BACKGROUND: The son of Malaysian immigrants, Issac was always the child his parents did not expect. While they wanted their son to be well of and have a good job like a lawyer or doctor. Issac had other plans, for his interests did not in knowing laws or fixing people. But something he is good at cooking. A talent he discovered in his teens and developed a passion for. His parents were mixed about at first but slowly came around. However, it took some convincing on his part for years before they saw his talent.

Things were looking good for Issac, and he managed to get into Drexel University in Pennsylvania. Doing well and earning some on-site experience and by the time he graduated. He was able to get a cooking job at a major restaurant. But before he would start there, Issac went on a much-needed vacation while visiting a friend in Virginia Beach and was relaxing when zombies appeared and caused the end of the world.

Up up to a month ago, Issac survived with his friend until said friend got bitten while they were trapped by a horde. Knowing he would turn into a zombie, Issac's friend elected to stay behind and cause a distraction that while it would get him killed. He was already dead, and it would mean that Issac could escape. So after a final goodbye, the two partnered ways, and he tried not to hear his friend's final screams of pain as the zombies got to him.

Now, on his own. Issac just tries to survive and is hoping to find a safe place to live in and maybe find someone that is not dead or hostile.

Who are you?

Alexander looks like a normal human at a glance. 5'9, black hair, and an above average build. Something a bit odd for an engineer like him. His most striking feature is his eyes. Him being born with heterochromia, and his left eye is blue and his right eye orange. Making him stand out and be noticeable. Along with a scar on his neck that he tends to keep hidden. Otherwise, he is just a normal human. Wearing casual but tech-ish clothes and tends to have a pair of goggles on his person that he sometimes wears. Along with a high-tech bracer with a holographic display that he wears on his right forearm that serves as a high-tech scanner, comm device, computer, and watch. His personal creation that he always upgrades with new stuff when he can.

Alexander is a bit of an eccentric, sometimes doing things that do not make sense to others at first, and can be passionate about the things he works on. Though he can be stubborn and persistent with what he wants. Still, most see Alexander as just a passionate tech head that is able to work with others fairly easily, and that easily confuses people sometimes.

Along with being a secretive person of late because of a project he is working on and does not want people to know about what exactly he is working on. Mainly due to what the project is and is wary of imperials and people from the megacorp, Larutan Technologies. To the crew, he says it is just a pet project of his. Also, despite being an engineer and used to technology. He feels uneasy about getting certain implants or cybernetics. Mainly those that deal with the brain and refuses to talk about the subject to others.

What do you bring to the table?

Alexander is a skilled engineer whose expertise varies from general tech making to gadgets, power armor, AIs, and ships. Though making AIs is a new field and still has some learning to do. Either way, his good at repairing and maintaining what tech he knows and can be relied upon to do his job. As long as he has the parts to do his job, that is. Also, despite his tech aptitude, Alexander is a horrible hacker, and if needed to hack something, he relies on a specifically created program to do the hacking for him.

After leaving Larutan Technologies, Alexander has started to learn how to defend himself if a conflict arises. Mainly with learning how to shoot a blaster and is a good shot with a plasma pistol. Along is surprisingly good at making cocktails and tends to have some custom ones that came up with in his spare time.

What's your problem?

Everything was going well for Alexander, the son of a famous engineer and like father-like son. Alexander had proved to have the same skill with technology as his father and had already created some things when he was young. Though Alexander, unlike his father who stayed with a single company. Alexander was more independent and worked as a freelance engineer instead. Offering his services to those that wanted them, but he was rather picky about which contacts he went with. Not wanting to work with a shady company or one he was against. The last company he worked with was Larutan Technologies, and working there was a turning point for him.

Now Alexander was offered by Larutan Technologies to help with a project of theirs. A project that dealt with an experimental project, and Alexander curious as to what the thing was and not having any problems working with the megacorp. So he accepted and soon found out the experimental product was an AI codenamed Eva. Made with experimental technology, she was set to be the next stage of AIs. By the time she was finished, Alexander was chosen to be her trainer, and the two soon developed a rapport with each other.

