Looks like the plan is to trap Annabelle in a basement until she starves to death.

Her weakness all along was a baby gate at the top of the stairs.

Queen Celestius

@AnyAlex@Squirrel98
Even the Queen looked toward the King as Marcus asked what the meaning of the summons was. Without much hesitation, the King stood, then descended the throne, where he began his explanation of what the summons was for. As he told the crew of what he needed them to do, the Queen sat then cast a very thoughtful glance toward Prince Tol. The Prince was rather antsy as his father spoke and he couldn't seem to stand still. Once the King had finished speaking, Queen Celestius looked to the crew, then told them, "And in order to ensure that this task is completed, as well as to catalogue the events as a first hand account, we will send with you a representative of the throne."

Queen Celestius gestured to the Prince, speaking rather coldly, "Prince Tol Anzi-de Carragua shall accompany you on this venture, along with a servant, and will be there to assist you and act on our behalf."

Prince Tol Anzi-de Carragua

Prince Tol straightened up, slowly turned his head to look at his Mother, and seemed to vibrate ever so slightly as he did his best to contain something. Had he not been a golem, there likely would have been more of a physical display of emotion, but for those that knew? Oh, they could tell that the Prince was completely taken off guard by this. The Queen had ordered him to shut up but... he had so many things to say! How could he possibly keep all of these things in? Rather unconsciously, Prince Tol was vibrating so hard that parts of him rattled softly.
Itimpu

As soon as Itimpu was out of the window, he was headed directly toward the soldiers, without a hint of regard for their firearms or their numbers. To his surprise, he heard the howl of the Wolfman-- and said Wolfman was already drawing the attention of the soldiers. Of course, as the soldiers began to shoot toward the Wolfman, their attention was rather divided, once they noticed the noise of Itimpu's approach. With skill, he lept from wall to window, to wall, as bullets ricochet off nearby stone and pillar-- a moving shadow among shadows. It was with this technique that he sized them up-- watched them organize themselves into a better formation-- before he lunged for the center of the group.

Roaring in sheer excitement as he landed atop a man, claws dug deep into his chest, Itimpu drew first blood in the night. Of course, as these were special forces soldiers, they rather coldly left behind their fallen comrade, and sprinted for cover as they pulled up their mortar tubes, splitting off into smaller groups, and headed for the shadows. Several gunshots rang out from a distance as a couple of .50 caliber machine guns began firing toward Itimpu some distance away-- clearly these people had prepared for some form of resistance and their numbers were more than the small "Greeting Party."

Itimpu lifted the skewered half-living corpse of the man up in front of himself as a shield. The body absorbed bullets as Itimpu sprinted for the shadows. Discarding the barely held together body, Itimpu turned a corner, and ran face first into another group of soldiers. He hadn't the time to react as they fired an electric-net directly into his face. It opened with enough force to send him flying backward but was fired all too close, which limited it's deployment effectiveness, and ended up tangling only his face and arm in it.

Then began the screaming.
Castle Servants had descended upon the soldiers outside the castle but the machine gun fire indicated they wouldn't go down without a fight.

Heavy impacts caught Itimpu's attention-- the soldiers were shooting at him. Gritting his teeth against the pain, Itimpu took a firm grasp on the net, electricity causing his vision to blurr, before he rather blindly tossed it toward them, got onto all fours, and threw himself at the soldiers in the same motion. More than one Bayonet caught Itimpu as the soldiers backed away from his projected landing-- leaving rather deep cuts behind. Growling, Itimpu lunged for them again, and they simply could not match his speed. One fell to his claws as another tripped over his own feet, fired his weapon at Itimpu, then gurgled as Itimpu ripped his head from his shoulders, then threw it at the remaining soldiers on the retreat.

It passed by a mortar round in midair.

