Demi's face flushed red as Zeke explained he had temporary hearing loss. He'd felt so confident and suave only moments ago and it quickly deflated and left room in for embarrassment as he took on what just happened. He looked away from Zeke, gazing upon the water as he tried to collect himself. On one hand, Zeke cared enough about what he had to say to try and read his lips even in this dim lighting. On the other had, what must he be thinking now that Demi just kissed him seemingly unprovoked all due to a massive misunderstanding. He ran his free hand against the nape of his neck, feeling awkward.

Demetri only turned to face Zeke when he asked about Arthur and Andy. It was true that they were going on a quest the next day, and it was something that Demi had been running through his mind in the background of all this. But it all seemed to point towards the same answer. "I think that's exactly why it's best for them to spend the night together. At the end of the day they're going to miss each other's company far more than mine. I think this might be the first time that they've had to be separated since Camp started." Demi was having a hard time looking Zeke directly in the eye. Scanning pasts him every once in a while. "I'd rather not spend the night alone. But I think this would be good for them both."

Cassian was surprised to hear Kiera calling out to him and wishing him a good night. He gave her a polite wave back, though probably not as enthusiastically. He held his thumb, pointer and middle finger outstretched as he made a singular downward motion accompanied by a smile. "Have a good night, get some rest you two." He was trying to recall who all was chosen for a quest, figuring one of those two had likely been, though he doubted either would actually let the other sleep tonight. Tonight's mood still hung heavy on his chest, looking towards the fire and the faces lit up in its wake. The campers formed lines as they got checked out by the Hecate kids. It seemed bleak, but tomorrow dawned a new day and with it held hope.

Cassian decided that perhaps this was why he hadn't been chosen for any of the grand quests. His place was here in the camp where he could keep an ear to the ground and have the creatures of the woods help him see what others might miss. This camp was his home just as much as the one where his mother resided, and he needed to do what he could to protect it. Cassian made his way into one of the lines, shuffling along as they went step by step. Having seen the procedure enough times by the time he had gone up there, he followed suit to what he'd seen and was quickly cleared to go back to his cabin. He didn't spot his siblings anywhere, but hoped they were doing well.

Maddie frowned slightly as Colby responded. Whatever he was thinking, it was clear he didn't want their parents to hear. He could hear a voice in the back of his head just saying how Colby was most likely going to scold him for the display of affection in front of their dads. But the rest of him managed to push the thought back and decide it was silly to even think so. At the mention of lunch, Maddies stomach began to growl. He hadn't noticed it, but they hadn't had any food in a long while. The desert heat didn't help any with making him thirsty, and the cat chase only helped to further the hunger.

He gripped his stomach, eyeing what was now known as a cursed deck of explosive cards, as he took a step back. "Lunch sounds amazing right now. I could go for some tea and a good sandwich. ...Or whatever they serve in this realm" A part of him wanted to ask if he and the others could freshen up first, mostly as an excuse to pick Colbys brain. But his stomach was protesting the idea as they all decided on what place to hit next for food before they planned out their big heist in Jafar's palace. Thinking it out loud, it sounded more adventurous by the second.

Max stood slightly, brushing off some of the crumbs that gathered on his lap as he used his staff for support. "Well, I neeed you. That part is obvious. Someone who can channel and interact with the souls. James, to fix the body in its entirety so that it's in working condition. Callie to help jump-start the electrical pulses in the body and give the brain a good Ole bzzt. And then someone with magic to bind the sound back into its form and allow the being back to life. Normally I'd say me but perhaps Pixie could help out too? She knows soooo much, I can talk to my sugar daddy if that's what you wanna call it, and see if he has any books on binding or something. Should be fun!"

Not long after Max had explained it all to Casper and Kristina, Maria rounded the corner. He was hopeful that he could pay back her kindness with the gift of life and try to bring back Kris. "May need a drop of blood from Maria. I dunno, but in the event I do its best to have that basis covered." Max's head felt light, though parts of his body seemed to weigh more than ever. His eyes felt heavy, as well as his nose, and lower lip. He was visibly trying to cling to the staff with his lost hand as well, the phantom limb taking a hold over his already weakened state.

Barry bounded around the corner as he headed back towards Harry, James, and the others. Andy was noticeably missing, but Harry simply shook his head towards him. Barry pulled the hand out from behind his back, pointing at it, and then James, and then past them all to indicate Max. Harry rolled his eyes, and motioned with them towards the inside of the room. Barry finally decided to read the room and realised perhaps now wasn't the best moment to be vying for Jame's attention. There was a moment of silence between the pair, a beat of sadness as they heard the number of mutants lost to this ridiculous crusade. Would nowhere truly be safe for them?

