So much had happened in such a short time. His King had fallen, Captian America was disarmed and disabled, and the psychotic teen that should've been dead had just attempted to kill Tony Stark. As the daggers entered his eyes Kwassi's jaw went slack, prepared for the war that was about to erupt, that is until Stark turned green and fell much like Flynn and the others had before. His grip tightened on his escrima, noting that the others of Team Stark weren't fazed except the grunts of the litter. This was a Skrull invasion and they just took a massive chunk of earthen force. His eyes darted toward the Quinjet, Black Panther, and all the others who had been knocked unconscious. He began to bolt towards the King when he was suddenly swooped up, his legs immediately halted and changed directions towards Captain America who was also lifted away. Like a surrounded animal Kwassi felt helpless, trapped, and dangerous.

It was clear that they were going after high profile heroes, so he began to make a mad dash towards Breacher, an ally that had been taken out of the fight. His portals would be a great help in the fight against Skrulls, and it appeared they had the same thing in mind. Just feet before him Breacher was swooped up and taken away towards the enemy convoy. Kwassi silently cursed in his head as survival was becoming more and more a priority. Saving others who were downed seemed almost impossible of a task. But as he ran towards the Quinjet to try and flee for safety, a blizzard began to form, the cold whipping across his face and biting at his cheeks. A sudden heat filling the air as a blast from Skrull Marvel lobbed off the deranged woman's arm, and pierced The Flies armor.

Bonnie was helping the girl which lead Kwassi to swoop under Andrews arm and scoop him up. "Easy there buddy, Let's get the hell out of this blizzard and in the safety of the Quinjet." Now wasn't the time for I Told You So's. Now wasn't the time to see enemies in allies, Now was the time to act, group up, and help one another against another alien threat on our planet. He didn't known who these Skrulls were, or what they wanted, but he knew that if this was their way of integration then it wasn't welcome. As their feet crunched against the snow beneath them, a ship dropped out of the sky and collided against some skrulls.

The ship was foreign in design, not of Wakandan or S.H.I.E.L.D. make, and it prompted Kwassi to go faster. Regardless of the fleet of Skrulls that were wiped out, it didn't soften the fall enough and the ground still shook from the impact. His legs corrected themselves almost as if by memory, having not been his first situation with unsteady flooring or massive quakes. He looked back once more at the ship as the entered the Quinjet. "What the hell is going on on this day. Should we be worried about allies in that potential enemy warship that just crash landed on the ground? Or just assume its a bad pilot?" Kwassi squinted his eyes as he saw a figure leaving the ship. At first it was hard to make out but then he saw him clearly "Holy fuck they have The President." The question now was, was he a surviving Skrull from the crash looking for aid and deceit? Or the actual President himself?

Demetri watched in awe as his little sis shot out bolts of lightning that danced from bot to bot. It was like a scene from Frankenstein except the outcome wasn't alive, but rather death that they wished to achieve. His attention swayed to Marygold as she complained about no one taking her free hits, something Demetri had assumed Jason or Leda would do. But nevertheless he wasnt upset by his choice to stay by the kids as he figured they "adults" had themselves handled. The crackling lightning subdued and Demetri ran towards Andy and Artie giving them dual nuggies as he smiled with glee. "You two were amazing out there. Great thinking both of you. But that doesn't mean I'll stop keeping an eye on you two." He stuck out his tongue and as he reached down to grab his dagger he saw his reflection in the celestial bronze.

The morning had been so hectic and his panic to wild he had almost not noticed his eyes were crackling blue. His smile faded for an instant, leaving a ghost behind as the color shimmered and faded to a dull brown before turning back to the rest. "Well that was exciting if not a bit short lived, but I suppose we got what we needed and we should set back on to see The Romans. Wonder if they have another me around." Demetris footsteps halted as he thought for a moment "Wait this isn't some weird uncanny valley shit where its all twins of us right? Cuz im not sure im ready for that."

Max wasn't sure how to answer her. How does one explain an impulse? Its not that he didn't want to save her, but that he had no time to even think about it before he had done it. "Because regardless of whats happened, I don't want to see you get hurt ok?" His tone had changed, seemingly sounding like a tsundere would in this type of situation. The word idiot just hanging off the tip of his tongue. But none of that mattered now, because suddenly Sunshine placed her hand on him and a strange feeling began to take place within him. The words left his mind and he just felt a rush inside of him. As if she was calling to something deep inside.

