were any more supplies to be loaded up. "So Vincent, are there still supplies I can help with moving to the van?"
Mateo Secada

"Roger that Queen," Mateo replied and took a look around for an opening. He was hiding behind some boxes and scanning the scene. The rest of the group sure knows how to make an appearance as the AA was taken out. Seeing how active the Black Flag goons are, the scene looks like chaos. The perfect situation he can be in, and it should be easy to make his way to the server room. Just need an opening.

Though there is still the matter of dealing with the SPAAGs that Mateo has not dealt with yet. But, since those were made for anti-air and the rest of the team has landed safely. Then they seemed like less a target now, and they are only suitable for anti-air. They can't just start to now down infantry since they literally can't angle the guns down that low, and the rest of the team could finish them off once the server room is cleared. Which stopping Black Flag from getting the data they want and making sure they do not mess with the data in the server room takes priority.

So, Mateo made his choice, and once he saw an opening, he took it. Moving his cloaked self from cover to cover. Careful not to accidentally bump into an enemy soldier. Good thing they seemed more concerned about the rest of the team than to worry about a possible infiltrator. So after some time, Mateo reached the entrance to the server room. Only to find it being guarded by two soldiers. It makes sense that there would be someone to guard the entrance to the server room. Mateo thought as he took cover behind a wall. Looking down at his pistol, and now is the time to use it. So after taking aim, Mateo quickly shot both of the soldiers in the head. Both of them dropped to the ground, and Mateo thought that was it.

But, as he made sure no one noticed the dropped men and reached the door. He found that it was locked. "Of course, they locked it, must have done it when they were alerted to the noise of battle outside." Still, not a problem for him, and since most doors, these days have an electronic lock. Meaning he can hack it, and put his pistol away, and reached for his datapad on his left forearm. Activating it and used it to connect to the electronic door lock. "Bingo," he chirped once that he could connect to the lock and started to hack the door. It did not take long to unlock it, and the Black Flag inside are bound to noticed soon that the door is unlocked.

Entering the room, and before he went further inside, he reported back to Queen. "Queen, this is Jaguar, I am in the server room, and the door is open for you and the others to enter and waiting for you here, over." So with that, he chose to guard the door and make sure it says open. Hopefully, Queen and the rest come soon, and he got out his HDaewoo Telecom K7. Feeling it was the time for it and for now. He awaits the rest of the team.
Karim Nazeri

Things have gotten very interesting for Karim. Well, the world has gotten more interesting, for the worst. Here he is in the honor guard of King Horik after finding out that Revidia has betrayed the Eskandish and is now marching towards war. With King Horik vowing that blood with be spilled for this.

It is something escorting a king that he does not follow but is inclined to do this since Eskand is allied with his home nation. So Karim feels like he has to do this, and does this mean that his countrymen are going to war also? In defense of their ally of Eskand? He wonders how does his family feels about this and what they will do. They are just merchants, but even war affects trade and the fortunes of those caught in the middle.

They will think of something Karim hopes but still. He is just the son of a merchant and though a mage. He does not consider himself a warrior. He is more of a scholar, and he has not even considered having to fight. But, who knows what will happen.

Karim took a moment while riding his horse to look around, and he could see some familiar faces. But, as he looked at the king was when he heard the shot and Kejser Horik falling down from his horse. Then some more would be fallen and for the moment. He was still alive and with the shouts of anger and alarm. Karim's heart beated even faster, this is it, an ambush. Quickly looking back at the king and it amazed him that not that Horik could duel wield two board swords. A gift given his size and strength. Then his speed as he ran towards their attackers. It was truly a sight to see, but now it is his turn to act. While he wondered where that massive intake of energy was coming from. Was it from the king or the attackers?

Though feeling scared, Karim does not want to be a coward and simply hide while the others fight. So after a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself and dismounted and joined the defenders. He is still scared, but, again, he is no coward, and he will fight. Now time to see if this will be his last day.

Desmond Mores

While the meeting was going on, Desmond had quietly walked into the strategy room, not making a fuss or saying anything. Just silent walking into the room and taking a spot against the wall. Leaning against it, his eyes diligently watching the group as the meeting went underway. So it is dying mistle located in the Ruined City, eh? Desmond thought to himself. Never been that before, and it would be nice to have more blood beads. Not for his sake, obviously, but for most of his teammates. Since he is not a fan of being forced to give regular blood donations when he stayed with the Provisional government, at least they let him take Amelia with him when he joined this group.

That was when Desmond shifted his gaze to Lysandra. The only other human in the group. The main reason that he feels better about being this group of mainly Revenants. It helps to keep him a bit sane as he waits for his sister to wake up. If only he knew when the people at the Provisional government said that she will wake up eventually. But, it would be nice it is was going to be soon than later.

When the meeting was over, and he was given no order. Desmond briefly made himself known, "Sounds like a plan, and I will ready real soon. Just need to do one thing before we go, and it should not take long." Desmond said with a small smile and left the room.

Heading down the corridor and straight towards his room. Upon opening the door, Desmond went straight for his sister's bed. Which she was laid out carefully under the sheets. Desmond walked slowly towards her and kneed down to her level. Speaking so softly that no one outside of the room could hear him. "Hey Amelia, it is me, Desmond. Just here to say I am going to go on a mission today. To a place called the Ruined City, and I should be back soon, okay?" Not excepting a response but wishes for one. "So I may not be around when you wake up, so I am going to leave this note nearby so when you wake up. You know what has happened and hope you do not wander off where I can not find you."Desmond takes the note that was resting at the nearby bookcase and places it on the nightstand. "Wish me luck, sister, and goodbye for now." Desmond stood back up and as he turned to leave his room. He took one last look at his sleeping sister before leaving the room.

Now making a sad sigh before heading to the armory to get his gear. Hopefully, when she wakes up, it will be when he is here and not out during a mission or something. Either way, time to focus on the mission and traveling to the Ruined City. "Hmmm, maybe I should see if Dallas, Vincent, and Ionna want some extra help with getting things ready." Thinking out loud, so once he got his gear, he headed back to the strategy room to see if he could lead a hand. It is the least he can do with pulling his weight around here.
Every Rogue Trader needs to have proper combat teams just in case, I don't see any reason why a guardsman would be an issue unless of course their former employer is a little salty.

I was thinking they died and he had nowhere else to go since I do not know what happens to the team of a Inquisitor when the Inquisitor dies. Might be bad.

Kinda interested, would probably play a former guardsmen. Though I have a idea, of one guardmen who might had been formerly apart of a Inquisitor's team.
