New Dawn of Civilizations

Civilization is the cornerstone of humanity, and without it, we would be nothing but primitive tribes living in wooden or stone huts. Though, starting as pockets in select parts of the world. Others would form and ensure that humanity advanced and would thrive into the coming ages as cities formed and grew. Giving way to nations and even despite the thousands of wars and deaths. Civilization continued on and has advanced to what we know today.

But what if the civilizations that would develop, like the Egyptians or the people of Mesopotamia, changed, and instead of them, new civilizations would form in their place? A new dawn for the world as we know it and it would happen far in the past.

That is where you come in, as you and others in the present for some unknown reason. Have been spent back in time to 2700 B.C. in different areas of the world as immortals. An Author and these Authors would, after getting their bearings and settling in. They would, with their knowledge, take charge and forge their own civilizations and change history for better or worse.

What civilization would you make if you had the chance? Time to find out.

Overview

Hello and welcome to the rp. So in this rp, you will be playing as an Author or a term for an immortal. So, I should say three things before I continue.

One, this idea is not mine but an old idea on another rp site I am on, and based on the latest version of it that got traction and I wondered if the idea would interest people here.

Two, this rp is largely sandbox, and you will be rping by yourself for the most part. Unless you choose to start somewhere near people or start with someone. Though I will give events for people sometimes, and there will be npc nations that will spring up. Just keep that in mind when making a cs since, again, you will be rping by yourself for the most part.

The third thing is that in the original idea for this rp, you are expected to play yourself or a character close to yourself. Now, while I like that aspect, I understand why people would not, so instead of forcing it. I will give people an option to make a custom character or play themselves if they desire. Which if you do choose to play yourself, you do not have to put up your own picture of your face or put up your real name or anything like that. Since I never did in these rps, and when I mean play yourself, I mean personality-wise and what you personally know. So you can change details as long as you keep what skills and knowledge you know along with your personality.

Now, with that out of the way and those still interested in the rp, here are some things.

So, how your character is sent into the past is this. They go to bed, and when they wake up, it is in the past with nothing. I mean nothing, your character is completely naked and has nothing tied to the present except for their memory. Which if your character goes the playing myself route, then your character only knows what you know. If you do not know it, then they do not know it. Also, there will be greater scrutiny if I see a character that seems unusual or perfect to be sent to the past.

Also, for how the rp will work pacing wise. The rp will be divided into five-year long periods that are followed by a ten-year skip. So you can post what you want up to the fifth year mark and once everyone is caught up to the five year mark, then I will do a ten year time skip and then repeat. Now how long it takes to get to the five year mark is up to you.

Plus, you can start anywhere in the world. Just make sure you know about your starting location before picking. Like knowing the environment, what people would be there, and what resources you have access to.

Along with this, you are free to write the ancient people as you see fit, but remember. While the people of 2700 B.C are primitive, it does not mean they are stupid or act like idiots. They are as logical and reasonable as modern-day people and do not expect to become the leader of a group simply because you made a shovel and whatnot.

One last thing, when it comes to what your character skills are. You should not use anything that is too broad and you should clarify what their skill is. Like if you used historical knowledge as a skill, that would not work and is too broad. More so about the skills that would be too beneficial for a character to have unless your character would really know about one or two of them. The following skills are not allowed unless your character should really know it based on the cs. Historical knowledge, oration, charisma, leadership, military tactics.

That is it, and if anyone has any questions, then feel free to ask.

Elijah Tower

Northside
St Alexia’s Practice
Interacts: N/A

Well, goodbye, you three, and if we meet again, I hope it is under better circumstances." With that, Elijah left their company and left the clinic.

Today was still young, and yet it felt like he needs a day off after what happened. He just wanted a buttered croissant and ended up with a monster to fight. Elijah would like to know what exactly that thing was and what its last words meant. Was it a last attempt to strike fear in them, or was it a warning for what was to come?

Elijah let out a sigh as he walked back to his car. He wishes he somehow had access to something that could help him with this. If he still had access to the Watchers' library and resources. This would not be a problem, but he was alone and with little support.

He reached his car and annoyingly opened and closed the door as he got inside and hesitated to start it. He did say things would change today and maybe this is the extra kick he needs to do something he has been thinking about. Either joining a coven or doing the harder bit and starting his own group, bringing back the Watchers.

Elijah took a deep breath and leaned back in his seat, eyes closed. It has been a year, and he still misses them. They could have treated him poorly since he was a Blind turned One Eye Open, but they did not, and plus. His family treated him well even when he was the only non-adept in the family. But that means getting close to people again, and.... he does not want to lose more. Hell, he failed to save someone today and that was a random person. Could he...

"No," Elijah said to himself, and his eyes opened. Pushing the negative thoughts from his mind or now. He needs to think to really think, and if he does, bring back the Watchers and honor their memory. He needs a plan and he does not have one right now. So, Elijah was he started up his car and was going to focus on finishing his remaining tasks today and when he was done. Then, he will think of what to do next. Maybe even scout places that could be used as a base for the Watchers. There are plenty of rundown buildings in Southside that are still unclaimed by anyone.

So Elijah turned on the radio to his favorite station and drove away with a goal in mind. The only thing he can think of right now is if anymore stuff will happen to him today. He hopes not.

Warhammer 30K: The Returning Son

The Emperor of Mankind a mysterious figure who appeared one day on the old world of Terra and united it under his banner. From there, he would make an agreement with the Cult Mechanicum and secure their support for the Emperor's ambitions to create a human empire with Terra as its capital, and he would venture out to unite the shattered remnants of humanity.

But he was missing one important thing, his children, his Primarchs. Twenty superhuman individuals who were created from the Emperor's genes, his personal project that these individuals would aid him during the unification of humanity. Only for the ruinous powers of Chaos to ruin his plans and send his primarchs across space and to other worlds in the galaxy.

