Max gave Sunshine a warm smile. It was weird, and chances were if he spoke hed make it weird. Just giving her a thumbs up as he made his way over to the counter. He waited in line patiently until it was his turn, resting his forearms on the counter and feeling the cool metal bite through the jacket and onto his skin. Normally he'd complain about the cold, but feeling it made all this much more real. They managed to escape an odd island and what's more were able to rid him of M-Pox. He wished he could tell the Underground about it all but it was up to Sunshine to reveal this new strand of her powers. "10 piece nugget with every sauce packet and two sweet and sour, 2 Large Fries, Large Sweet Tea light ice, and a Medium Vanilla Shake please." Max handed the...boy? girl? Person, the twenty and waited patiently for their food.

Once it was all finished and came out, he headed back towards Sunshine, snagging up a free table nearby for them to eat at. "Here you go, just what you ordered. Though I wasn't sure what sauce you wanted so I just asked for all of them." Max handed her the bag of sauces, having taken the extra Sweet and Sour for his fries. It felt...odd, being here with her, having a casual lunch at a fast-food joint. Not because it was her, although that added its own weight to it, but because it had been so long it felt like since he felt...normal. Just two teens sitting out as if at a malls food court enjoying a bite to eat. "So whats our next plan?"

Harry began to look out the window once more. Mostly in part to avoid others being able to see his eyes roll into the back of his skull. He was already on edge with Jack being there after this mornings events, and now he was proving to be insufferable as well. It was a wonder his sisters hair hadnt gone grey with the amount of narrow-minded thoughts that a lot of these people shared. It was as if once they thought of one thing it had to be the only way. Yes this may have been a trap but they needed to prepare for the possibility that it wasn't. Or at the very least have the mind to think of more than a singular scenario. He watched the flickers of green as they drove by, helping to drown out the sound of two children bickering like siblings. It almost appeared to be a race to see who could get the most information before the other, having Zari hacke the feeds from this distance and then Waves piggybacking off the feeds to give out her own intel from her powers.

It was remarkable really, if not for the fact that this expediency seemed like a children's case of anything you can do i can do better. Harry finally pulled his attention away from the window and back towards the group. He eyed the line and those within the car and gave a defeated sigh. Harry slowly began to unbutton his shirt, allowing his bare chest to be revealed midway down just below his pecks. He double checked his hair in the mirror of the car and made sure his eyebrows were on point. "If we need a way in i can try and pass as new talent. Ask the bouncer where my entrance is and we can attempt to sneak in there. Casper you've been here before, would I pass for an employee? Or do you have any glitter i can add to make this all a bit more believable?"

And just like that Demetri's sunny disposition had vanished. Not moments before he was crackin jokes that the massive creation of Hephaestus decided to spearhead their ship. The warning came a tad too late for the child of Zeus however as the sudden lurch caused him to fling over the very railing he had just been leaning on. By his luck, or Tyche's guidance if Leda was correct, he managed to grab onto the rails and hold tight. The wind whipping past him as the ship flew up and away, his fingers turning white from the sheer force of it all. He saw as Lauryn extended a hand towards him, The sounds of voices calling out to him barely broke past the rushing winds until he heard Andy's voice and watched her hand decend.

He grabbed onto Lauryns, then Andy's, and then helped pull himself up onto the ship and laid flat across the floor. "I. Hate. Flying." He'd spent his first trip on the air coiled up as a snake around some pompous child of Aphrodite, and now he was clinging on to dear life on another vessel. He'd of turned into a snake and slithered onto Jason's calf if he didn't think the Ares kid would gut him for it. Instead he wrapped his arm around the rope that Andy clung to and held on tight in the event of another attack or turbulent motion. "Thanks though...I'm alright. Just wish I was a snake right now is all."

Kwassi ignored both Agent Moss's irritated mood, and Agent Reeds one eyed glare. They were on a mission together whether they liked it or not, and missions were no place for sentiments or feelings to get in the way of logical thinking. Ofcourse Reed couldn't pilot in her condition, at the very least she saw that and appointed Hawkeye. "Good. Hawkeye can fly this bird then. As for you..." Kwassi moved the gun and inch closer to The President. Making it a point that je was to sit still, and his help piloting wouldn't be necessary. "Just sit tight until we can sort this all out. No offense but I'd rather not take the risk of you crashing this jet into the ground. So if you would just sit there and be patient we can get this all over with." His tone was cold, uncaring, and void of emotion. He was distancing himself from the situation, making it easier to strike any of them down should they turn.

