I apologize if I offended you with my comment by the way, I genuinely hope all players interact with the world as much as possible. It won't be fun if they don't! As for Spirits and Sand, do think hard how these two could be thematically tied. What would spirits in this setting be? How would they take form? What events would have to take place for the formation/birth of a spirit to take place? Will they all be born the moment your deity assumes the Domain of Spirits? These are just some questions, feel free to think on it deeper.
It is fine. Honestly, I like the combo and am not sure what else could tie in with spirits. Though nature spirits are a thing, and what kind is dependent on where they are and what they are. Like an elemental or river spirit. Going to think about that. Or how at least in the rp. Sand is the first thing we see and how my character seems to be made of it or of similar stuff. That the first or among the first creations of beings outside of the gods are spirits that my character makes.
Spirits in the setting would at first be simple beings made of energy, and as the rp goes on, and perhaps a physical or mortal world is created. Spirits would reflect what kind of environment they are in. They take form based on their surroundings or who made them. That is dependant on my character on what events take place to how they are made(still thinking about it.) When my character assumes the Domain of Spirits, some will, but not all, or it depends on if there is a mortal realm or anything when that happens,
I'm curious, why sand in particular? Is there a god concept you already have in mind? Maybe if you tell us what you want to play we can make a suggestion. (of course it's up to you)
It is a combo I like, and I had a character in mind. But I would have to change it a bit since we have an Earth and a Secrets God. Plus, how Sand and Earth was close to each other, I may just swap out Sand for something else.
@Theyra I remember you from other iterations of the Divinus roleplays. IIRC you liked playing loner gods that did their thing without interacting much with the other players. Do you think that you could be more involved this time, in this roleplay? Just curious.
In general the gender/sex of your god is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things because divine appearance is fluid, especially insofar as how they choose to appear to mortals, of all people. I would suggest that your main questions to yourself when creating a deity concept be this:
What do I want to create?
What do I want my deity to be known for?
Which domain pair is most thematically appropriate to what my deity is centered around, and will facilitate the best result possible for me from the get go?
I did rp with people, like in one iteration of the Divinus. I teamed up with someone to create humanity. So I can do that more if you wish.
Well, in that case, then a god of spirits. Since I would like to make a god that creates spirits and a spirit world. Since I never got the chance to do that in Divinus rps. So either a god of sand and spirits or a god of spirits and something else.
If you're looking for suggestions, then I guess we still don't have any life-giving gods, or any water, fire, light or artistic gods either for that matter.
All of this to say that there's a few niches to choose from.
I could do a god of light or a goddess of life since we have no female gods at the moment. I did have an idea for a god of sand, but I feel like, since we have god of earth, I should pick something else. That, and I am not sure if a god of twilight would work.
God Concept: With power over sand and spirits. Armos is the
(3-5 sentences): What kind of deity are you? What Domains call to you? Appearance: Describe your god's visual form. What marks them as divine? Are they humanoid, abstract, monstrous, beautiful? Limit character portraits to artistic depictions. No anime images or real life face-claims. Motivation: Why does your god exist? What do they want? What's their moral code (if any)? Roleplay Example: Post a brief scene (1-2 paragraphs long) showing how your god interacts with the world or another character. Let me see your writing style. Availability: How many times per week can you realistically post? Experience: Have you been a part of a play-by-post roleplay before? What did you like/dislike about it? This is more so for my curiosity than anything else, so feel free to ignore this if you don't want to say.

Arstus
God Concept: With power over the stars and light. Arstus is the embodiment of the light, either one found in the night sky or himself. Though it might seem like his focus is away from others, he does think about others and not forget about the mortals who see him as a protector and guide. While they are a tiny speck in the vastness of space. They are still important to him, and he spends time in the mortal realm. As his light gives them hope in the darkness.
Appearance: Arstus has several forms, but the one he prefers to use is one where he wears a white hooded robe with greenish grey accents. With a mask that covers his eyes and half of his face. But the rest of his body is visible, with purple skin and blue covering the edges and his hands and feet. Along with white markings on his body.
Motivation: Arstus exists not only to light up where there is nothing and to fill the canvas that is reality. But also to be a force against those who seek to crush the light. While he is eager to light up the universe from nothing and paint the stars. Creating constellations of mortals who he deems worthy to be remembered and making star-trails that help to guide those lost in the dark. He understands that there are ones out there who seek to snuff out the light in the universe. In this regard, Arstus becomes a force to defend the light in the universe. To his worshippers, he is a guardian who is willing to teach them how to use the light and to guide them by following the stars. To those who forsake the light, who consort with evil beings. He is a source of fear as his light will shine so bright that none will remain.
Roleplay Example: The man was old, near death, and alone. In his life, he was many things, a commoner, an adventurer, a rebel, and even a king. But now here he was, on his deathbed and in the middle of the night. Still awake, he started to feel the urge to close his eyes once again. A figure appeared in his room, a figure he did not recognize, a man in a white robe, and the man thought it was death itself coming to claim him. But, to his surprise, it was not, but someone who had taken an interest in the old man. After learning of the old man's tale.
A simple commoner who, despite the odds, had earned the title of a hero after killing a tyrannical king. Becoming a king himself in the tyrannical king's place, and proved to be the king his people needed. So when the robed man explained who he was, the god Arstus himself and that for his heroic deeds. He deemed the old man was worthy of being remembered in the stars, and so Arstus showed him his constellation in the night sky. The old man was speechless, but joyful. But he felt his death was close, and before he closed his eyes a final time. Arstus comforted the man and wished him a good afterlife.
So the old man finally died, and Arstus departed, disappearing in an explosion of light. Returning to the stars, where he gazed among the new constellation that joined the others. What mortal will be worthy of being among the stars, Arstus wondered, and went back to his duties.