Despite this setback, the Emperor continued his plans, and once the empire was able to expand outside of the Sol system. Did the hunt for the missing primarchs begin, and one after one, the missing primarchs were discovered and returned to the imperial fold. All except for one that, despite searches, has yet to be found. Still, this did not stop the Emperor of Mankind from going forward with the Great Crusade and uniting humanity under the Emperor's rule.

Which, in the closing days of the Great Crusade, this was accomplished and now the Imperium of Man was officially the only voice of humanity in the galaxy. However, a question still remained. Where is the last primarch and why has they not been found yet? A question that their legion, the twentieth legion or otherwise known as the Star Raptors, are eager to find and unite with their missing primarch.

Still, with the Great Crusade coming to an end and a victory celebration to be held in the world of Talos. Rumors say that the Emperor plans on choosing one of the Primarchs to be the Warmaster. To most, it seems like a golden age under the Emperor of Mankind is at hand with humanity untied and with most threats to the Imperium vanquished at the moment. None would suspect the coming storm that would start with the sudden return of the last primarch and the chaos that would come with it.

Overview

Hello and welcome to the rp. So, in this rp, you will be playing as one of the original nineteen Primarchs who were spirited away by Chaos and ended up on a human world where they would grow up and later come into contact with the Imperium and the Emperor of Mankind. Joining them and after fighting in the Great Crusade. They are now expected to attend a victory celebration in the world of Talos celebrating the success of the Great Crusade, and this is where the rp will begin. The year is somewhere in the 31st Millennium.

Now you are free to make up what world and how your character was brought up, only that they had to join up with the Imperium and the Emperor of Mankind and become the leader of your space marine legion. Which you are free to make and customize to your liking. As long as it does not conflict with another, mainly in how your legion conducts warfare.

So, to say this now, while the spare marines will be male only, the Primarchs can be of either gender. Plus, while there will be a civil war like the Horus Heresy in the rp, I am going to have it that there will be a third option for players that may seek it where they can form into a third faction that opposes both the Emperor and Chaos. This may be a harder route to do, but players can do it if they wish. Though as long as not too many people go for it.

Also, since I am not a 40k-30k lore master, if anyone wishes to help me with the rp and be a co-gm than say something.

That is it, and if anyone has any questions, then feel free to ask.

Okay, and so I have made a discord, and the link is both on the ooc and here. Discord Link

Tell me if anything is broken or not working.
I have added the cs for primarchs and space marine legions to help people get a sense of what to expect when making their char and legion
Ethan Marsh

Monday April 14th, 13 Mourningdove Lane

"This better not be a mistake," Ethan worryingly said under his breath as the doors closed behind and he saw that the inside of the mansion was dark. Just his luck, an old creepy mansion is where this Archivist wants to meet him, or should he say them. Since he did see one other enter and who knows how many else.

As he walked, Ethan took a look at the decor and thought that this place was definitely old. Based on what was here, who would live in a place like this, and for how long? It felt like it was not lived in, and yet, with the flicking lights, it seemed the place still had power. "Make up your mind," Ethan annoyingly said out loud as the lights continued to flicker.

He sighed and went on his way, and eventually, hearing a door opening and closing nearby and went to investigate. Finding a closed door and hoping that there was nothing bad on the other side, he opened it and found himself in a salon-type room one might expect in a house like this, and he found he was not alone. A feeling that was both relieving and concerning as at least he does not have to deal with this Archivist alone if things go south but, he knows none of them and not sure if anyone of them are apart of this.

Ethan kept quiet as the others introduced themselves and spoke about their powers. Well, some spoke about their powers so far, when it was quiet, he spoke up."I am Ethan and my power is well.... I can see souls and whatnot." Then he wondered if he should demonstrate it, and he has not really used it much, and maybe he can use it here. It would certainly be a step up from dealing with the low light and without another thought. Ethan took a deep breath and closed his eyes and when he opened next, his brown eyes were now blue and had a dim glow to them.

Now, everything looked different, like he could see outlines of objects and the walls. But it was faint, with little color, but it was a step up from not being able to see well in the dark. But, the brightness he could see was from people's souls. They were of varying colors their souls and he did note some looked different than others. For reasons, he can only guess right now and when he can come across Burnie Cinders's soul. That really perplexed him as it was very different from the others but with a trace or some part of what looked like Lena's soul, and he would say without thinking, "Oh, that is what that looks like."

Ethan did not notice when Mathias stopped talking and started talking about someone watching them. Causing Ethan to look around with his soul sight still on and wonder who Mathias was talking to.
Desmond Wathen
The Eye of the Beholder Inn

Desmond listened to what Nesna said and her request and while he was nervous around her. The mundane talk of business helped Desmond to relax a bit, even in the presence of a blightborn like Nesna with her inhuman appearance. Plus, she knows psychic magic like him with that small action, he thought and made a mental note of that.

"Tea, eh, and yeah, I understand the sentiment," saying it in an understanding tone. "The thing is..., well is that I have not gotten a chance to set up shop because of that blizzard. Poor timing on my part, but I can try getting some through my contacts. Though, is there any tea you are looking for, in particular, that you would like Sya to try since I can get it for you?" She said she had shared blood as Lunarian, so what would a blightborn Lunarian want? Desmond thought as he started to think about teas found in the north.

"Hmmm," Desmond leaned back in his chair to think, and when he had tea in mind, he leaned back in and spoke in a friendly tone. "If not, then I would suggest some longred tea. It is a good tea that is reasonably priced and is not hard to get. A good introductory tea of the east, if I say it for myself unless you have something else in mind for Sya?"
