Salem couldnt make heads or tails over Maxwells response. He appeared to be heading towards the dorms, but his attitude and body language stated he didnt want to be bothered. Unsure of what to do, seeing as how he was headed there anyways, Salem waited a few steps, thanked the two Senior Vampires, and then followed a few paces behind Maxwell, never once saying a word and instead opting to take in the silence for once in this busy day. The walk was long yet scenic, Salem took note of the local flora and fauna, and began to wonder if they were solely for display or if perhaps they could be for public use as well. Unsure of where he was heading, Salem pulled out his paper that stated his partner and dorm number as well. Maxwell didn't know it, but he was currently guiding Salem to the dorms for the first time, which was less awkward than Salem having to ask about until he inevitably got there.

Upon seeing the dorms in the distance, Salem made his way away from Maxwell finally speaking as he hurried past him "Have a good day! Hopefully I'll see you around more!" Salem slipped the key out from the envelope and opened the front door for the first time. Upon entering, there was a kitchen to the left with a small hall that opened into the combined dinner and living room. Salems eyes opened up as he noticed the dark wood table, expensive looking couch, flat screen television, two book cases, and a glass display case that could make for a great greenhouse. A sliding glass door opened out onto a small patio fully furnished which then opened out to a small fenced in backyard that looks out into the forest. The view of all the greenery brought a soft smile on Salems face as he took it in before deciding to explore more of the dorm. He found that there are two bedrooms, neither with windows, which made him happy that hed brought along extra equipment. Each had a luxury queen sized bed, small closet, a chest of drawers, a bookcase, and a desk. Each room had an attached bathroom. One however, was smaller than the other, one containing a tub and shower combination and the other only a shower with a glass door. Both have a small linen closet and dark wood cabinents as well as a toilet and sink.

Salem noticed his many trunks sitting about and he proceeded to move them into the room with the tub. Beginning to unload one that was marked 'FRAGILE, LIVING CREATURES', ofcourse almost every chest was marked FRAGILE, but none were wrong. He checked to ensure none of the holes were instructed and then opened up the lid, revealing a bed of leaves and a small brass cage. "Hey Cricket! Sorry it took me so long to get to you, I had orientation, and then lunch, then there was this duel! Oh and a run in with some seniors who mistook my situation for some thuggery. I'm fine though." Salem pulled the cage out and placed it on the desk, taking a few of the leaves from the trunk and putting them back into the cage where the cricket resided. As Salem continued to unpack, taking out numerous amount of flowers, plants, and other greenery along with lamps that mimic the suns UVs that plants need to grow, he continued to speak to his cricket "I met some interesting people today, there was a light mage named Aaron, he seemed sweet, although he kinda went missing on me...who knows what happened there...theres a water mage named Lilie, she looks like the moon itself, which if funny given her affinity. I wonder where she went off to as well...oh! Our new roommate is going to be a vampire named Lucan, hes...well...um...I'm not quite sure how to describe him yet. I'm sure we'll all get along just fine though! There! See cricket? Got this room all cozyed up in no time, it just needed a little plant life to brighten it up."

Crawling Ivys ran across the shower rod and the curtain was taken down. Plants that required humidity sat atop the bathroom counter, all the toiletries hidden away in the medicine cabinet, and soft green bath mats decorated the floor. In the room there were planters set above each doorway, with strip UV lights hanging above them and lining the room to cover most every plant that needed it. The cords were hidden amongst the greenery and all met up at several power strips that had times on when to start and stop the lights so that each plant followed a day night cycle as needed. One corner of Salems room was now just a stack of trunks, empty and waiting for use, while his closet and drawers were filled with clothing, jewelry, and tools of his trade. A small laugh escaped his lips as he looked at the room, pleased with his work, and turned to the brass cage once more "Cricket, I think this is going to be a good year."

"I appreciate it, really. Thank you, and Declan as well. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some living things to take care of before they expire in my trunks. I havent had the chance to unpack yet...well or even see my dorm." It wasnt till after the fact, that it had crossed Salems mind that he just told two vampires he had some living things to take care of. His posture quickly changed as his head looked downwards a bit, brushing his hair over his ear nervously as he attempted to move past the pair. He stopped short of Max, who seemed to be having issues with the flashy man in red known as Declan. Attempting to ease the tension, while offering Max an out Salem turned to him and simply said " Wanna walk with me back to the dorms? Wouldnt mind the company."

Salems eyes blinked twice, attempting to take in the words the two vampires were saying. Helping him was the last thing he believed them to be doing. Finally his shoulders relaxed, the vial was placed back into its holder, and his hand slipped out of his bag. Salem lifted that arm, placing his hand behind his head and scratching it nervously. A nervous chuckle escaped his lips as he began to speak "Injured? No,...not by him at least. Not physically either, its fine... I'm fine. Besides, I'm a medic myself so I'm not too worried about such things as that typically. Thank you two for checking up on me however. He was just checking up on the matches he missed, wondering what the mages battle was like, that's all."

