Ruben is the one teacher amidst these folks.

Who's gonna sign up for his classes?

Ruben is one of the most interesting characters I've come across in quite a while. I keep getting drawn back to his character sheet to try and figure him out. Even if Mason cannot be taught by him (Ruben teaches Cerebral and Super-System students, whilst Mason is defined as Other), I would love for some interaction between Mason and Ruben.
<Snipped quote by Tyler>

Both of mine are on the elimination list D:

Well, it was nice knowing you.

I don't think I'll do one of the "first impressions" things. Mason isn't really into judging people based on appearances; I don't think he'd be able to if he tried. He's more into people's actions. Plus, it's more fun to have these develop organically IC for me.
Ruben's thinkings.

For better effect, try and read them in your head in this voice.

I only just realised why Ruben reacted so dramatically to Piper. It will be interesting to see how that relationship develops (if we are indeed on the same 'brainwave'...) As for Mason, I am sure he is as thrilled as I am that he is not on Ruben's "To Eliminate" list.
A few facts about iiiiiiiiiiice
Fire won't exactly melt right through it. For example.

"Scrambled eggs from Hell". God bless America.

This is totally happening to one of the new students and I'm not sorry about it.

YAAASSSS. My vote is the little weed with rain powers. Drag him for filth.
You are very talented, @SepticGentleman. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Also, @Mr Allen J, it has come to my attention that my original shortened character sheet did not include a field for gender. As a consequence none of the resulting ones did, either. Should we edit this into our mini-sheets? I feel it's quite an important attribute and some characters have gender-ambiguous names.
I'm really excited for this to begin. As Apokalipse already said, super schools on this forum tend to suffer; not only do they attract amateur roleplayers but they are also a magnet for amateur GMs.

Fortunately this band of characters looks rather solid and the GM is very thorough and professional. It makes me really eager to get involved.

Is there any chance we can post abridged versions of our characters here? I've read through the accepted characters, but it's a lot of information to process at once. It might be better if we all shared what we consider to be essential information in a more digestible format. I'll start:

I hope this doesn't seem like a dumb idea...
@Tyler Very good, Mason is accepted. You may place him among the accepted characters.

Now boys and girls, I plan on starting this RP soon. Within the frame of this week. So, get everything you can ready. Though, once we start, we'll still be accepting until we get a reasonable amount. I'm debating how exactly we'll start. I was thinking that everyone starts on the boat ride there - but that would leave out the characters that would logically already be on the island.

It would lead to a speech by the Headmistress (Yes, the owner of this school is a girly girl) - alternatively, I was just thinking of skipping the boatride and starting there. Then that leads to the question of what to do next? I don't think setting everyone loose that early would be a good idea, so I was thinking of starting the same way I started the other two iterations of the 218: A grand banquet!

... Unless you guys have any better ideas.

Thank you, I'm very excited to roleplay with you all.

I personally believe starting on the boat will be best. The OP says that the ships are infrequent but scheduled to and from the island. People who join the RP later can enter the story as a latecomer to the school on one of these boats. Perhaps their powers manifested more recently, or they simply weren't aware of the school, or they missed the boat at the start of term. There is a lot of flexibility with this approach. New students arrive at schools all the time. They could even be transfers from other academies around the world.

Just my 'two cents'.
@Tyler I like your well thought-out response. It gives me a good feeling about you. I'll address what I can!

Again, Tyler, I really like your character - Urban agrees. It's just that we need to tweak Mason's power a bit. I also think you should elaborate on the size of the mirror. How big does the mirror need to be for him to enter it?

Thanks for your feedback and supportive comments. I have amended by original submission and attached the changes below. I have also included Mason's NEST identification.

I hope this is satisfactory.
