I will decide what season the rp will start but probably spring and not winter.

I will start the thread, but since only two people have shown interest, and only one around, that being you. I need to think if I want to start the rp with only me and you.

It will be a mix, for example some dinosaurs will have feathers while most will not.

Being a paleontologist is fine, so feel free to play as one.

So you want to be an explorer and an adventurer, eh? Well, I am sorry to say, but in this world of ours. There is not much many places left to explore you see. Unless you wish to explore the frozen and freezing Arctic, Antarctica, or the wide ocean. Then I am you may be saddened at your prospects.

Yes, it is unfortunate, but in our current age, everything that has been found has been explored and thoroughly. Which is most of the world at his point. So you may as well think about things and see what else you can do with your life.

But, I proposition for you if you are still interested in the exploration and adventuring life. For I am looking for volunteers for an expedition I am funding. For you see, I am aware of a forgotten piece of land that to most would deem a fake or forgery. A place that modern civilization has yet to explore, and is a place untouched by time. A place if the legends and my information is true, actually exists and is within reach of the expedition.

But you say, how could this place still be unexplored? For this forgotten land is nearly impossible to access due to several reasons. But I have found a way to access and travel to his forgotten land. By airship no less.

Now, a truly lost world is waiting for you. I am very eager to fund an expedition to explore and report back their findings. For you see, I am unable to lead this expedition. Old age and crippled by a disease I contacted in my youth.

Still, I have my wealth, and if you are willing to join my expedition to this lost world. Then follow the instructions in this letter, and I wish you luck with this endeavor. Hopefully, you can do what I cannot and see this untouched land for yourself.

Overview

Hello and welcome to the rp. So in this rp, you will be playing as members of an expedition sent out to explore a land either known as the Lost World or the Lost Continent. You can be whatever role you wish as long as it makes sense for them to be in the expedition.

Also, since this is a Steampunk rp, but still set in the real world and characters can be from real world nations. It means while you will have access to real world weapons and equipment. The rp is set in 1890. You can still have steampunk weapons and gear. More so since the expedition will be travelling to the Lost World by airship. Just keep it reasonable, and it will be fine.

Now, things to know about the Lost World or the Lost Continent, dinosaurs are a thing, and will be encountered along with other extinct animals. Plus, a lost civilization, nonhuman sentients, and more waiting to be discovered.

Also I am looking for a co-gm if anyone wants to fill the role.

Awakened: Become the Hunters

They have been waiting for you, someone special, someone with the gift. Someone who has been awakened. You have probably noticed it already. Visions while you slept, waking up with words on the wall, or feeling a great change while at work.

Regardless of how it happened or felt. You have been awakened, and now magic flows through your veins. A new cycle of Magi has begun. But while this should be a cause for celebration and fanfare. This means trouble for those like yourself. For the people who had been waiting for someone like you are predators. Those whose sole purpose is to kill Magi and suck their lifeforce and magic from their bodies. They look human While following some sort of grand plan for their kind. Which killing Magi is the key to that plan.

But do not fret or despair at this revelation, for there is hope. For that, the prey can become the hunter and stop these predators once and for all. Stopping their grand plan from completion. Ending the cycle of death and doom for those who can wield magic. It will not be easy and you will be weak at first as you grow into your power. But there is a reason why Magi come back, a grand destiny for you to fulfill, a purpose the predators seek to stop you from doing.

I have waited for this, for new Magi to be awakened.

Okay, so the rp is not full on fantasy, and humans are the only option. Other fantasy races like elves for example will not be encountered in the rp. The only changes to the world is that your chars are sent back in time and are authors.

And it is preferred to go with a society that existed in the past. Since making a new culture from scratch will be hard and depending where you land. Like an area where no one historically lived in. It will take too long to start a culture and you will lag behind everyone. It is best to start with a culture that has existed and go from there.

Is this sufficient, or do I need to add more?

William had not expected to see a fellow member of the Iron Fangs on the way to the Golden Wok. A face he knew, Alicia Tenebris, and she did not look like she was in a good mood. More so when she called him a dickhead to get his attention. Something he does not like, but William will let it slide since it is not that bad of a greeting compared to some others he has heard.

After listening to what she said and making sense, William spoke. "I feel, I guess I can accompany you in that case and... I have felt something now that you mention it, but I see no harm in seeing if things are okay. Just give me a minute to get my order." Maybe thinking about the anniversary has clouded his sense, he thought as he started walking to the Golden Wok. William did feel something, but it was not strong, and he is not sure how to feel about that. Either he is too concerned with the anniversary, or it is nothing.