Harry listened intently to what James had to say. Every word was filled with experience. Someone who'd lived it time and time again. He'd only joined recently and even he saw how quickly a paradise could crumble. He thought about the light in Max's eyes as he tried to make the Underground a home with his magic, the sweat that was put in by Cayden and James in patching the electricals so they had light, every member poured their heart into a home and it was all taken in a single day. He knew they moved around, but seeing how forcefully it happened helped him understand. For a moment, Harry wondered if the Hellfire Club had ever had to handle such changes. To have that form of opposition to your ideals that your world can flip in a single day. As Magneto came towards them Harry knew that if anyone understood it would be him. The pain he must be feeling at this moment.

Again Demi found Zeke looking at his lips. Once by the fire and now again while in the midst of an argument. He couldn't understand what was going on with him, here he was, the moonlight shining softly in his hair and telling him they had an agreement, all while getting moments ago was staring at his lips. He wanted to say something, to scream or yell, but Zeke caught him off guard as he gently caressed his neck. All thought of the marks had left Demetris mind. All he knew was that Zeke had just brushed his fingertips in the most tender way across his neck after eyeing his lips. Demi's heart pounded so loud that he could hear it in his ears. Anxiety swelling up inside him as he looked at his periphery and noted how alone they both were.

Without thought, Demi took a step forward. Closing what small distance they had between them until their noses were barely touching. He leaned in and gave Zeke a tender kiss and quickly pulled back. "You've been eyeing my mouth all night mate. If you wanted to steal a kiss you could've just asked." His heart was still pounding in his ribs as one hand reached for Zeke's and gently tugged at his pants pockets as if to signal he wanted to hold hands. Demi let out a breath he hadn't realised he was holding before speaking again. "I care about you too dumbass. Which is why I want you to feel comfortable around me too." He noticed Zeke's ears perking up, even now he managed to make him smile. Demetri traced the edges of Zeke's ear with his free hand until he reached the bottom. "You're cute when you smile, you know? Your ears perk up and even with you looking away I can still tell because of it." His eyes lingered on the son of Apollo for a moment before he continued. "I was gonna ask Andy if she wanted to spend the night in Hades cabin so she can spend time with Arthur before tomorrow. I'd be all alone in Zeus Cabin...if you wanted to...talk, ya know?"

It was no surprise to Cassian that the Harpy denied his aid. After all, physical wounds could heal, but the ones left behind by mental tampering tended to linger for longer. Still, he acted according to what information he had and if anyone was going to threaten them again, he'd do the same. Once the Harpy had flown away, his attention was pulled by the commotion that had been caused by the snake. Had he not been so preoccupied at the time he probably could've helped deal with it. After all he was a friend to all animals and took great pride in his ability to handle them. He'd often heard jokes about how if Pan and Dionysus ever had time to get together that it'd form a merry friendship full of lifelong parties.

Though Cassian wasn't the most fond of those ideals, he did enjoy the nature side to the god. While his father grew vines with rich fruits and versatile uses, the Satyrs were capable of using their magic to help make them flourish and grow. Cassian's hand drifted softly towards his panflute, thinking about the nature magic the children of Pan wielded and how often times he wished he could do the same. He assumed that was why his father had gifted him the panflute in the first place. The scene appeared to be dying down all around him, campers making their way towards the children of Hecate as they were checked for possession and it made him wonder. Would this be enough?

Max watched with a hint of disappointment as Andy had ignored his call for sweets. Taking another bite of the cookie as he continued to watch everything that was unfolding before him. Casper was glowing blue once again as he channeled the ghost of Kris. He felt a tinge of sadness, but it didn't delve much further than that. He chalked it up to having hardly known the girl, wishing that witnessing so much death wasn't hardening his soul in any way. He continued to nibble at the edges of the treat when suddenly he stopped. Pixie had said something that caused his ears to perk up and his eyes to widen.

Max shifted slightly in his seat, straightening his back for a moment as he held out his arm and waved the cookie towards Pixie. "I knew I liked you for a reason. See? I said the saaaaame thing. Got it all planned out for the most part. Just need a few people is all and then boom resurrection complete!" Max threw his arms up into the air as if to accentuate his point. His arms slowly came back down as his shoulders slumped and he looked down the hallway. "I think Maria really needs you Kris, I wouldn't mind trying to bring you back. I'm sure it'll be fiiine."

