Max's ears were thumping with the sounds of his own heart beating inside of them. Everyone's words were beginning to muffle to the sounds of his imminent death, but with James being so close Max could make out a few words. He heard him mention the betrayal of the crown and that's when he finally figured out what had most likely happened. There must've been a telepath, someone who could bring out those memories in James and make him believe the weirdness that was WandaWorld. But it was what James did next that fully gave Max pause. The threat he was given was more than enough to send a chill down his spine.

He could feel the briefest connection to James' heart when they touched. Enough to stave him away from death's door but nothing more. Max watched in horror as he walked away and the rest of the events unfolded before him. He took all the distraction to heal himself. Concentrating on what he'd done with Sunshine and feeling the magic mend a few of his wounds. Still, he was hurt, blood starting to get tacky on his skin and clothing. When Max spotted Miranda he felt a drop of hope. He didn't have the energy to bring Novikova here as well, but Miranda...The Queen; She could do it like she had to him. Max used his staff to make his way towards her, supporting his weight with the fragment of soul that solidified in his hand.

Max tried once more to get his powers to agree with him. He tried to connect to the moon or center himself. He wasn't fully sure which to do, but in his state he felt something shift. His powers began to radiate within him and he could feel them start to work. As if Jame's Omega healing and his small bit helped to jump start the process, pushing Max far past what he expected to be possible. When he finally made it to Miranda he whispered to her "We've got a Wandavisioned James here. I think someone did a number on his mind if you could help him like you did me...my queen."

Harry's heart sank as he saw Casper so desperately worried over Ben. There had been too many casualties already this day, and more than needed in a lifetime. Harry couldn't bear it if one of them had been by his own careless hand. He tried to approach Casper, stopping half a step in as he realized he didn't know what to say. After all Ben was a ghost right? He couldn't die. Still, there was worry within him as he began to think about it more and more. He was about to spiral in his own mind when he recalled something Casper had mentioned before.

"Casper." Harry said softly as he began to make his way towards the crying man. "Ben's probably relaxing in his Ghost Hawaii. He fought really hard here today, maybe he just needs to sip on ectoplasmic Mai Tais and regain his energy to be shown again you know?" Harry certainly didn't. He wasn't the biggest fan of horror, actively avoiding it when he could. But if anyone knew where his friend might be it would be Casper. And he had seemingly mentioned a vocational place for the eternal souls several times.

Maddie grinned a dopey grin as tears welled in his eyes. He released his father from the embrace and wiped them away before speaking. "I never gave up hope that I'd find you. As far as I can remember I've been searching for you, waiting for the day you'd return. The day you'd answer the riddle like no one else could." He pulled away slightly in order to fully see his dad again. To take in the sight as if he might lose him again. This time he'd make sure he didn't but even if it happened...he knew who he was and now knew what he looked like and could keep that memory for a lifetime.

Maddie nodded as Colby agreed to help them, he wasn't exactly sure what loose ends needed to be burned or cut, but whatever they were he didn't want to lose his father again. Not this soon. "Sounds like the first task in combating this Jafar guy is hiding any magical weapons and artifacts. Seems simple enough, though maybe after you can quickly clue us in on what's been going on and what loose ends need to be dealt with. After all, we're a family and family helps each other right?" Matt made his way over to Colby, still grinning as he laced his fingers into Colbys hand. "Babe. Take a breath, and end a sentence." He whispered towards him. It was cute seeing him so flustered. As much as he wished to see more, it was a lot of questions to throw at once.

Demetri could feel Zeke's eyes on him for a moment. Keeping his gaze away from the blonde Adonis until after he felt his eyes peel off of him. Once Cassian had entered the scene, Demi dared to steal a glance, hoping that some of that remorse Zeke was feeling would be slowly leaving by now. They really couldn't have a happy moment could they? He looked upwards towards the sky for a moment, wondering if Aphrodite was enjoying this. It was a messy triangle of will they won't they, spattered with drama to fill the ages. Demetri hadn't fully been listening to what Cassian had to say, more so lost in his own thoughts as he slowly made his way closer to Zeke and the rest so as to not wander too far.

Cassian gave Zeke a shrug. He didn't have all the answers, hell he didn't have any answers besides the ones just given. Apollo's kid had offered the idea of spilling enough blood to wake Gaia and Cass hadn't even considered that as an option. But before he could say anything Zeke seemed to catch another conversation as the Romans approached the fire and Chiron. It appeared that they had been deliberating on this very subject. One of them was attacked by the same force and their secrecy seemed to set Zeke off the edge.