Not wanting to leave the Serval man unanswered Kwassi coughed out a response. "So whats the name?" There was a brief pause, his question a bit unclear as to who or what he was directing it to. His gaze never met Andrews, keeping his sights trained on The President as he said he would. "If you're not 'The Flyn' then whats the name? The Amazing shrinkman? Pretty sure Antmans taken, so I went with an equally statuered creature, except yours is capable of flight it seems." To say it was difficult to be in his situation was an understatement. Any one of them could've been replaced by Hill and none of them would know it. The only ones he could trust were the two that sided with him and the Cap. Rogers must've sensed something was off.

Max wanted to bite back, explain to her how exhausting it was to have M-Pox and how much of a danger it was to use his powers while under its influence. Luckily for them she removed that danger, giving him time to gain his strength again and be able to try at the very least. His new ability was more than testy, and it took a toll on him. "Im sorry if my voice is so grating to you. I'll try and keep our conversations to a minimal then." There was no fight left in his tone. No sense of hatred, or anger, just pity for the girl who lost what little she already had in a world that did nothing but take from them. This wasn't the time for them to fight, and she was clearly hurting over Magiks death. So he took the punches that he needed to and pressed on.

"I think removing that clunk helped bounce me back a bit so...here goes something." Max held her hand quickly as the familiar black void rippled in the air around them filling the space they left with a massive cold spot. In the second it took they were now somewhere new, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Right city, wrong location. Fuck. "Ok, still a ways off but we're in the right city at least. Follow me and we can grab something to eat, build up our strength from this long morning." Max placed his hand inside of his jacket pocket, concealing his use of power as he muttered some words and was able to scrounge up 20 dollars for them to use. "Pick your poison, im buying."

Echo flipped his hair in a smooth and practiced manner. Removing his curly tufts away from his eyes as he followed suit behind everyone, choosing to sit near a window seat in the car. "A trap is a possibility, but honestly from what I've noticed the kids powers can be a little unstable. There's a high chance he had another mishap, landed there, and was either escorted out or held in place until their legal guardians could pick them up. That being us." Harry looked out the window pensively as he watched the streets go by. He was worried for his roomate, worried for Sunshine, and all in all hoping that they would make it in time to deliver the cure. A worried sigh slipped passed his lips as he pulled away from the window and looked back at those in the car.

"Sorry we missed your birthday, but I'm sure I can try and whip something up for you later if you'd like. A nice cake maybe? But till then, think when you're in their feed that you can jam the signals? Make them go black or play on loop? The less evidence that we ever paid the visit the better. Don't need to have the media thinking we're more deviant than they already believe, whether we're partaking in the festivities or crashing them its a bad look for us mutants. Worlds too narrow-minded to accept us or those workers." Harry thought on James' question. Unsure of how best to answer or approach the situation. There were instances where a bouncer could be bribed, and Harry had some expendable money, however it wasn't a full proof plan especially with young faces.

Matthew finished getting ready, going into the room and giving his cat a big squeeze before having to depart for the day. He gave Carroll a kiss on the forehead and whispered to him that it would all be alright, he was leaving for a little while but that Jack would be here to keep him company. He gathered his things and finally made his way out of the door, pausing briefly at the threshold as he looked back at the empty bed and gave it a warm smile before trekking forward.

Once downstairs he saw just how lively everyone already was. Eating and drinking, discussing plans as if this was some Tuesday afternoon. Find which ways were the best was to distract and if they were going to be destructive in the wake of it all. He gathered up a plate full of food, wondering how often they would have such a luxury on this road and began shoveling it away. "Often the best solution is one in which there's two answers. We can set the cattle free and have the guards swarm after them, but there will be those that remain and stand fast. Thats when the pyrotechnics come in. It'll be a two part assault to spread them thin making them even less awares."

