Rebirth: Saga of the Loyan

It has been many moons since we came to this land. Since we, the three tribes, the Loc, the Wya, and the Nlon united to face the Onom and were forced to flee our homeland from their wrath. We together could not beat them, and so we chose to flee across the Great Sea. Where the Onom could not reach us. For many moons, we travelled among the Great Sea, finding islands and realizing they could not house us all.

Still, we held on to hope and that the spirits could guide us to a new land. Some started to lose hope but we found a land greater than any island we had found. We had finally found our new home and after some time exploring this new land. We found a place we could settle and a village was built. Fresh water, plentiful food, and wood for our shelters. This land had it all.

Once the village was made, we organized a great celebration. The rebirth of our tribes, in which it was decided that the Loc, the Wya, and the Nlon would become one. The three tribes becoming the Loyan and it was a great night. Much joy and dance as we looked toward the future.

But, as we celebrate and live in this new land we call home. I have a fear, we still know barely anything about what lies here. Are we are alone, or are there other tribes that live here? Will they be peaceful or be like the Onom who made us flee our homeland? Our home is a mystery to us, and I fear what lives in this land.

For now, we eat, hunt, gather, and live. I watch the jungle, past the village, for any signs of trouble. If we are not alone here, then what lives here will show itself sooner or later. I pray to the spirits that we can truly call this land home and not a grave for our people.

@Theyra how is my updated post?

It is fine, no problems from me.
Hello and welcome to the Guild. I hope you find something you like here.
Aslan Calides

"Protector," Aslan said in a matter-of-fact way as he stood near the wolf and looked at Brigitte. "Tarak means protector, if you think a name like that fits." He realizes he probably should have said that sooner, but no one else has suggested a name for this wolf yet. Aslan figured he should fix that. "Unless you can think of something better." He turned back to the wolf, not waiting for an answer, and with friendly eyes. He reached his hand out, briefly, before resisting the urge to try to pet the animal and pull his hand back."Good wolf, Aslan said kindly to the wolf.

He always liked wolves and what they represented. An animal that can be misunderstood at times because of their predatory nature, but that is the thing with nature. It can be nice, or it can be cruel, but that is the way of things. Can not fight it, only respect it and live on.

Aslan sighed at the thought, old words of wisdom he learned long ago and words he respects to this day. He breathed deeply in memory of it as he turned his gaze to the unconscious prisoner. Still knocked out and should be for a while, given what Aslan has seen him withstand without dying. Someone should tie him up before he wakes up, he thought, and as he was going to suggest that. Nika called him and wished for him to see something. Aslan's eyes furrowed, "What is it?" What did Nika want him to see?

Curious, Aslan walked over, and when he approached. He glanced down at the silent knight's body with both confusion and silent anger as he examined the body. He was not expecting to see a southern and one with elf blood in him. Aslan could only assume that this man did not do this voluntarily, and someone had defiled this man to act as some mage's lackey. Aslan's blood boiled at the thought, but he managed to control his anger from bursting out. Seeing a countryman like this did not sit right with him. But he focused on figuring out what happened to this man that he could recognize.

His face glued to the silent knight's body as he tried to understand what he was seeing. "Is this..." He said in a hushed tone, seemingly not sure if what he was thinking was correct. "I... I think I heard of something like this. Rumors mainly, it is a variation of string magic, but..." Gears and cogs were moving rapidly in Aslan's head as he tried to think. His gaze focused on the body."All I can say for sure is that I have not seen this type of magic before, and it is definitely not common or not even close to being a well-known thing in the South. Something not many people would know about."

Aslan sighed heavily, another soul to avenge, and if the mages are willing to do this to some poor soul. Then what else are they willing to do? That revelation did nothing but make Aslan's drive to see more mages and maybe the Mage King dead. More so, one certain person. But for now, he will study this body and wait and see what the others think of it. Maybe someone here can shed more light on this than he can.
Nice to see interest.
That's a lot of interest. Usually it takes a few days to drum up people.

I'll see if I can work something in come either tomorrow or the next day. I have to close for work tomorrow so I won't be able to work anything in the afternoon.