Then one day and the details are still messy, but Eva was stolen from Larutan Technologies, and Alexander was deadset on finding her. It took six months to find her, but when she was brought back to Larutan Technologies. She was in pieces, literally. Whoever stole her for some reason tore her apart, and Eva was rendered into multiple pieces of code and personalities. Because of the way she has broken apart, Larutan Technologies deemed that she was not worth it to try and repair her. So they opted to destroy her and started fresh. Something that Alexander was against and secretly stole Eva and sent out to her repair her.

Even though Eva was written off an unrepairable product, they still did not like someone stealing from them. So Alexander departed into the Outworlds after it was discovered it was him that stole the Eva. Now he finds himself as an engineer for a ship and spends what spare time he has repairing Eva. Hoping one day to piece her back together and to speak to her once again.

Life in the crew

Alexander is the engineer of the Guernica, assigned to keeping the ship together. It was a chance encounter with the captain of the Guernica that allowed him to work on the ship and allow him to work on his project. Alexander has been apart of the crew for about three months.

Personality: Despite the trauma Ealric experienced during his life, being forced from his home and the deaths of most he knew. He is an optimist and thinks that things will always get better. If it does not, then he makes it happen the best he can. Still, he is one not to really talk about his past unless asked, and even then. You are only getting basic info from him. Mainly due to the possible treatment, he might get if people knew about his family's exile. Plus living with someone with their own secrets and that most think is dead and wants to keep it that way. Either way, with his skills, Ealric is one that likes to help people. Especially those that have been through alot.

Biography: Ealric's family was dealt a bad hand when he was ten. His family was once a noble family from Osprey that was exiled from Osprey after it was revealed they committed several heinous crimes. Now his parents were adamant that they were innocent, and they were framed. But with little support and with little evidence of their innocence. The die was cast, and Ealric's family was forced out, stripped of their titles and lands, and exiled from Osprey.

Now destitute, Ealric and his family wandered the land with what money they had. Eventually, they ended up joining a small caravan. His parents worked as guards while Ealric and his siblings were allowed to live in the caravan. For four years, they lived with the caravan, and the times with them were good. Ealric and his family did well with the caravan and became friends with the people they were traveling with.

until one day, the caravan was attacked by monsters, and Ealric and his siblings could only watch as their parents and others were cut down. Most of the caravan was killed, and it was only with the unexpected help from a passing stranger that Ealric and his siblings were saved. Fighting with magic in a way that he had never seen. The stranger a old Faye, was quick to get Ealric and his siblings to safety. Once safe, she introduced herself as Sevanne Vaigeux, and after learning about Ealric and his siblings' situation. She decided on raising the group and would settle in Sevanne's home in a remote part of Edren.

There Sevanne, who noticed Ealric's potential as a mage, and after some time together. She felt she could trust Ealric and his siblings. So she would reveal herself as a Red Mage. Ealric was surprised at the news. He knew somewhat about Red Mages from his parents' old library back at their old estate and thought the last Red Mage had died. It turns out, Sevanne was that same person he read about and is still very much alive made Ealric and his siblings not tell anyone about her status as a Red Mage and would only teach Ealric after doing so.

For eight years, Ealric trained as a Red Mage, and Sevanne was a good if strict teacher. It was only then after Ealric passed his final test, that Sevanne felt confident to proclaim him to be a Red Mage. Along with telling him not to tell people about her and just say that his teacher died years ago. A request that he agreed to, and would spend the next four years traveling around and helping people against the Blight. It was Leonhart VII's proclamation that Ealric answered the king's call. Going to the capital to see what exactly the king plans on doing to stop the Blight.

It is always a Yokai that either has a humanoid form or can shapeshift into a human form. A Kitsune, for example, is capable of producing a child with a human. These Half-Yokai vary in appearance and abilities depending on their Yokai parent and are either welcomed, tolerated, or hatred.

Yokai Lords

The Yokai Lords are the six strongest Yokai that have ascended to positions of great power and authority. They are both greatly respected and feared in the Yokai world and tend to be leaders of the Yokai. There can only be six Yokai Lords at a time, and who is a Yokai Lord has changed over the centuries, often when a Yokai is strong enough that they challenge a Yokai Lord to a battle over it. The winner is crowned Yokai Lord, and the loser is either killed or disgraced and becomes an outcast in the Yokai World.