Demetri jumped back into the present as he saw anger rise in Zeke. A part of him wished to pull Zeke back, calm him down; another found it extremely attractive in an odd way, but mostly his heart twisted to see him go through so much in such a little amount of time. From the happiness he saw moments before, towards racking guilt, and now searing anger...it was a lot.
Demi took a careful step towards Zeke, thanking the gods Mary was a bit more leveled with her response. "You're right Zeke, and gods I hate to say that. They should've told us sooner, but infighting isn't going to help us solve this problem."

Cassian watched this all from afar, thinking until the pieces seemed to click together. Whether he was correct or not he had no idea. But stories his mother had told him flooded his mind and if he was correct. He made his way towards Zeke and the rest and placed himself between the child of Apollo and the Roman woman. "Even a broken clock is right every once in a while. Demetri has a point, and to that end it was something you said Zeke that triggered thus thought. What if they are looking to shed demigod blood? To awaken Gaia and bring back their old master? Sure, having the Greeks fight amongst themselves might get a little scuffle here and there. But the greatest wars were between the Romans and the Greeks. It's why we were separated. We need to band together to stop our enemy. And to keep a new war from arising." Cassian looked pleadingly at Zeke, then pointedly at Madalyne. "That means no more secrets. You are under our care and in our home. If one of your Romans are attacked you are to report it directly to Chiron, then whomever you see fit on your end. But we cannot have anymore of this."

Max took a sharp turn to look towards James as he spoke. Odds of survival? Terminate the source? What the hell was he on about? Something had changed in James, switched like a Jekyll and Hyde situation. Before Max could continue his line of thoughts, the hoard of ghosts center clattering towards Harry and was forcing the boy band to push closer and closer to Casper, losing footing along the way. Zari was being assaulted as her weapon was tugged at, and everyone else was having to deal with these spirits in some way or another. Selene agreed with Jame's notion and Max's heart sank to his stomach. That wasn't a source it was his boyfriend and when the coast seemed clear enough, Max would have to figure out what happened to James between this morning and now.

"We aren't killing him. And we aren't stripping him of his powers either" Max said sternly, giving both Selene and James a very pointed look as he chimed in alongside Sunshine. "Let's deal with the ghosts and then we can figure out how to calm down his powers." As if things couldn't go any worse, Marrow was struck hard with her own bones, Sunshine barreling towards her in fear but for now she appeared to be doing fine. Hopefully with her healing she would be fine for just absent longer. Now more than ever Max wanted to rid them of these pests.

Andy seemed to pick up the words just fine, helping to exercise the spirits though rather slowly. They needed to speed things up. Max held onto his soulstaff, clanging the bottom onto the ground as he began to recite the words once more. "Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica. Ergo, omnis legio diabolica, adiuramus te... cessa decipere humanas creaturas, eisque æternæ perditionìs venenum propinare... Vade, satana, inventor et magister omnis fallaciæ, hostis humanæ salutis... Humiliare sub potenti manu Dei; contremisce et effuge, invocato a nobis sancto et terribili nomine... quem inferi tremunt... Ab insidiis diaboli, libera nos, Domine. Ut Ecclesiam tuam secura tibi facias libertate servire, te rogamus, audi nos"

His vision was becoming speckled with black dots that danced across his sight. He could feel the blood starting to drip out of his eyes, nose, and ears as the seventh ghost disappeared. Max turned his attention towards the ones attacking Harry, continuing the Latin chant as two more disappeared. By now his clothing was becoming drenched in blood. His soulstaff was functioning more as a way to hold him up than to channel his magic, and the words he was speaking were beginning to weaken as he fought to stay up. Max slowly made his way towards James, hoping the old him was still in there somehow. "James...please...heal me."

Things were going downhill and quick. Echo had expected a fee attacks here and there, but the amount of them rushing towards him was almost too much. They tried firing back, blocking, and just keeping them from getting past but every movement caused them to take a step back. Before Echo knew it, their heel had hit Caspers body and there was hardly any space left to move. They looked around amd saw how busy everyone else was, fighting their own battles. They cursed silently to themselves as they decided they had to push back on their own.