Availability: I am mostly free during the week and weekend, but sometimes I can get busy or distracted.
Experience: I have been roleplaying by forum for years, and I feel like I am somewhat good at it. Though I could be underselling myself, but I enjoy it and try to improve when I can.
Space, the endless sea of stars of the night sky, has fascinated humanity since we gazed up at the stars. Ever curious what was out there and if humanity was alone in the universe. Which as humanity developed and as their attention shifted from the Earth to the stars. Starting with the colonization of the Moon in 2030 and later Mars in 2036. Did humanity find an answer to one age-old question.
For as the rest of the solar system was being colonized under the United Nations of Earth and ships were sent to explore and colonize Pluto. A crashed ship of alien origin was discovered. Estimated to be a thousand years old, and its discovery. Sparked a wave of excitement and drive to explore past the solar system.
The ship, while ancient, humanity was able to recover it and reverse engineer parts of the ship. Mainly, it's FTL Drive and led to the creation of the Argos FTL drive. Which enables ships to travel faster than light by entering a dimension called hyperspace. This started a wave of colonization as ships travelled and found habitable planets.
By 2180, humanity has expanded to twenty systems, and in order to properly manage these new systems. The United Nations of Earth reformed into the United Systems Federation or the USF. Starting a new age for humanity.
Under the USF in 2185, a new initiative was made to explore beyond the USF's borders and venture into deep space. Called the Pathfinder Initiative, under it, a new type of ship, the Pathfinder class cruiser, was built from scratch. Specifically designed for traveling in deep space for years at a time. After five years, the newly christened Arcadian was finally finished and would start her maiden voyage from the outer world of Kalos.
While the ship's mission is to explore and find other signs, and maybe make first contact with an alien race. The truth is that the crashed ship found on Pluto was only the beginning, and as the Arcadian explores the galaxy. The crew will discover that the galaxy is not what they thought it was, and something very bad has happened to the galaxy.
But whether or not the crew of the Arcadian can discover the truth of what has happened to the galaxy and survive where others have failed remains the question.

Overview
Hello and welcome to the rp. In this rp, you will be playing as the members of the exploration ship, the Arcadian. The first of the newly created Pathfinder class and sent out to explore space beyond the United Systems Federation's space. Unaware of what lies beyond Federation space. So, just some hints of what the crew of the Arcadian will find. The galaxy has been through a cataclysmic event that left ruin and destruction. So expect ruins, space wrecks, and possibly alien groups descended from the few survivors left after this cataclysmic event, and perhaps more. Which the crashed ship found on Pluto was just the start of trying to figure out what had happened to the galaxy.
Now, about the player characters, people will play roles listed in the roles list below. Which you would normally be the head of that department role unless you do not wish it. You can play a role I did not list if it makes sense for a new role to be on the ship. So when making a character, you can add lore to the rp as long as it does not contradict anything that I have written so far, and I am okay with it. Which any role not filled by a player will be filled by an npc unless someone later joins and takes on the role. For character pics, go for drawn pics.
Arcadian
The Arcadian is the first of the newly created Pathfinder-class deep space cruisers. Housing a max of 500 personnel. Including support teams and a platoon of 50 marines. The Pathfinder has a hangar that houses up to four shuttles/dropships. Which shuttle is the Ranger class shuttle that is capable of entering and leaving the atmosphere of a planet. The Arcadian has several amenities available to the crew during their journey among the stars. Like two mess halls, a medbay, an engine room, an engineering station, two movie theaters, two bars, a gym, a hydroponics bay, a bridge, sleeping quarters, a meeting room, a laboratory, a training room, an armory, and an observation room. Along with defences like five railgun turrets, missile launchers, and point defence turrets. Which the ships has a superconducting magnetic energy storage battery that is semi-connected to the fusion reactor. In order to power the ship's weapons.
United Systems Federation
The United Systems Federation was formed in 2180 by the reformation of Humanity's previous government, the United Nations of Earth. It was formed in 2060 after the events of World War 3, which while not a nuclear war. Still caused damage to the planet and convinced the victors that a united Earth was needed unless another World War caused more death and destruction to Earth.
Though a young nation, the United Systems Federation is stable and is prospering. Even sponsoring scientific and cultural projects. Along with establishing the Pathfinder Initiative, whose goal is to explore space beyond the Federation's boundaries, and is in high spirits about the mission.
Technology
The noteworthy technology in the settings is as follows. FTL, magnetic weapons(railgun, coilgun, etc...), AI but limited, power armor, artificial gravity, stasis pods, and fusion reactors.
Though the Arcadian has more advanced versions of known tech, and acts as a test bed for more advanced technologies. Like a more advanced Argos drive, AI-assisted surgery, and sensors that can detect potential turbulence and gravity wells while in hyperspace and can detect structures or wreckages in either space or on a planet.
"Well, honestly, I have been thinking about doing another adventure, and when I overheard your tale. I figured this would make a good adventure, considering what was found." Adventure, Markiel thought. That was one of the reasons why he came to this city, hoping to find another place to visit and gain a tale to tell people if he desired. It seemed that he found the right group for one if they accepted him, that is.
"But what I mean by a good fighter is that I know how to use and fight with a sword and shield." He gestured to his sword, seax, and his shield. "I am no novice, and I am no stranger to conflict." Markiel almost sighed there, not about his fighting skills, but he is indeed no stranger to conflict. He was raised in one, and that conflict he does not wish to see anytime soon.
"I can handle myself is what I am getting at, and I am an experienced traveler if that means anything to you." Markiel hoped that was enough and was willing to say more if needed. Hoping that this will not be a missed opportunity, and he can see this vault. But, it is up to Hagen, and now Markiel is waiting for his response.