As River watched the barrage of attacks slam against his allies, he noticed Kira taking a burnt of the damage. It appeared to him that the Wargs would only attack those the Trainer directed them to, unless the physically attacked the Trainer himself. He stood there for a mere second, running his guild mates abilities into his head for the best solution when finally "Ceclia, we will create an opening for you, get in, cleave and fight, then get out! You dont have the health for their mass numbers. Willow get ready to be boosted! You'll get an extra action in, I need you to pull Kira out of that mess as soon as you get that buff got it? And Kira when Ceclias done...give them hell!." River looked up at Pepper and nodded knowing shed know what to do.

The robes around River began to flap and flow as wind encircled around his feet. Healing energy gathering at the tip of his wand, before a brilliant beam of light shot out at Kira "Greater Healing Beam" Without wasting a moment River flicked his wand towards Willow, an orb of white light dashed towards her as small wings formed around her shoes ankles. "Quicken!" With that he waited for her to pull Kira away from the fray, nodded at Pepper once more and yelled out "Pepper Spray!" Pots flew high above the Goblin Wargs, just enough to have them in range of her cone AoE. Dark purple smoke began to billow out of her mouth as she finally opened it unleashed a breath of poison at all the Goblin Wargs now bunched together. Afterwards she flew back up and towards River. River watched impatiently as his cooldown finally came back up from use "Kira, time to give them hell! Show them what the Great Demon can do! Strengthen!"

Just as soon as Max began to speak, no sooner did two strangers approach them, interrupting their conversation. Two vampires stood to either side of Salem, both seeming to think there was a problem brewing between the two mages. As Max spoke to them, Salem could scarcely hear what he was saying. The blood began to pool to his ears as sounds softly faded into the background. He reached onto the seam of his pants pocket and began to fidget with it. Clenching and unchlenching his fist around the thin strip of fabric. Salems head began to pound slightly as his anxiety began to rise, hed never been in a situation where he was surrounded by vampires, let alone one with so many weapons visibly shown.

Salem had seen first hand the speed and power of a vampire, recalling Lucans fight in an unimaginable speed as well as the countless injured hed had to help from any deals that may lurk the slums. As his nerves grew he could feel it happening, a scent, a pheramone, beginning to release. A plant mages natural self defense mechanism. The scent permeated the air just as he heard Max say
"Yeah, there is a problem. People keep bothering me today." Max flicked his eyes toward the man."But I guess I can't really blame you, I was just leaving." The mages words sent a shiver through Salems spine, the idea of not only being left alone to these vampires devices, but also of how they may attempt to stop Max from leaving, it was enough to worry any same person. Salem slowly inched his hand into the small opening on the side of his bag, grasping the nearest blood vial to him, the one with a blacked out label.

Salem watched as the mage approached him, stopping before him as opposed to next. It appeared whoever this mage was, he didnt quite like to get too personal. "None by Aaron or Lillie. They both seemed to stay with their weapons and turn it into a physical spar as opposed to a magical one. If anything I did more 'magic' than the two combined this match. As for how the fight went..." Salem thought back to the moment Aaron changed and completely threw Lillie against the floor, setting in an odd feeling again. He snapped back towards the question at hand "...it was fine. Lucans match was incredibly unreal, and by comparison Aaron's fight was a tad...slower for the magicks I had implemented. That's not to say it wasnt a good fight though, the two traded hits until Aaron got the better of Lillie and won the match."

As Salem was gathering his belongings, the quiet mage from before stood before him, blocking his path. "I'm sure they just got caught up in something is all. Their partners may of had need of them for feeding." He began to casually look the mage up and down with his eyes, trying to find some reason for his sudden interest. "What brings you here? If it's the fights, well...you just missed them I'm sorry to say." Salem leaned against the barrier, nodding his head towards his right, motioning for Max to join him on it as he allowed for his bag the gently fall into place on the floor.

It was almost as if River was a different person, gone was the soft boy from earlier. Now faced with a trash mob ahead to clear, Rivers eyes became determined as a grin spread across his face. "Let's have some fun shall we?" River ran passed Willow as she moved backwards via her mind magic, stopping only shortly behind Tower and within 3 feet of Willow. His whip in his left hand and wand in his right, he swiftly lifted his arm towards the sky, arching it slightly as his wrist bent down at an angle. "Chain lightning!" he shouted as static began to form around him. The corners of his eyes sparked as jolts of electricity formed at the tip of the wand before crackling out towards his enemies. The main blast flew at the Gobline Warg Trainer, arcing out to the four nearby Goblin Wargs.
>>Energize Proc
The wand lit up again as the Energize passive was activated, shooting out another stream of lightning at the Goblin Warg and then his fellow three Goblin Wargs and Goblin Warg Trainer. River twirled in circle, wand pointed down at an angle as he began to cast Lightning Field and cancelled the spell activating his Recharge ability before pulling his elbow in to his side and then jutting it back out at the Goblin Warg Trainer "Plasma Burst!" A bright blue orb if plasma shot out of the wand in a rapid pace, creating a warbling noise as it crashed at its target. The explosion blew outwards hitting all nearby enemies as well.
>>Energize Proc
His grin grew wider as he was beginning to fall into his element, raising was always so exhilarating for him. As before the Energize passive was activated as a second burst of Plasma short from the wand at the Goblin Warg Trainer and then those enemies nearby. The static around River began to build as it crackled and snapped, his movements getting faster with each cast. "Tower! Take them off me! Totoro you're up buddy!" with his final movement River flicked his wand at Totoro casting Strengthen, giving him a +5 to strength for his upcoming bout.