Echo sent out a wide blast of lights, managing to miss everyone with the first Barrage. He exhaled, launching his hand forward and blasting one ghost, allowing them to move forward even if just a little bit. The clones nodded and each blasted a ghost themselves. Now there was a bit more room to maneuver, especially as Max cleared away some more. But when Harry looked towards his former roommate, things appeared to be far worse. "Uh, James. Max looks like he needs some serious attention stat." After all, James was the only mutant around capable of helping him, and Harry knee nothing of Jame's alter ego.

Max cocked his head as Zari tried to, what he could only assume was, exercise a ghost. As usual she muttered out a lot of random nonsense he didn't understand, and the words that she spoke weren't the incantations he knew. Sure enough however, she managed to make one vanish in a fit of smoke. The room erupted in chaos as ghosts pulled and tugged at everyone around them. Selene was eating them, Pixie stabbed them, Andy shocked them and Maria tried her best to control them using Caspers powers. He silently thanked himself for bringing her along, seeing just how useful she was in a pinch.

"Alright. Those who can't fight against ghosts listen closely. Avoid the tentacle one that's Ben. He's a friend and I'll kick your ass if he's hurt or expelled. I'm gonna try and get yall some help." Max said through choked words as a ghost went up and grabbed him by his throat. He began to try and Conjure some salt, only managing to get two containers of Morton Salt. Next he tried to make some tape recorders of him saying the chant, but his powers fizzled out. He cursed to himself silently, looking over and seeing as James was being clawed at by the spectral enemies.

Fuck How could he have forgotten he bound James? Max waved his hand and the chains undid from James. He poured some salt into his hand and began to exercise. "Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica. Ergo, omnis legio diabolica, adiuramus te... cessa decipere humanas creaturas, eisque æternæ perditionìs venenum propinare... Ut Ecclesiam tuam secura tibi facias libertate servire, te rogamus, audi nos" As he threw the salt and said the final word, the ghost gripping him vanishes and Max clutched his neck.

"Ok magic isn't agreeing with me today. Sunshine heads up!" Max tossed one of the containers of salt to her. "You have better aim, Draw a circle around you to keep them at bay, I'm gonna try and get some cheats for you to exercise them." Max made his way over to James to help him up. "Sorry about that, the situation didn't look too great and we'll for a moment...nevermind."

Harry had no idea how to handle what he was seeing. Ghosts were everywhere, wails were piercing the air, and a Wan just got torn apart by a haunting of spirits. He went to speak and felt the familiar tug of his voice again. Making a finger gun motion, Harry shot at one of the ghosts and pushed it backwards, showing him he could still handle them like normal. Good. Harry tried a full out assault, shooting lasers to see if he could hit as many as possible much how he'd done with the clones, but in all his lights he managed to strike Ben and send him down. "Shit! Ben!"
"Are you fucking with me?" "I know! I've got it!"

Harry and the boys bolted towards Casper, surrounding him outside the circle of salt Max had created and standing guard over Casper and Ben. It was his mess now and he needed to clean it up. Each clone stood by in defensive stance, waiting and watching to beam any ghost that dared to approach them. None of them, including Harry, were sure of how effective they'd be as a front line, but they were all Ben and Casper had at this moment, and there were enough of them to handle and surround the pair. "Just. Focus on the rest. I'll watch over them."

Maddie ignored Tinks warnings about messing with the cats. In part due to the sinking feeling he had from having one of the only two things his father left him taken from him. The second reason was much simpler, he didn't view the cats as a threat like the others did. There was a familiarity to them, something tugging at his heart and mind telling him he was close to home, but he couldn't quite figure out what it was. They weren't the Cheshire, but perhaps his litter as he had thought. All Maddie could do is wait and hope they brought back the hat unharmed.

When the door finally opened he watched as a massive cat turned into a human, followed by another man holding his hat within his hands, and finally a woman. Maddies jaw practically dropped at the display of magic, but also at the thought that perhaps he was finally getting to meet his dad. He'd spent years thinking of what to say to his father, what his first words would be, and now he had the chance to say it. The words he'd practiced on so many others, on every adult who crossed his path as he waited for his father to return. He looked the man in the eyes and spoke. "Why is a raven like a writing desk?"

