Max got up and spat on the ground, wiping his mouth to check for any potential blood that may of been knocked out from the massive impact. He scanned the room, taking deep breaths to try and get the wind back that was knocked out of him. It seemed that most everyone, Gambit excluded, was on board with having the Prince of this regime by their side. "I'm changing clothes, so dont sucker punch me ok? Im not attacking anyone." The clothes that were on his began to deatomize and swirl around him, changing into a newer set of clothes that were more fit for the cold winter of New York. "Much better. Being shirtless in an airy warehouse on cold winter nights isnt exactly a great feeling. Especially not when the Prince of a crazy regime knocks you against a freezing cold wall and the air you need to breathe back in after having the wind knocked out of you is sharp, cold, and bitter. Apologize your royal highness, I had no idea you switched sides seeing as the last time I saw you was on the battlefield helping Wanda out. So no, this isn't an another reality dispute Barbie."

Max made his way over towards Doctor Strange, one of the few people who seemed to be level headed. "Doctor Strange, mind opening me one of your golden portals to Egypt? I want to scry on Wanda but seeing how powerful her magic is I'd rather not risk her tapping back to my magic and seeing where I am." Strange nodded towards him, extending his left arm outwards while swirling his right in a circular motion and opening up another golden portal of sparks. The cold air blew in from the far off desert, biting at his cheeks as he stepped through the portal. "Keep it open, I'll be right back." Max stood there, hands waving as he tried to gain a grip on Wanda's location so that he may spy on her and help plan the fight better. This unfortunately didn't seem to stick and he couldnt even manage to conjure up an image of her location. "Damn it!" Max made his way back into the Headquarters and looked to Strange shaking his head. "You can close it up...I couldn't get a read on her, she may be working against any magic to help keep her location, mind, and anything affiliated with her cloaked."

River winced as Kajins staff landed upon his head. Rubbing the spot afterwards as he noticed how much the pink haired Lalafell liked to hear himself speak. At the very least his insult were decently clever, making all of this much more amusing than it probably should have been. He had half a mind to tell the Lalafell off and lecture him on how much of a piss poor excuse it was that he just used for the sake of the Silver Bazaar. No the only silver thing here was the people's tongues as their hands slipped into your pockets and robbed you blind. One shouldn't make an honest living out of thievery but that was neither here nor there as it didn't help with the task. Content with letting the oink haired brat lead the negotiations with Kikipu, River stood quietly as his eyes shifted towards the padjal, noticing his finger in the air before he finally spoke. "Well? What is your concern horned one?"

As soon as Eris left Salem was left with just Max. Great. He had nothing against the guy but...the amount of awkward silence that he could fill into a room was surprising to say the least. And when he wasnt being silent it was usually some quick witted remark. Salem looked around, noticing those whose eyes kept wandering to their group and then leaving. This was getting to be a bit dangerous. The small hill like structure he made may have bought them some time but soon enough curious eyes would come wandering their way and he had no real way to stop it. He looked over at Max and finally spoke up "I took a picture of the glowing rune you were just talking about. Figured if anything I could attempt to research it and see what I find out, or perhaps stop a professor in magic to see what they know of it if one happened to walk by." There was another awkward pause as Salem swayed from the balls of his feet to his heels and back again, waiting for Eris. "Soooooo, what was that that Eris handed you? I must've missed it while I was checking her for cause of death."

Demetri looked over at Alannah and gave an impressed whistle. "Well someone knows their onions huh? So, are there many breaches like there was today? Or was this some random occurence brought on by the two new demi-gods that waltzed into the camp?" As he sat down atop of the table he heard a loud boom resonating through the camp. He rolled his eyes as he gestured outside with his thumb "Let me guess, the kids of Hermes are having a race to see who can go the fastest? On one hand I get how that could be training but on the other...imagine the injuries if you manages to accidentally trip and fall. The force of the impact, the speed at which they're traveling, it's like throwing an egg at a brick wall. Speaking of training, when do you want to start sparring Arty? Get those dagger skills honed as sharp as your blade and all that."

His eyes darted to the right looking towards the outside where Andy had left to gather Ash. He really did hope that they got all the Empousas. If they managed to fail and defeat even one of them and something were to happen to Andy or Ana...he couldn't forgive himself. His fairly neutral tone began to shift into a more somber one as his worry started to grow about Andy out there all alone. His pointer finger began to subconsciously dig at the cuticle of his thumb, leg bouncing slightly before he lifted his hand and started biting his nails. She'd be fine she was a tough kid with the power of Lightning. What's more, he was sure (or at least strongly hoped) that Zeus was watching her back and would strike down any who dared to attack her. Yeah. If she was in serious danger theres no reason why he couldnt interfere, or hell any of the many other demi-gods just roaming around the area. Demetri shifted his weight, turning slightly so that his legs hang off the short end of the table before fully laying back and sprawling across the top of it.