You thinking of there being limited slots for this or no? Given the people interested.
Kedem Girma

"Roger that sir," Kedem replied and started making his way to where Juliet was gathering up as soon as the alarm rang out. A promotion, that is something if he does well this job. But, he chose not to think about it for now and focus on the task at hand. He cannot be team lead for a squad if he does poorly or worse.

Kedem was silent during the helicopter ride to the research facility. Focusing on the job and the flight was uneventful.

So when they arrived at the facility, Kedem remembered his training and followed Avery and the rest of Juliet. Quickly noticing the damaged doors. Showing that whatever had happened at the place, the thing that caused the lockdown was still inside. A good thing, but now they have to deal with it and stop it from escaping. It kinda reminded him of a job he did once back in Israel. A simple job and it went well. Granted, the company's security at that facility that hired them managed to soften up the target a bit before they were sent in. Maybe it will be the same here, but Kedem is not planning on that.

When it became time to breach, Kedem was bunched up at the door with his team and waited for the signal to move in. His first job, and now it is time to focus and lock in. Kedem was not nervous but as ready as he can be. Hoping that this is not a bad first job, but given the nature of his line of work. That is something he cannot guarantee, and so here goes nothing.
Zano Mirazdar

Zano took his time walking to where the others were. Admiring the sights and the scenery, it seems like another peaceful day in the capital of Mitteland. Zano, being unaware of the situation dealing with Carter as he has spent his days away from the airship. Figuring out what to do next for himself.

But, as he reached where he thinks the others are. After taking a good look around, he spotted two of them, Hamelin and Arkadios. The two seemed like they were talking about something. Should he..., interrupt them? Zano thought for a minute before he started walking towards the two. He has not seen much of the crew since landing, and screw it. Zano wants to speak to someone he knows, and they are probably not talking about anything important. Maybe about where the gold is going to, he thought. Unaware of the truth of the matter.

So as Zano approached the two, he spoke in a friendly manner. "Hello, Hamelin, hello Arkadios." Giving a small smile, "may I ask what you two are talking about? It is a nice day today."
Finally posted, so Gunther and not the best post since I was not sure of what to write, but it is up.

Four winters, so four years, and things have changed. For starters, I have finally caved to Luy's persistence, and we are now a couple. It is a strange thing that wherever I am, I now have someone I care for with me. I am not sure if I should be doing this, but it is too late now. Luy is a beautiful woman, and I am lucky to have her. She is also getting better at chess, she even beat me once. Along with the interested members of the tribe.

The rest of the tribe seems to be okay with this development, and I am glad it did not upset anyone. That is the last thing I wanted after spending this long with the tribe. But that fear was misplaced, and the tribe is content. A very good thing, and I am not marrying Luy yet and I am taking it nice and easy. I am not one to rush into things.

Though there have been other developments that Kun has been worried about, other tribes. Mainly the bigger ones, and while there have not been clashes yet. Kun has been asking me about what knowledge I have that could help the tribe. I thought long and hard, and while I can think of ideas for weapons to make. I do not know how to make them, like a crossbow, for example. Though I wonder how a mounted crossbow handles with nomadic people who have never used it. Still, I told him some ideas and even suggested an alliance with another tribe. Which he has been thinking about, and has ideas. Either the Lokon or the Toran tribes, or both, I suggested. I have to admit that I am not much one for politics, especially nomadic ones, but I will aid Kun to the best of my ability.

Kun decided to try to ally with the Lokon tribe and sent a messenger to arrange a meeting. I hope it goes well, and for now. I am figuring out what I can do to help the tribe if conflict does happen. I have many ideas, but focusing on the ones that are viable for nomads. I know some about nomads from history and kinda their tactics. I am not an expert on nomads, my focus was on Greeks and Romans.

Still, I have to do something and not just lie around. I care about this tribe and its people. So I will think and strategize with the more militant members of the tribe. I wonder how the tribe will take to metal armor and if the horses can handle that. Just some ideas, and with Luy at my side. I will try, maybe war may not happen, but it does not hurt to be prepared.