There was a small pause as the man looked at Maddie, his mouth curling into a small smile before answering him. "Because, they can produce few notes, though they are very flat; and it's never put with the wrong end up front." The words rolled off as if the final line was more so a thought said out loud. Maddie's eyes began to swell with tears as he heard the words he'd been waiting for his entire life. No Edgar Allan Poe, no laughing it off as a cute nonsensical question of a child, just a genuine answer to match him. Maddie ran towards the man with the hat, wrapping his hands around his waist and giving him a tight hug as if he might disappear. "D-dad"

Demetri dug the toe of his shoe into the dirt, thinking about what Stella had said. They were family after all. He tried not to think about it too much, it helped feeling close to Andy and Arthur. Helped to build those bonds, but if he wanted anything more than that with anyone… He looked back towards Zeke who still seemed to be inside his own head. Demi chewed on his lower lip a bit, anxiously wondering what he could do to help the situation, to make him feel better, but nothing came to mind for what he could do right now.

He watched as Mary dropped the vines, relief rushing over him as he let out a sigh. Demi wasn't sure if he'd have to help Zeke out of them or not, and he was glad to not have to go through the trouble. His eyes briefly glanced over towards the box that Zeke had thrown to the ground, debating if he should pick it up or not. Stella had left, leaving him without his scapegoat as the four of them were still together and waiting as if any could turn at any moment. Demetri didn't know what to say, or what he could say or do at this moment. It was the hardest them keeping this secret had ever been.

Cassian walked with haste alongside Annabelle. As they began to close in on the fires of the camp, he'd all but forgotten what started this all. There seemed to be a bit of commotion going on ahead and his pace quickened, nodding to Annabelle as she asked him to check on the group that was a bit further from the fire. Cass broke into a brisk jog, slowing down just before reaching Marygold and looking out towards the others, catching the tail end of what she was saying. By the looks of it, they'd just been attacked in some way.

"I may be able to help with that actually. Just had a lengthy conversation with someone from the Hecate Cabin about this. After I left the fire earlier I began to hear Whispers surrounding me, the air got colder and I saw a shadowy figure looming in the distance before I ran into Annabelle. As soon as we entered the cabin the feeling disappeared. We think this…being is an Eidolon. A former servant of Gaia I think she said? Either way they're bad news so we came back to see if we can find them and maybe kick them out if even possible." Cassian was typically one to talk with his hands, gesticulating wildly as he spoke. But for the moment only one hand was free to do so as the other gripped his panflute in preparation for a fight if one were to happen.

Max saw the bloodstone located on the hilt of Pixie's dagger, noting that his staff had no such gems. A knot formed inside his stomach as worry quickly overcame him, crashing like a wave before receding back into the depths of his mind. That was a problem for later. For now, Max smiled towards Maria, offering to stay and help out instead of heading back home. "Thanks I appreciate it. Selene, if you feel you have Hellfire Manor under control then I'll take Maria and any who wish to come elsewhere to continue the fight. I'm sure others need our help."

Max tried to think of who to contact, Veils team was up high last he saw them, and his fear of heights would do him no good there. If he tried contacting Sunshine, she'd kick his ass for insisting she needed help knowing full well she had anything handled. It felt selfish, but he wanted to speak to James, his closest friend on this island. He needed to make sure he was ok. "Hey, I'm glad I got a hold of you. How are things at your end? Everything going smoothly? I have Maria here to help us out." "Who-" Suddenly there was silence. Max's heart dropped to his stomach as he tried to figure out what had happened.

Either James didn't recognize him, or he was attacked and made to break off his communication. Max tapped the bottom of his staff onto the ground, a loud resonating sound coming from the impact as a portal opened up to James. Throw wide the gates "Change of plans. James needs our help" The scene before him was like something out of a nightmare. Countless ghosts were wailing and screaming creating a deafening sound. James held Casper by the throat, his body hanging limp in his grasp while a silver lady recoiled at the ghostly invaders. Max didn't have time to ask what was going on, so he needed to make the time.

Either James had gone crazy or Casper had, but either way they needed to be separated for the time being. Max conjured magical chains, similar to the ones used to trap the president back in House of M, wrapping them around his wrists and waist before pulling them back and separating the two. He then held out one arm towards Casper as a salt ring began to form and encircle his body to help keep the ghosts at bay. "Ben! James! What the hell is going on here? Who's friend? who's foe? And more importantly can you step aside so I can try and perform a mass exorcism?"

Sadly, Harry had no other words for Sunshine. He was struggling to find words for himself as is. There was an unspoken future that he had seen for Waverly. Something outside of the vigilante work and risk of death. Her skillset was undoubtedly unique, as was her personality. But he didn't have the luxury of time to deal with her death right now. As soon as he mentioned helping others the craft began to move towards a new location. It seemed to be able to feel intent, and it was taking them towards their next stand. Oddly enough, Harry hoped it had a punching bag for Sunshine to take her anger out on.