-Stood 3 ft away from Willow
-Cast Chain Lightning -375 MP
-Energize Replicated Chain
-Cast and Canceled Lightning Field for Recharge +450 MP
-Cast Plasma Burst -75 MP
-Energize Replicated Plasma Burst
-Cast Strengthen on Totoro -25 MP

No one, hes a lonely boi

Salem watched as his two new acquaintances walked off to get ready for battle. It was a short while before the two finally made their appearance again, the arena fell silent as the two new students entered through the same door. Salems attentive eyes, now magically enhanced to better see movements, noticed Aaron's eyes as they wandered over to Lilie every once in a while. Poor Aaron, he must be really nervous to fight her...he keeps glancing at her. Maybe it's her weapon choice? Her agility could be throwing him off, or perhaps it's her clothing, which allows her to move more freely that his shirt and pants would... Through out their beginning, yet awkward, interactions, Salem kept his eyes peeled on the two waiting for their first move.

Unlike Lucans fight which seemed to be fast paced, which may of seemed like a blur to others, their fight was a bit slower seeing as how they're bot human. The literal change of pace made it easier to see every movement and motion each made, the slow, calculated, risks Lilie took against the slow unwavering defense of Aaron. Then suddenly...everything moved fast again, well normally paced, but it was jarring to see when Aaron's expression seemed to shift and a flurry of motions paraded around Lillie. Next thing Salem could see was her on the ground with Aaron's sword against her. He could hear a few gasps escape the crowd around him, while some muttered about "Will he actually kill her?"
"Theres no way theyd allow it" Salems heart stopped for a beat as he waited for what seemed like an eternity for Aaron to lift Lillie off the ground. A huge sigh of relief escaped him as he sat back into his seat seemingly out of breath.

Salem began to rummage into his bag and opened up a side pouch that was clasped shut. Inside was a jar with a dark thick liquid. He removed the lid and stuck the pad of his finger into the jar, gathering some of the viscous material on there before holding his finger up in the air while tightening the lid back on and placing it into the pouch. He closed his eyes and began to focus on the molasses while rubbing it between his pointer finger and thumb in a circular motion. To any avid observer, they would notice that the tattoos on his arms began to glow very faintly, unknown to Salem, he then licked off the molasses from his fingers and wiped them onto a hempen hankercheif in his pocket. When he opened his eyes, time moved at a normal pace again with all the jitteriness leaving his body as his eyes adjusted back to the speed at which things were. Salem sat there with one leg under the other, criss cross, waiting for Aaron and Lillie to return like theyd said they would.

Time passed by, the stadium began to clear, and Salem sat there alone; ushering on those who asked him if they should wait with him, remarking "No it's fine, my...friends...will be here soon. It's ok." Finally a stadium usher came up to him and shook his head, letting him know that the blonde mage and white haired girl had left a while ago and that he should too. A tad defeated Salem stood up, grabbed his bags and headed for his dorm.

River

A shit eating grin spread across Rivers face as Willow began to tell Tower to peel off the aggro from her. "Don't worry Willow, after you've gone in and debuffed the enemies, I'll follow suit with a wide array of AoE spells that will not only barrage our enemies, but also most likely pass the aggro off to me. Thats when you, Tower, use your AoE emnity peelers to RIP the aggro off of me and onto yourself. From that point I'll fall back with Willow and switch to healing. Ceclia, I will be hitting you with a Strengthen spell to help your damage output, seeing as you're the fastest one here I feel you can make the most use out of it. Don't hold back on letting those hits fly but also *avoid* AoEs or potentially telegraphed moves. We havent seen them yet, but it doesnt mean they dont exist."

River began to Fiddle with his wand, twirling it between his fingers for a moment before it vanished and was replaced with a long Ivory looking staff. Runic marks littered a small section on the front and led up towards the head of the staff that was carved to look like a stags majestic holding a jade stone orb between its antlers. The staffs end clung against the soft earth, making a gentle thudding noise. River looked towards his party, then Pepper, and smiled; "Looks like we can finally put this to the real test today girl. I haven't shown you guys this little wonder yet, it's why me and Pots here have been sneaking out into the fields. We've been training with, and practicing with this new staff I acquired. Cant wait for you all to see what it does." Once he finished speaking, River put the staff away and once again summoned his wand.