As Demetri watched Leda kiss Kiera's arm, the offer of chocolate and general romance in the air, he leaned back against the railing of the ship and saw the bronze and golden reflection of the suns rays lighting up the ship. In that moment for just a second, he thought of those two as Zeke and him. The son of Apollo's golden hair brushing softly against his arm as he leaned in to kiss it and heal a wound he'd gotten from sheer dumbassery. No doubt being berated about it as well. He could imagine Zekes face of annoyance as he tended to the wound and scolded him about safety or another and how his power wasn't something to abuse. The thought lasted for a moment, just enough for Leda to call him back to earth as she answered his question on the Roman's.

Demetri let out a breath from his chest, an audile sound of concern drifting away as her words melted his worry. "Well that's good. Let's be honest I couldn't handle another me let one seeing an army of Zeke's. Ugh." It didn't take much to grab Demis attention, and having more than one person staring out made him nervous of what was behind him. As he turned to face the giant automaton his jaw dropped and he joined the chorus of worry. "Right. Any chance we can move this a bit faster yeah? Just a smidge. Not trying to be cheeky just a tad worried is all"

Kwassi chuckled at Andrews joke. "Yeah. No hard feelings." Kwassi helped Andrew off of him and turned to face the possible new threat. Tensions were high, and suspicions even higher. He watched as the man before him spoke, judging his body language, vocal tones, pupil dilation, anything that could give tell if he was lying about who he was and what he was saying. By the end of it Kwassi was certain this was either an expert liar like Widow, or the actual President of the United States. "Hawkeye, Metal Man, stand down. There's already been one bad decision this evening by having certain heroes following Skrulls into battle, we don't need to make another one on haste. That being said you two could be Skrulls assigned to take down The President, we don't know."

He looked to those around him with a critical eye. "Alright, I think The President is who he says he is, but we don't know our knew threat well. I'll watch him during our flight, keep a trained sight on him and if he so much as tries anything I'll pull the trigger myself. Meanwhile we need a pilot and for someone to keep an eye on Circus freak over there and let's get some medical attention on The Fly. We don't know what these creatures want but what we do know is we need to get the hell out of here. So let's go ahead and mobilize." As soon as Kwassi finished speaking he drew his ICER out on The President and waved it to insinuate for him to go inside the jet. All the while his gun would be trained on his every move.

Max felt her body instinctualy repulse just before he let go and backed away. He expected a punch, or sickness, or even just for her to bash him over the head with the M-Pox ball but nothing. Just a threat that felt almost empty as he watched his expression plummet. It was hard to see with the water that welled up in his eyes but he could almost swear she looked as if she was going to tear up. He knew it wasn't happiness, no something changed and it was something he had said to her. That's when it clicked, she cured him of M-Pox but she lost Magik to it. His hands balled up for a moment before the tension released and he wished to hug her again but in comfort. Instead Max knelt down and pocketed the metallic ball into his bag. Making sure not to touch it with any skin contact.

"Im really sorry about that. Truly. But you're right, we need to find a way out of here and get back to everyone. Maybe..." His voice trailed off into thought as he didn't want to speak it into words. But maybe when they returned he could go to an internet cafe and do some research or head to a library or contact Doctor Strange. Someone Somewhere had to have an idea of what took Magik and how to get her back. Sunshine had done him a huge favor by ridding him of his disease, perhaps he could do the same in easing her burden of what had transpired. But for now he didn't want to give her hope. He didn't want to promise something he couldn't follow through with. After all he said he would protect Leighton and well...

Max's eyes began to well up again as he sniffled. Wiping the tears away he began to walk down the hallway, looking about and searching for anything that would be able to help them out. Pushing back his thoughts and focusing solely on this one task. Just one foot before the other and nothing more. He hadn't found a boat, or car, or even a fridge full of food, but what he did find was invaluable. A book of spells. More ways for him to practice and almost as if it was a gift from the Scarlett Witch herself. Max grabbed the book, flipping through the pages as he saw countless spells in it and thought of the potential to reach Wanda's power. "Nothing that can help us in the here and now but definitely handy for later." After all if he could rewrite reality, he could bring back Magik, Erg, and Waverlys Mom.