River

Aa the fight concluded everyone seemed to want to gather themselves for a hit. Each person drinking from their canteens, taking a moment, and seeing where the next plan of action was. River meanwhile was stretching himself out as he kept an eye out for any more tracks or possible monsters that they may come across. He couldnt help but smile and laugh as they poke fun at the idea of having am ice mage around just for the sake of cooling off, as if anyone would waste mana like that. As he saw the coast was clear and their direction was now known, he pressed forward using his stealth skill to help alleviate the sounds of his footsteps and any trace he may leave behind for animals to follow. As they neared some gnarled trees with large blue mushrooms River started getting system messages as he did before.

River examined the Baby Blues that sat before them, noticing their statted up like creatures rather than commen plant life that was strewn about. Once again their abilities and stats popped up for him, allowing him to see more than what others could. He took out his notebook and began to jot down what he had learned about them quickly, using his shorthand so that they wouldnt be caught off guard and attacked while he was busy. As he wrote he spoke out loud, answering Willows question about how these creatures functioned. "These seem to be a bit trickier than the Chitters. They're immobile creatures, but their immobility allows then to regenerate health and mana every 30 seconds. Aside from that they're ranged combatants that reduce damage by a moderate amount unless its piercing damage. So looks like this is your bag Holly and Ceci. They're poisonous so they shouldn't be ingested, not like I was going to try, and they can poison us with an AoE attack called Pulse of Posion. They can also affect others to give them damage reduction so long as the Baby Blues HP is lower than 100% meaning unless you're doing piercing damage you lose 40% of your damage output. Lastly...probably the worst part...at 50% HP they will attempt to call any and all Chitters in the area who will come and fight for the Baby Blues. I can try to put these creatures to sleep but I don't know how we want to proceed."

With every pop if the light, Max's shoulders flinched more and more and more. His eyes widening as he froze, watching the darkness look closer and closer to him until it was finally pitch black. All that could be heard was a soft squeal, the squeak of a mouse who had met its final fate. This was the worst possible outcome. Not being trapped, or found, or a potential fight, no, but being in complete and utter darkness. His fear began to take over him, hands trembling as he looked around for any source of light. There was a bamf and then another followed by a soft thud. "L-Leighton?" Suddenly there was a sharp breeze blowing past his ear, the sound of something smacking against the wall as he jumped in place and tried hard not to cry. A flash of yellow appeared, two dots glowing amidst the umbral sea that gave him pause and caused shivers to flow up his spine. Why did it have to be darkness? He attempted to move but his legs wouldnt listen, standing still quivering beneath him until there was the sound of the door again trailed behind a familiar voice.

Oh thank god Callie is here! She could manipulate lightning or something so perhaps she could get some light back in the room? But would that still be possible without any bulbs to conduct? His mind started racing, looking for any idea as to how to escape this nightmare of his until finally it paused at the most unlikely of thoughts. Raving outfits. Bright glowing clothes with LEDS, filaments, and other such sources to light up a darkened room for a colorful night. There was another loud bang as someone was tossed in the darkness and he knew he needed to act quick. Max concentrated on the task at hand and created two glowing ponchos, one for Leighton which shined a bright pink and another for himself which was a baby blue. Each appeared by their feet and Max picked up his, placing it on himself. "Leighton grab your glowing poncho! It should help us see in the dark."

Jinx sat there scoffing at the idea that it was all due to their telepathy that the kill went off without a hitch. Did they even know Shaw? Know of his powers and how pathetic the three in one's powers were in comparison? No, they may be smart but they're not exactly bright. He would let them believe that they were the ones responsible for his downfall if that was what it took to shut them up. As for the remark on Jinxs powers, he rolled his eyes so hard they could've fallen out of his skull. He didn't leave Magneto, he left the Brotherhood. He was still working under Magneto, still within the mutants grasp, and that showed him all he needed. Just because he had left the Brotherhood didnt mean that Magneto couldnt utilize his powers if needed. Besides, Wanda would've killed Jinx had he continued to run his mouth near her so leaving was most likely a safer option. It was true that she was kind to him and showed him how to harness his powers into more lethal weapons, but even the biggest saint would have a hard time not getting annoyed by the boys antics.

There was a short sigh as he looked out of the Jeep window, thinking back to those days of training, blasting holes into the yard as he tried so hard to impress Wanda with his skill, one they seemed to share. He left the group with dreams and ambitions, much like other youths who leave for New York I'm Hope's to become a star. His ambition however came with a price, and that price was being a grunt for the Hellfire Club until he would be able to take down this human government and its leader. He didn't see his leave as a betrayal or anything of that, it was a transfer within the same company as far as he was concerned. The main difference being that now he was in the heart of hatred, where purifiers ran rampant and he could kill to his sweet content, or just jinx their lives to be worse for their days. His eyes snapped back as he finally heard what theyd be doing and he looked back out the window once more "Do what you wish, just don't fuck this up ok? I'll do my part and you do yours."