Still, no harm in checking it out, but if Alice is right, then what could it be? Hopefully nothing bad, but who knows in a city like this? Especially at night, and it is coming closer with each minute. Alice is not a fool for wanting some backup, and William is fine with providing some. They are in the same pack after all, though he does not know much about her.

William quickly returned to Alice with his order in a bag. "Okay, now we can go, and I hope this will be a quick visit." So William started making his way to the hideout with Alice. Time to see if her instincts are right and if this visit is worth having some cold food. He thought with a hint of concern. He really hopes it is not.

Ven knew what he said was a risk, but one he felt he had to make with Sarah. He would give Raziel a reassuring look but, he still had his helmet on. "Our plan is to stop the Velcon invasion and save Earth from the empire. Everyone in this room knows how strong the empire is, but despite it. We, as the new Power Rangers, are committed to defending Earth and stopping the invasion." Ven took a minute to pause as he put his hand to his chest, as it still hurt, and went to focus on Sarah.

"Trust me, we know what we are in for, and the last Power Rangers were able to defeat a great evil that threatened this world. So I believe, as the Power Rangers, we can do the same, only against the Velcon Empire." Ven was putting his hand down from his chest and was tempted to take off his helmet, but still kept it on.

Now speaking in a serious yet reassuring tone, "but about your brother. Here is what I propose since you helped us against the empire today, and could help us more. We still have access to the last Power Rangers' base and information. If you agree to help us against the empire, even if it is temporary aid. We can help you find your brother and maybe find out what happened to the last Power Rangers in the process. If the two are connected."

Ven let out a long breath as he let Sarah think about this. "I know this is something you were not planning on, but I think that is the best course for both of us right now, mutual aid, and I will let you think about it."

Ven then lay back against the wall as Vivrynn finished looking at his chest. Glad that he did not touch anything, and it was good that it was not infected. But, it's time to see how Sarsh feels about helping the rangers and hoping that his risk pays off.

Camp Athens - Closed

"I guess that is good about not having to worry about exposure or anything." Leo awkwardly smiled back as Duke's comment about getting picked off and killed by beasts and gods made him wonder if that was a joke or not. Which Leo does not know what happened to the camp so far, other than that one fact that Sofia told him about one camper. Then again, there is a reason the camp is surrounded by a wall.

Still, Leo was both glad and concerned when Duke said that, while there are always things going on. Also, there was an attack a couple of months ago, and the camp has been recovering and rebuilding.

"Oh, I did not realize that things here could get... dangerous." Leo looked around for a moment, checking to see if anything was still damaged, and when he found none. He turned back to Duke, "that explains the wall and the fingerprint scanner at the front gate." Leo said as he was thinking that there has to be a reason to why Ares wanted him here if things can get dangerous here. Perhaps he thinks that the camp is still a safe place despite it, or it was a twisted way of making him a proper warrior by sending him here. The thought made him a bit angry, but he calmed himself down as he is here for his mother's sake, not Ares.

But the last words from Duke about his intentions and it was clear to Leo it was a threat. Leo tried to make sure that Duke knew that he is here not to cause trouble. Saying in a clear and sincere tone. "I am not here to cause trouble, Duke. The only reason I am here is because my mother thought I should be here, to be safe. But from what I do not know, and the last thing I want here is to add to the troubles of this camp."

Hopefully, the truth, Duke will believe, and while Leo does not wish to make things worse for the camp. More so after the place was attacked, and not knowing the casualties. Leo took a long breath in and out. Well, time to see what Duke thinks and Leo would rather not have an enemy on his first day of being here.

"Okay, Heath, and it is just a few questions." Sofia is trying not to overwhelm the Heath despite having several questions about camp, and she will be content with getting to know a few.

"First is, what do people do here anyway?" Sofia briefly looking around, "I saw a bunch of places and there does not seem much else to do outside of that."

Then came the second question, "Second question, has anything happened to camp that I should know of?" Just because of the fingerprint scanner at the front gate, is that a reason this place needs security?" Granted, she knows some of the stuff Hades has done, and that feels like a good reason. But, is there more to it?

Then, while Sofia seemed relaxed before, she seemed nervous with this last question. "Third and last question, because I have heard some things about camp before coming here....." Sofia was sure this would out her but, she wanted to know and what best why to do it then now then lie to people and people turn on her later.

"How are Hades's kids treated here if there are any here?" There she asked that question, and hopefully, Heath is nice about it. But, better find out now than later, and let it stew in her mind. If she is going to live here, then she should know how the rest of the campers felt about a Hades kid. At least she knows that Leo will be friendly with her.