Harry's eyes widened slightly, just barely enough for a very perceptive person so see his faux pas. He immediately lifted his mug up to his lips and began to quietly sip at the coffee as he watched Sapphire berate Casper for what appeared to be the least of their problems. All he could think to himself was booooy Sapphire was meeeessssyyyy. But he'd never voice that allowed. He didn't know her like that and wasn't in the underground long so it was best not to make enemies where he didn't need some. His eyes now averted towards the couple again, James gave him a look that clearly asked him to back off and so he did. Hands up as if in defeat, he took another sip of his coffee and looked at the only safe space, the ceiling.

It was cute, if not nauseating, how James defended Casper. Figures the boy with a healing factor would go after someone as broken as Casper with daddy issues to boot. It was the ultimate fixer upper, and all he wished was that he truly cared for him and wouldn't get bored after he's polished up and fixed. Ofcourse Harry couldn't stay in his thoughts forever, Veil finally coming back and leaving almost as fast. The weight of the world seemed to be trapped in those curls, and he only wished he could help her carry it. He wasnt exactly happy with the team leader however, still feeling there was more to this mornings incident than what had transpired. Placing his mug down, Harry crossed his arms and leaned against the edge of the table. "So whats the move Jack? How are we going to handle this?" He nodded towards the rest of his clones, signaling them all to come back. Without so much as a scene Harry pulled them back into himself as if it was another Friday night.

The days events had tired Maddy out, having gone into the bedroom and laid down on his side, watching Colby play with the cats. A smile remained on his face as he laid there and slowly faded to sleep. The following morning he was woken up, his back against the wall as he looked towards where Colby slept. The smile crept back on him as he watched how sweetly he slept, getting out quietly from his bed and going towards the extra where Carroll slept. He petted Carroll gently on the chin before making his way towards the shower. Matthew stopped a few feet away from it, looking himself in a mirror as he sighed slightly.

Part of him had wondered if it was a weird dream, if all of what had happened was nothing more than a delusion caused by bad Chinese food, or a fever dream brought on by the weather. But judging by where he was now it was clear that it wasn't some fantasy. He paced back and forth, his bare feet tapping against the cold hardwood floor as he debated on where to proceed. He wanted to shower, get cleaned up from the catacombs and the trekking, but then he risked being in a shower while Colby slept in the other room. His faced burned red as he turned on the shower and began to rid himself of the dead.

Salem's hand moved stealthily over his lips as Lilie began to spoke. Trying hard not to show his expression when she called out Max as not being a friend before everyone in the room. Knowing her there was no malice behind the words, and she quickly realised what had escaped her lips as Lilie began to backpeddle in an attempt to fix what wrong she had wrought. It wasn't often Salem was able to enjoy a train wreck as it was happening, most tended to stay poised and rattle gossip of others at these form of events rather than dig their own grave. It was, however, a major upset that the one to be doing so was Lilie of all people. Max he could see, or even yet count on, but it pained him to see someone he cared about dearly being put into such a situation. His eyes perked up as Madalyne spoke, breaking away from what had just transpired and moving the night along another path, he hoped.

He gave her a polite smile as always before speaking. "Well I did have years of medical training and it always helps to have some family in the field to some extent. Though financing sounds like an interesting choice. Don't sell yourself short, every job is important even waiting tables and knitting." Salem's eyes trailed the conversation over to Max, awaiting to see his response to Maddie and hoping he would ignore Lilie. Or would that be worse? Salem was unsure about which outcome would be worse for Lilie and then finally he spoke, a single word, one that carried weight and Salem sat and hoped it didn't do much damage to her. He wanted to excuse the pair and go out for air, see if she was alright and make sure that it was all in his head. As much as she worried for him he worried for her and settings like these were clearly not her forte. But Max continued, with what Salem hoped was a joke. Max? A therapist? He barely wants to listen to people speak let alone their issue. Unless he wanted to hear them so that he may laugh at it behind their backs.

Honestly Salem didn't know. Max was a bit of a mystery that he wished to figure out. One he felt he might have gotten closer to seeing tonight than in previous nights. The conversation was flowing as Lilie excused herself quietly and Salem watched her leave for the kitchen. "So a therapist? That would be interesting for you. Though have you ever considered the idea of being a professor at this school? I'm sure you'd do great in an academic scene. Learning, experimenting, and teaching magic to students all while holding some obscure metal object to keep the students guessing. Will he throw it? Shape it? Or is it simply a weight for core training?"