The feeling coalesced in his chest where her hand rested, then it left him and became physical right before his eyes. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, nor could he believe how he was feeling. Max took a deep breath, filling his lungs with air and feeling no nausea, or pain as he did so. His eyes went wide and tears brimmed at the corners as he lurched forward and hugged her. "I don't know how but I feel good. Like before I had M-Pox." He sniffled a bit as he backed away from the hug to wipe his tears of joy. "I had forgotten what it was like to feel this way, to not feel an ache with every step, and every breathe. For the world to stop spinning...thank you."

Harry couldn't help but smile behind his cup of coffee as he watched James and Casper in delight. Everyone needed moments like this to break up the dark and somber times. It was a healthy reminder of what they were fighting for. Freedom. The freedom to be happy, to live unashamedly themselves, and to have little moments like this without the need of fear behind it. He took another long sip of his drink before placing the cup down, pinky out to soften its return to the table. "Alright Alright you two. That's enough kissing unless you got some spare for me ok?" He offered them a cheeky wink before grabbing a slice of bread and taking a small bite. He had planned on having his clones distribute the medication but it appeared Veil was already on it.

Harry watched as his twin walked away, working herself as usual instead of asking for others to bear a portion of the load. He closed his eyes for a moment, just sitting there as he listened to the world around him before he spoke up again. "I'll head with Waves. If this is sole purifier trap then at the very least I can increase our numbers and surprise them. Besides, Max is my roomate so I feel I should go find him." Harry pocketed one of the cures with him for Max to take when they found them. Worried about what they might face and having a tinge of fear in the back of his mind about what might have happened if he went to fight the Hellfire Club again.

Colby didn't seem to notice Matthews gesture, or at the very least he didn't understand what he meant by it. Slamming his own ale down before handing it off to the barkeep. Matthews thumbs twiddled as he wondered what to do next, thinking about the three to the room and being unsure of who he trusted to be the third especially with their two cats with them. As Hansel made for upstairs, keys jangling in hand, Matthew grabbed his tankard of ale and followed suit, taking sips at the frothy drink as the bitterness coated his tongue making him regret every one. Every room was more furnished than he anticipated, it was medieval fantasy but he hadnt expected it to be like this. As others started pairing off into rooms and asking those around to share, Matthew became more and more nervous about what was to come.

Either he and Colby would share a room together for the night, or Colby would choose to be alone and Matthew would have to sleep with two strangers. His thumb glided against the cold metal that wrapped around the wooden tankard, rubbing it slowly as he stood by an open door nervously watching. People seemed to be grouping up left and right and Matthew in his hesitation and nerves grabbed hold of the handle and down the bitter drink before holding Colbys hand and tugging gently on it in the direction of the room. "W-w-would y-you like to share a r-room with me?" He spoke softly as he nodded towards the unoccupied space behind him. His cheeks were flushed red with either the warmth of ale, the embarrassment of asking, or the idea of sharing a room with Colby.

Demetri gave Lauren a smile as she told him it should be enough to help. It slowly faded as the ground began to shake and almost a dozen celestial bronze bots emerged from the pile. He had his orders to get the junk to the ship and begin repairs while they handled what was happening here. Demetri ran ask fast as he could, putting his legs to use as he imagined himself back in his forest, running with the cold air against his face, jumping over the gnarled roots of trees, and speeding headlong into escapism. Before he knew it he was back at the ship and dropping off the supplies. From atop he could see Jason decapitating an automaton, and Mary wrangling three. He felt like he should help, or at least be near Andy and Arthur so nothing could happen to them.

As he sped back down, breathing rhythmically on his way towards the pair, he heard her plan for a piggy back system. Honestly it was brilliant if it worked, and he figured he could help extend the range more by adding another relay to the mix. "I gotcha sis. Another relay coming up" Demetri called upon his earing, having it shift into his dagger and then promptly fumbling it. Not the best start. He gripped it tighter this time, throwing the dagger and having it pitch to far over before calling it back to his hand. Demetri grit his teeth and his eyes shone blue as he finally flicked his wrist and the dagger landed squarely into the center cavty of the automaton. "You're up Arthur."