Most of the clones now had bloody knuckles and bruised toes, but it felt good to get some of the stress of the day out on an immovable agent from the cursed Vault. They didn't dare use their powers for fear of what might happen. At times they were useful and capable of dealing with the foes at hand, but other times they lead to unknown consequences like what happened with Ben. Every hit and kick against the cyborg was full of purpose. For every injured mutant, every fallen comrade, all the innocent blood that had been spilt in the name of the Vault. By the time the cyborg began to malfunction the clones had freely stepped aside to let those who may know how to handle it do so. Watching as Selene ate the bomb like a werthers original. Terry caught Zari messing with the head out of the corner of his eye, Barry being too preoccupied trying to figure out how to hold a dismembered hand appropriately, while Larry and Jerry had begun to inspect their wounds. Terry's voice echoed in the now silent hall towards Zari as he saw the pool of darkened red liquid oozing out of the partially decapitated neck. "Hey watch it kid. My buddy Rosco got splattered by that hydraulic stuff and he had a rash for a week! So...maybe put some gloves on or something? I don't know." Barry turned to see the mess and immediately turned back around "Ok. I'm out, the amount of blood or blood looking things we've seen in less than an hour has been more than enough for a lifetime. Hell's we have a whole upper floor full of dead bodies to deal with now and there's still the matter of..." The other three clones looked at him as if cautioning him not to speak further, afraid Harry might somehow overhear and be reminded of Waverlys passing.

As the gunshot went off Harry couldn't help but to try and spin I'm front of Andy. It was all pure instinct as if the bullet couldn't somehow go through him and into her. But as long as he could cushion the blow to save a child...But that moment never came. Eyes closed, pressed tight and hands clenched, Harry waited for an impact that never came. Polaris had stopped the projectile and immediately he looked up, opening his eyes as he saw past everyone and saw his sister from afar. It felt almost selfish, putting himself between death and life and teetering the notion of leaving his twin alone in the world with another soul lost. He stood there shaking for a while, until Andy spoke up and he tried to place a calm hand on her shoulder. "Yeah kid, I think it's over for now. We should all regroup and rest. Clean-up will surely come soon"

Maddie sensed a bit of tension in Colby as the situation was explained. A very small shift in the way they were holding each other, as if a bit of tension was beginning to fill him. He looked towards Colb with a concerned smile, pushing a stray hair off to the side before planting a small kiss onto his cheek. "Hey, what's wrong. You're awfully quiet for once." He said hoping a slight joke would help to alleviate the mood. Though what he hadn't expected was for his dad to come towards them and set the cards off to the side like that. He eyed the deck out of his periphery and looked back towards his father.

"Are they gamblers cards or something? Though I don't really know how you'd load a car unless it's like a trick deck that can change suits to help the player?" As far as he could tell they seemed like a normal deck, but they way his father looked at them you'd think they were cursed or something. Then again he was the Mad Hatter, and even more so they were in a magical land with genies thanks to a curse placed upon the realms that ended up sending several children to a horrid orphanage in Kansas. So perhaps the deck was best left alone.

Demetri went to pull the box in a little closer as Zeke frowned towards him. There was an unsettling amount of room for it to move when he noticed the shadows shifting and that they were now formed over by Arthur. Chocolate clearly knew a few tricks, though the brief anxiety it gave Demetri would linger for a moment longer. He wasn't sure what to think. Sure. Zeke was here asking him if he was ok, how he was doing, but it felt more like an afterthought than a real concern. His hand clutched the box tightly, hearing the wood creak slightly from the pressure. He took in a deep breath, held it, and let it out slowly. He wasn't an afterthought, that was just his anxiety speaking. Zeke cared for him, or at least he hoped. In any case, this didn't seem like the appropriate location to have this conversation. There were still too many campers around, and there was a lot that Demi wanted to say. Or so it felt.

Demetri stood up from his seat, looking at Zeke. "Maybe we should bring this conversation somewhere else. I don't feel comfortable talking out here." He said as he tucked the box under one arm, his free hand clutching his arm loosely. Zeke continued to sit, and Demi simply rolled his eyes. The anger came back to him as he reached down and grabbed Zeke's wrist and pulled him off the seat. He began to walk towards the beach line, a usually private bank of sand that allowed them a bit more of the privacy that he wanted. On their way out they were stopped by some of the Hecate kids, Zeke was inspected and allowed through, but Demetri had to stand back for a moment as they tried once again. Nervousness settled inside of him, wondering if those shadows were reason for a second search.