Maddy was a whirlwind of emotions as they made their way towards the park. His heart was beating so fast he could have sworn it would tear out of his chest and fly off into the distance. The why however was rather unknown, or at the very least complicated. His emotions for Colby ran a bit wild as they sat there holding hands, Colbys eyes fixated on the road before them as he concentrated on his driving. This was one source of his hearts fast paced beating, the other was the growing anxiety that gnawed at the pit of his stomach. A deep churning sensation as they grew closer and closer to their destination, worry riddling him wondering what they might find when they enter the park. Would the stranger be present? Or perhaps some prankster who used to be part of the orphanage they both were at. His mind was at war, curious and wanting to seek answers to the questions that kept arising, yet anxious and afraid of looking for such answers for the fear that he may not like what he finds. These thoughts were enough to drive someone mad.

Once they finally approached, Maddy let go of the breathe he had been holding. Muscles once tense now relaxing as he was finally able to gain feeling in his face. What he saw before him wasn't anything to be nervous about, nothing screamed out of the ordinary; it was just people enjoying a day in the park with their dogs and children, and families. Maybe he thought too much on this? After all he thinks too much on everything, or so he is told. His eyes scanned the park, searching for an unknown, a stranger amongst a sea of strangers. That's when he finally saw her, a woman looking straight at him, carving an apple with a blade in her hand. His hand tensed up once again, feeling Colbys in his and realizing he had never let go. "S-sorry. Look, there's someone there...looking right at us." Maddy nodded towards her direction, trying not to show that he had caught her staring. "Don't worry, I'm sure it'll be fine. Just relax and breathe ok?: Whether this was to Colby or himself it was hard to tell since Maddy had the horrible habit of given very good advice, yet very seldomly following it.

Max began to tune out what Jack and his father were talking about. It started becoming way too Days of Our Lives for him to care, and it clearly didn't pertain to the mission on hand. He began to tap this finger on the counter, trying to find a way that would enable them to get down to the basement without any suspicion. That thought, however, was broken up when the smell of buffalo wings wafted through the air and his stomach began to grumble. Max took a stick of celery, dipping it in the buffalo sauce that gathered at the bottom of the wax paper and then dipping it into his blue cheese before taking a bite. This was without a doubt the best food he had eaten in a very long while. Protien bars may contain all that he needed to keep himself going, and sure the Mutant Undergeound tried but this, actual hot cooked food straight from a kitchen, it was like heaven. Max turned to watch Leighton as she began to flirt with the bartender. At first it made him want to roll his eyes, now wasnt the time nor place, but then he caught on to what she was doing. And it was excellent.

No sooner did she bat her eyelashes, than they were already on their way down there. She had asked him to grab the wings, but honestly she didnt need to because he wasnt letting this go. He brought along a moist towelette packet that tends to come with them, not wanting to have dirty fingers leave any prints behind. The new area was significantly better than the bar upstairs, Leigton joked about VIPs where Max immediately thought of a speakeasy. Or at the very least a lounge for Shaw and his cronies to plot and steal mutants. He'd seen first hand the luxury this Hellfire Club was accustomed to and didnt doubt this was some vain attempt at keeping it in a shadier location. As Max scanned the room he heard a thwack and watched as Leighton knocked the bartender out, asking him to do something with the body. Easiest way would be cremation, that is until she told him he was alive still. There wasn't much to do about him, and Max feared that jostling the body too much may wake him so he opted to help search the room. "I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary, well besides." He gestured to the whole room

Jinx mouthed off silently as the girls spoke, mocking them in pure irritation. "Yeah, minds tend to be easier to read when you have someone who can help with that. Why do you think he was such an easy target? So easily stabbed and hit without so much as a flicker of his power? You're welcome." His eyes danced about the room as he looked at all the toys, wondering which would be best for the mission as well as which would they be allowed to take. The group made their way to a Jeep and Jinx could do little more than whistle in appreciation. The Three in One were quick to tell him not to touch anything, and he was more than certain that if he did there'd be a new hole in the club. "Yeah yeah I know. Hm. Good to know I shouldn't worry about Emma's little speech then. For a second there it felt like she'd done something but maybe it was just her reading my mind, who knows. Anyways, why the hell is Shaw...was Shaw, a Nazi? And How could Magneto stand to work with him? I assume no one knew because I've known Mags for a while now and I doubt he'd be willing to just let a Nazi roam around like that."