Having rubbed away the dirt, streaks of mudd down his cheeks from the impulsive tears that came from the discomfort, he saw Bonnie leaving their fight to check on an unconscious girl. He blinked once, twice, and realised it was a different one from who he was talking about. The other having apparently gone ferral and ripped out one of Cass's eyes for revenge. As he stood there catching his breath, he wondered where the wild child even came from and how she managed to be allowed to fight given her grotesque habits. Kwassi looked away from the eye chewing woman only to watch the fights unfold before him. It appeared they were gaining the upper hand but anything could change in an instant. A large blast came from his left as he turned and saw the breacher blast himself back into a pole. With the exception of him and Bonnie it almost felt like amateur hour for a few of them.

Kwassi stood up, and saw just in time as a blast flew towards him. Narrowly missing a hard shot as it skimmed his side. The jolt was enough to cause a twitch in which his right arm jersey forward and was hit by the second blast. "Oh great, now I have to fight Jeff Goldblums The Fly." He gripped his escrima with both hands and took a hard swing, the small target nimbly ducking beneath the metal. Kwassi tried once more on the return swing, getting irritated at the small target as he missed again. This time he waited, watched his flight pattern and aimed where he would be. Kwassi coiled back and swung as hard as he could, knocking the pesky person far far away from him as he heard the satisfying sound of metal clanking on tiny metal and he watched the small spec go off.

Max was baffled by how calm Sunshines reaction was to the presence of an actual living? ghost. Unsure of how well the idea of feeding a spectral being some ribs would do, he figured he may as well play along incase she knew something he didn't know. But before he was capable of uttering a single word or twitching any fingers, there was the sound of rushed footsteps as Sunshine came barreling down the hallway towards him. Max's eyes went wide as he saw the bloodied axe weilding spirit chasing after her. He had no time to panic, and acted almost as if on impulse and without thought of his own life. He jutted out into the hallway, moving his hands in a clockwise manner as he formed a circle and conjured up ten pounds of salt before the manic being. His mind quickly went to the texts he'd read before while brushing up his latin as he began to chant.

"Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica. Ergo, omnis legio diabolica, adiuramus te... cessa decipere humanas creaturas, eisque æternæ perditionìs venenum propinare... Vade, satana, inventor et magister omnis fallaciæ, hostis humanæ salutis... Humiliare sub potenti manu Dei; contremisce et effuge, invocato a nobis sancto et terribili nomine... quem inferi tremunt... Ab insidiis diaboli, libera nos, Domine. Ut Ecclesiam tuam secura tibi facias libertate servire, te rogamus, audi nos."

There was a pause, some silence, and then nothing. His heart sank and eyes left the spectral visage that was no longer there. Turning to face Sunshine with panic, excitement, and concern. "Are you ok? Did it hurt you? And are you crazy?! That thing could've killed you. Or at least it certainly looked as if it wanted to." He let out a breath he hadnt realised he was holding as he pressed his back against the wall leaning his head along the surface. "No more sneaking off alone. This place seems dangerous and we can't risk losing each other ok?" If he arrived back without her, chances are they would think he killed her out of petty spite or something and just shove him back into the streets or worse, turn him into the authorities like Waverly wanted. She already wished he was gone, this would just push her further.

Echos chest collapsed in exhaustion as Glimpse undid whatever was going on with Jacks head. According to Glimpse and the others his father Sinister had implanted some form of sleeper cell telepathy causing this mornings rude upset. He wasn't quite sure that he bought it though. As Echo watched the stretchy mutant bash his head against a wall (something he wished he could do given how some others reacted recently) he wondered if this was truly what had happened. Was his father really the culprit here? Was Jack truly a victim? Or did he use this new knowledge as an excuse for his behavior this morning. He didn't like the idea of Jack hiding information from them, especially if it meant having unstable episodes that could harm the other mutants.

But those thoughts came and went as exhaustion rolled by and Echo made his way back towards the table taking a dark coffee. Every step felt different somehow. As if he was more aware of the gift of walking than he was before, having previously taken this privilege for granted. When a sudden breeze blew by all Echo could do was call out to the offending speedster "Watch it, this hair takes time you know! Oh, Quicksilver to what do we owe the pleasure?" It didn't take long for the silver haired speedster to spew out what was transpiring as well as giving the cure before he was off without so much as a hello. Echo rolled his eyes as he took a long sip from his drink. "Not sure why he came to inform us if they're already taking care of it. But Magneto hand delivered the news himself just before he almost severed my spine."