With luck however, they eventually waved him through and he took hold of Zeke's wrist once more. Practically dragging the child of Apollo until they reached a private section on the sand. He stopped in his tracks, not facing Zeke for a moment until he finally worked the nerve up to turn around. "You don't know where to go from here? Really?! You think I have any bloody clue!" Demi let go of Zeke's wrist, his eye watering. "I don't care that you nearly killed me, I don't care that it's your hands imprinted onto my neck, what I care about is that you just left and ran back to herI. How do you think that makes me feel? Do you think it feels good to be someone's second thought? You want to know where to go from here then you've got to tell me where you want it to end up because at this point I don't know anymore. I just..."

Demi cut himself off, his words choking up inside his throat as if trying to remind him to breathe. He took half a step forward, then one back as he looked at Zeke in his entirety. "I'm sorry. It's not fair to you that I act like this. You said it from the beginning but...I can't help it at times."

Cassian huffed in mild annoyance as the Harpy managed to toss a grape straight into one of the pipes for his panflute. Regardless of the fact that the Harpy had taken Stella to the skies, everyone seemed to be giving him the odd look as if he wasn't simply trying to defend another camper. But he to admit, this whole Eidolon business had him on edge. He himself was moments away from potentially having been possessed, and he hated to think what the forces of Gaia could do if they had his powers. Cass let out a long sigh as he shook his head and pinched the bridge of his nose. He started making his way towards the Harpy, seeing Kiera already beginning to bandage her up.

Cassian held his hand out to help the Harpy up, the golden hue leaving his eyes as his hold over her fell to the wayside. "Sorry about that. I'm just...a little on edge thanks to all the talk of spirits possessing others. So when I saw someone snag a camper I panicked. Hope there's no hard feeling?" Once the Harpy was able to be on her foot again, Cassian pulled out his flute, staring down the pipe the grape was stuck in and sighing once more. He bet Dionysus never had these problems. He placed his lips to one end and blew as hard as he could, dislodging the grape as it flew straight towards the ground.

Demi turned as Zeke responded, a small smile threatening to overtake him. He kept it choked down, both for appearances as well in an attempt to keep his irritation. It was long before the attempt was no longer needed however, as Zeke leaned forward and kissed Janelle on the cheek. He couldn't help but see red, as if Zeke Was purposefully trying to upset him. Sure the choking wasn't his doing, but between leaving his gifts in the slush, immediately going to Janelle for comfort, and now kissing her. It was enough to make Demetri forget about all the rest Zeke had done today. Having literally taken hits for him, complimented him, all briefly forgotten with a simple kiss. Demi turned to look away, not even daring to give the son of Apollo a response to his comeback.

Demetri almost didn't recognize that he was being spoken to. Stewing in his thoughts until he felt a pair of eyes looking at him and realised that Zeke was talking to him. He tried to ignore him, keeping his eyes forward, before his shoulders eventually slumped and he let out a short sigh. Demi turned to look at Zeke, his eyes still red and slightly watery. "Sure. I've got a min." He watched as Zeke fiddled with his ear before giving him a concerned look. "You gonna come and sit down or do you want me to stand? Or?..."

Cassian sat in contemplation as others had begun to scatter from the arena, a foul taste most likely clinging to their mouths. He leaned back against his seat, turning a watchful gaze at those who were summoned by the gods to fulfill three prophecies to retrieve the weapons of those at war. He wasn't looking for any reason in particular, so much as finding himself falling to old habits of watching others from afar when he needed space to think. Something about mindlessly looking at another person just helped so much with organizing his thoughts in a way he needed. But far be it for this camp to have a dull moment. Before his very eyes he watched as a Harpy swooped down and picked up one of the new kids that was also in the group of nine.

Cassian spared no time getting out from his seat as he unclipped his panflute from his side. The new girl appeared to have handled herself well enough to get free from the Harpies grasp, but Cass was still willing to lend a hand if needed. He tried to gauge the Harpy, seeing as to why it attacked her. He tried to give creatures the benefit of the doubt, assume they were confused or scared or something along those lines, but he could see no such things in this one. He grit his teeth and put his flute up towards his lips and began to play a melody. The sound was smooth and jaunty like a tune you'd hear from an animated movie as someone was waking up.