Jinx got into the carz filling up the last available seat before clicking on his seatbelt. He ran his hand through the interior of the vehicle, feeling the pure luxury of it all and taking pleasure in it. As he lay his head back, his small curls bunching against the headrest, he realized something. He wasnt sure what this mission was. "He Anastasia, what exactly is this mission again? What're we doing? I should know our goal and how we want to do it otherwise I'm not sure how much help I'll be. Sounds like we wanna be a bit stealthy but..." his voice trailed off, not because he was thinking, but quite the opposite he had lost his train of thought. Choosing to allow his words to leave him as he sat there waiting for an answer from someone.

He hated to admit it, but her worth was a lot. Perhaps they could use her to warp Scarlet Witch in a similar fashion to what she had done to Havock? Or maybe try to lock her down with enough telepaths blasting Wanda's mind to keep her occupied or still as the rest of the team worked on binding her hands and mouth. Regardless of the plan, having a powerful telepath was always a good card to keep. Max buttoned up his suit jacket so that his chest wasnt fully exposed, noting that everyone who had gone downstairs had made quick work of it and brought the rest of their party up and up to speed. Maria had unfortunately given Anastasia her memories back, and while he was sure she would still help them out for Wanda's I'll doings to her, he was worried that her now knowing him may prove to be a problem, especially if she was badly damaged from the fires that wrapped her body at his behest.

Max rubbed his temples as Jack continued to speak to Anastasia, his eyes closed as he tried to hone out everyone talking. "Jack that's enough. We're a team now and I think we should act like one. If Casper can be ok working with X-Men we should be able to handle working with a single person. Now, like you said it appears we're all but wrapped up here so let's see about getting home." Max was debating on saying something snarky to Casper or Ben, or even just seeing if he could punch this Ben person who seemed to say things he couldnt ever hear, which honestly felt very high school. But that would defeat the whole let's not argue arguement he just made. Max held his hands out, ready to open up a portal, when suddenly a golden ring of sparks appeared and a familiar portal had been opened up to the resistance headquarters. Max stepped through and his eyes immediately caught Pietro, and a girl he had vaguely seen at the ceremony earlier. Panic set in and all he could do was yell out "Look out they work for Wanda!"

They knew it was only a matter of time before the Scarlet Witch sent out some forces to find them, Max just didn't think it would happen so soon; but with a speedster like Pietro anything was possible. His new lifestyle memories briefly flashed as he recognized the other as Guin, married into the family by Pietro. His eyes flashed as his hands began to attempt and summon chains to bind the pair when suddenly Pietros eyes flashed equally as fast. A sense of recognition in him as he hoped his spell would conjure before the speedster could race off. Unfortunately for Max, Pietro was much faster. Using his speed and build, he used his body to charge at Max, his shoulder making contact and sending the blonde mutant flying into a wall. In a flash, Max opened his eyes the wind being knocked out of him, only to see that the Prince stood before him with what appeared to be the intent to strangle him.

The last words Demetri could hear was the sound of Zeke complaining about Kristin's smarts. To an extent Demetri, reluctantly, agreed to what Zeke was saying. She did seem to take pride in her knowledge, which honestly good for her so long as it doesnt get her bullied, teased, or generally rub others the wrong way. The most it was doing know was making Demetri uncomfortable at the thought that he actually agreed with that blonde haired Apollo boy. Gross. His thoughts were snapped back when Andy asked him about Hypnos, she'd come to the right guy. He practically knew all there was to know about him, but before he could even speak Arthur decided to chime in and say something. All he could do was smile as he tussled Arthur's hair. "You're not wrong there, but to be fair it doesn't take much to trick Zeus. Hell Prometheus did it as well and it didnt even require anything more than actual wit. Hypnos is however a Primordial, so he's definitely not one to mess with, and that vial she received looks to contain water from the River of Lethe, itll cause any who drink from it to lose their memories so best to stay away. He's also said to be the father of Morpheus who you may of heard of more. All in all not a bad parent to be with I'd say. Then again any is great if they give you these awesome gifts."

They were too far away to have witnessed the assault by chatters, too far to hear the sounds of her death, and too far to be able to act on it or help her. This was probably for the best, had Demetri seen anyone defile the corpse...it wouldn't be a pretty sight. As they neared the cafeteria and saw the Harpies cleaning up, he clapped his hands onto Andy's left shoulder and Arty's right before he started singing with Monas voice. "So you wanna be a hero kid well, whooptie doo." His eyes went wide as he realized the wrong sound came out and he cleared his throat before shifting his voice back onto his own and then sitting upon a table top. "Well that wasn't supposed to happen. Anyways, this camp seems a bit dangerous, start carrying your dagger around with you ok? And both of you, I have a bit of training with both daggers and swords. If you'd like I can teach you a thing or two about how to use them." He gave the pair a coy wink before continuing on "Now I'd rather you not be in melee range of any of these monsters but...its better to have a skill and not use it than to need a skill and not have it. So what do you say?"