When they arrived they were atop Hellfire Manor. An audience of mutants scattered below looking as if they were waiting for something horrific to happen. Harry made his way off the ship, his clones following suit as he nodded towards Callie. "Agreed." He went for the rooftop access, pulling on it only to find it was locked. Annoyed, Harry rolled his eyes and snapped his fingers, a large blast coming down and blowing the door right off. "Let's go." Harry and the Boys made their way down and saw as Casper lay on the ground, blue energy surrounding him, James was being held back, Max was entering through a portal, and ghosts attacked a silver woman.

She must've been the one to fight. The reason for all this chaos. After all she fit the bill for the ones they'd fought before. Echo went to assault her, about to call her out for who she was when suddenly she turned towards him and uttered him to be quiet. His voice died inside his throat and he couldn't speak. He gave Barry a pleading look and he understood what to do. Barry gave a sharp whistle and a laser appeared right before the silver mistress, knocking her back and into solid masses of ghosts. In all truth, it was a horrifying sight.

Maddie's shoulders lowered slightly as the girl had chosen not to believe them. His fingers gripped the edge of the fabric by his side, finding purchase on a leather belt and simply wringing it between his forefinger and thumb, frustration running through him. He watched as Colby began to speak towards the cats, their reactions seeming more like they were following orders than actually wishing to harm them. Thoughts swirled in Maddie's mind and he came to an odd conclusion. What if these are all Colby's siblings and that girl is either his sister or Maddie's

Maddie's hands made their way up towards the brim of his hat, gently grabbing it as he contemplated if he was crazy for doing this. He removed it from atop his head, slowly squatting down and gently moving it towards one of the magical cats. It sniffed the hat, giving pause as it recognized the scent that was sealed into the fibers of the hat, snatching it out of his hands and running towards the stairs. Maddie took half a step forward and the cats leaned towards him, a low growl emanating through the room as the thriving cat disappeared up towards the girl. "Tha-Thats my...hat…"

Demi's eye returned to normal once the grip was broken free. His natural electric blue eye showed through as he stood there eye wide open and gasping for breath. He'd hardly noticed the shadows that had rescued him once more, seemingly kicking in as a subconscious defense mechanism at the moment. It took him a moment to hear the words Stella was speaking. Stuck in a state of shock as he stared at her blankly for a moment before letting out a few raspy words. "I'll be fine…" He looked away, towards the ground knowing his eye would betray him.

Demetri's hand reached up towards his neck slowly, feeling the stinging heat from where it had been gripped before looking at Zeke with both worry and fear. All of that seemed to melt away however as he saw Zeke's demeanor change. He recognized it too well, something he battled with himself. Demi took a few shaky breaths, his hand twitching forward as he wished to go up and hug Zekez to tell him it was fine. He stood up, looking towards the son of Apollo. "Don't beat yourself, you were possessed like Lauryn so no sweat. But...you'll have to make it up to me and heal me later so it doesn't bruise OK? Still gotta finish this one." He said holding up his arm to show the scratches left from the cut Lauryn had given him.

Tonight had served to grant Demi with more questions than answers. The prophecies hadn't even been spoken yet and already two campers had gotten possessed, weird shadows had come to his aid, Zeke complemented him in an almost loving way, and now they were stuck in a position where they couldn't talk about what happened without an audience present. Demi let out a sigh, holding his hand out to help Stella back up. "Not sure we've met yet. Names Demi, or Demetri, or whatever really. Thanks for...ya know...caring about me back there."

Cassian sat back in his chain, a pensive finger placed upon his chin. "Well...if they do hate gods and their children, then chances are they could be hanging around the campfire. I didn't hear or spot them until I was alone and began to move away from it, but if there are any other campers roaming near the periphery like I was...that might be where we'll find them." He didn't like to think of what could've been happening since he left. Since he took his eyes off of the shadowy figure. If the cabin wasn't warded, then perhaps their avoidance was the children of Hecate after all. Fear that they'd be banished down to where they came.

Cassian finished his cup and placed it down. Looking towards Anabelle with determination in his eyes. "If they are roaming about then we can't very well waste time here. Not that I didn't appreciate the drink and conversation, but perhaps we should check on the campers by the fire and then see if anyone's spotted anything odd since then or noticed any campers go off on their own? Not sure how good my music will hold up against these creatures, but I'll try my best given I'm not equipped with a quiver and bow at the moment."