Grape vines began to wriggle out from beneath the ground. Lazily at first, but then with a burst of speed as they reached up towards the Harpy and tangled her in vines. Just as swiftly as they had emerged, so too did they coil downwards. Receding back into the earth as the tangled mass slammed the Harpy down. Unfortunately for Cassian, the Harpy turned to him and began cackling as she pulled some grapes off the vines and threw them at his eyes. Clearly it was a younger beast, more inclined to pranks than having any malicious intent. But Cass was irked, and his eyes shown a brilliant gold. The song changed into something a bit more chaotic, not unlike The Russian Saber Dance, as he played into her a prank of his own. For a short while all her motions would be reversed. Surely it would be fun to watch as she attempted to fly only to feel herself falter.

Watching his wound begin to heal was both wonderful and disgusting all at once. Seeing the flesh crawl and wrap itself around the massive wound as James tried his best to help fix his mistake. Max let out a small sigh of both relief and annoyance as Zari ran towards trouble. "Thanks." He had tried to give them time, to recuperate and plan but here they were, a group of mutants running towards their death as if two of their own hadn't just had a run in with it. Max put on a brave face, taking in a deep breath, and letting it out. "I think I'll be fine James." Max took one step forward, wishing to join the fight, and the room began to spin all around him. His head became light as he gripped onto the wall and allowed himself to slide down it gently.

He'd lost a lot of blood in a short amount of time. Between the fight against the silver psychic, the evil squidward, and now the loss of his hand, Max was losing consciousness quickly. He weakly moved his hand, a spark of magic barely managing to fizzle out of him as a small box of half a dozen sugar cookies appeared. There was a weak chuckle, taking one of the cookies out as he stared at it before taking a bite. "Just like the blood banks. Lose a little blood, get a bit of cookie. Hey, hey Andy. Cookies! You should try one" Max leaned his head against the wall as he nibbled at the sugar cookie. He wasn't really sure why they always had them at the blood banks, but clearly it was supposed to help.

Harry couldn't do more than watch helplessly as James worked his powers. Watching as he pulled out the massive steak from Andy's stomach, the amount of blood that came forth before finally being sealed up and healed. Harry gave a nod towards his clones, to go find the intruder and help dispatch them. They ran down the hall, listening for the sounds of fighting and managed to grab Zari speaking as well as Magento. As they bounded around the corner Barry was able to spot Max's hand laying next to the still cyborg. It felt like a risk, but he figured his old roommate may want it back. Barry bolted forward, grabbing the lifeless limb. "Gross gross gross gross gross gross" Barry went past the cyborg unsure of what to do.

The others saw the opportunity and took it. From what little they could gather, Zari had done some sort of hacking thing to stop the enemy. How? He had no idea. He saw no wires, no computers near-by, the only thing he really knew about hacking was that sometimes it was a Unix system and that meant a small girl could easily hack it with the click of a few mouse buttons. Granted Zari fit that description, so perhaps the cyborg did run on a Unix system. Larry decided to shake the thoughts out of his head as the rest of the clones had already advanced towards the sleeping cyborg and began to attack her.
Harry on the other hand, was a little concerned with how quickly Andy had gotten up and off. She'd just been grievously injured and yet she acted as if she were fine. So Harry set off behind her following close-by to ensure no mutant was left alone while all this was going on.

Maddie held tighter onto Colbys finger as the yelling started. His eyes darted back and forth between the roof of the cabinet and the floor beneath his feet. He wasn't one to like confrontation and yelling. But he also didn't want to stand idly by as his father was being accosted upstairs. Every part of him wanted his legs to move and help him out, but they remained frozen in fear and indecision. They were told to stay hidden down there, but how would they know if they needed help upstairs otherwise. Or was this cat trying to tell them something?

Maddie wanted to tell the cat to be quiet, keeps its voice down unless it was trying to get them caught, but with the commotion upstairs he somewhat doubted they would hear it. Besides, what's a meowing cat to a guard? Before long the fighting stopped, and there was the sound of footsteps approaching closer. Maddie's free hand made it towards one of his knives, ready to attack a guard if need be. As the doors opened, he let out a massive sigh of relief to see it was his father. He followed behind Colby, glad they kept their fingers intertwined as they walked and followed him upstairs.

When they reached the top the scene was less than hopeful. Willow's mother was cleaning up glass while Chesire was nursing the beginnings of a black eye. Jafar's rule was clearly meant to keep him in power and depower those who may be able to oppose him. It made his stack churn, but as Chesire explained what had happened, something caught Maddie's attention out of the corner of his eye. There was a simple deck of playing cards laying on a table. He made his way over to it and picked them up, inspecting the cards for a moment finding it strange that they'd be in Agrabah. "Playing Cards?"