Matthew hadnt expected for Merlin to be joining them on distraction team. Figuring his expertise in magic may be needed for the rescue to either fight off arcane locks, traps, or even just goons with magic. There were still a lot of uncertainties that filled this plan that made him nervous. The bright side was that he could try and watch what Merlin did, study his movements and try to replicate it later when it was safer and away from civilians. As Hansel brought of the drink, Matthew looked into the tankard and his expression fell flat. He hadn't been expecting alcohol, though he supposed asking for water or a ginger ale was more out of the question than not. So instead he took in the scent, the hops filling his nose and leaving an acrid feeling before he finally ventured in for a sip. The taste was bitter, dry, and unpleasant. It made him wonder why anyone in the real world drank this.

He pushed his tankard aside, Carroll stepping up to it and recoiling at the scent as they moved away from the liquid and curled into Matthews chest against the table. If anything maybe Colby would fancy drinking it instead. The idea was to cause a distraction with fire, something he could easily do. So could Merlin or any number of them he was sure. The rescue team was built and everyone knew where to meet up incase anyone was lost or they needed a quick escape. That meant they could all relax and retire to their rooms for the night. He hadn’t actually thought of it, but looking around there was quite a few of them there. Were they all getting their own rooms or would they be grouped up? Males and females? Two by two? His face began to flush as he thought of sharing a room with Colby. His voice cracking as he barely got out his question. "Um, so what's the rooms arrangement going to be like?"

"You really do. Honestly it's made this all the more enjoyable, always hard to find good opponents." Kwassi turned his head, ready to use his skills to leap back up into action when he saw Agent Reed kill a teenager. Captain America's one request was that they do no killing, and here the other team was getting blood. Before he could even react a pillow of dirt got kicked into his face. His eyes immediately claiming shut, barely missing as some debris made its way in. His face was covered in soil and his mouth was dry as he licked the dirt off his teeth and spat a wad of saliva into the ground to help remove it from his mouth. "To think I was just complimenting you, that's dirty play. Really wish I had my mask fixed so that the eye wholes weren't exposed anymore. But what can you do?" As Kwassi spoke, his hands reached for the flash bomb in his hack pocket, sliding it out and then trying to get it to work. "But two can play at that game." Nothing happened. No sound nor flash, nothing.

He gave a scowl as he attempted it once more, having the device fail him due to his temporary blindness. "Apparently two can't play that game. Touché" He placed the bomb away as he slowly got up. Brushing the dirt and grass off his suit and face as best as he could. He didn't know exactly where she was, but he had a guess based on the last attack and the sounds that followed. She didn't seem to have moved, but he wouldn’t know until he tried. "You say only those vetted by the agency should be allowed out in the field. Then explain why Cassandra Reed just killed a teenager. We were ordered not to kill, only subdue because you're lives still matter. Are you telling me your side is willing to murder for your cause? Because that makes you no better than any villain willing to achieve their dreams." Kwassi gripped his escrima and swung a wild but tempered shot toward Bonnie, narrowly missing her.

Demetri watched as Jason ran off towards their goal. Seemingly like a child racing to the finish lest he be a rotten egg. It was cute, endearing, and made him see him in a new light. Perhaps the boy with flaming hair and temper wasn't so bad? If anything he seemed to be full of energy and joy. So ofcourse Demi gave him a cheeky wink before going down into the garden and scrounging up as much celestial bronze as he could find. Once he emerged from the pool of bronze with two arms full of trinkets and a dopey smile, he looked at Jason as he said "Look at all this, I bet its super helpful" To which Lauryn covered her mouth to stifle a laugh. "Actually thats all junk." Demetris ears burned red as he buried his face behind the pile of scrap, only hearing the sound of Kiera being knocked about by a bull.

He quickly peered his head over the pile, seeing Kiera laying in a heap of celestial bronze. Before Demetri could even act, Priestess Leda swooped into action calling forth a vibrant sword and taking three nasty swings at it. She said the creature was a Colchis Bull, something she made quick work of now after apparently having done so before. His arm went slack in amazement allowing a single piece of scrap to fall and clink against the others on the ground. "That was bloody brilliant." He spoke mainly to himself seeing that she was preoccupied with Kieras well being. But he had so many questions for her.