Reflexes quick and instincts sharp, Itimpu uppercut the mortar, sending the round upward and into a nearby wall where it exploded-- sending stone and dust showering down upon him-- and allowing the soldiers to make good on their retreat. For now.
GURITAG

@Jerkchicken@Blizz@baraquiel

Neith speaking about "not judging people" caused Guritag a very obvious amount of amusement. While she didn't respond to the statement, she did sit there and snicker about it, as she secured her beer, and began a long period of staring at Neith-- taking in the details as it were. Yes, this gaze would probably be weird to be under, especially since Guritag didn't bother to make it any less obvious, and didn't let up on the staring, even as Micah and Tolan began doing their thing. "Aye you'd bet 'm enjoyin' it," replied Rita to Dion, in a rather distracted manner, before Tolan told them to Go Home.

For whatever reason, this was the statement that caused a very significant shift in Rita's demeanor. Over and over the people of this town had said nothing but 'go home' and avoided answering questions. Maybe it was the fact that Rita, despite the cold beer, was still feeling a bit anxious about the whole thing, but she had officially had enough of that answer.

"Look'ere, scout," Guritag began in a very serious tone, her voice edged with annoyance, "I'm half-past tired of y'all up n' tellin' us to leave cause, if ya been through this afore, then you know's good n' well ain't a thing you gonna say o' warnin' that's right ta put fear in th' hearts o' Venturers, sides the Godsdamned truth." Guritag took a deep pull of her beer before going on, "So if it's runnin' me off ya wants-- for I ain't one ta speak fer the rest o' these folk-- then you'd best be tellin' me somethin' awful plain n' fearsome. You'd best be tellin' tale of somethin' that'll strike fear like thunderclap in me, else I'll be waltzin' in there like rest o' em. Let down ya vague n' speak word o' truth, scout. Give ya blunt n' honorable word.
@Lugia
As Ampere takes his look around, he can see a small silver dot in the sky growing slightly larger-- oh.
Those are just more harpoons.
Very obviously, the next volly has been fired, and it is indeed headed right for the large hamburger monster. Each harpoon lodges itself into the malformed monstrosity with the THUNK THUNK THUNK of heavy impact. Luckily, this creature had indeed provided adequate cover.
Whoever is shooting from above appears to be aiming for the party indeed but they are well out of eyesight.

He could also see that the remaining SKYSQUID has retreated beneath the world-- escaping the party.

In the same direction that it went, there are three outlines-- stone towers that are quite a dash away.
@Polyphemus I'm mostly waiting to see if there will be any NPC movement.
Don't know if you're the type of GM that wants us to have at NPC's or want control over their movement/reactions first.
Prince Tol Anzi-de Carragua

@AnyAlex

As they began walking, a few of the Royal Guards gave the crew pitying glances, and some even mumbled apologies out of Prince Tol's earshot. Of course the walk to the castle was far and of course the Prince ordered that the cage follow behind them just in case. Still, the entire walk, the Royal Guards did keep an eye on the crew, at least suspicious enough to not let them run off I to alleyways. When eventually they did arrive at the castle, those same guards, following along behind the Prince, would escort them to a rather large waiting area with access to the throne room.

Two guards stay behind in the room, securing both exits, but at least the room is full of comfortable seats, refreshments, and plenty of food.

Prince Tol rather quickly left them upon entering the castle...

Queen Celestius

"MOTHER!"
Queen Celestius was still seated on the stairs to the throne as her "son" practically kicked the door to the throne room in. Irritation rose within her as he marched in-- all this time shed held on to that tiny strand of hope that it hadn't been Prince Tol to handle things with their guests. Closing her eyes, the Queen sighed deeply, then turned her head slightly as a second door into the room opened.

In walked the King. He seemed... weary. Perhaps he hadn't slept well but that was simply too bad. Slowly, he strode toward the throne. "Prince Tol handled your guests," announced the Queen tensely, "Do expect them to be full of greviences once they enter." Gathering her robes about herself, the Queen stood, then moved to take her seat.

Prince Tol shouted, "GREVIENCES?! MOTHER I PROTEST! I handled them as deftly as any Royal would, given the situation! My conduct was PRISTINE! KINGLY EVEN--"

"Silence," The Queen hissed, "And I'll need you to maintain that silence until his Highness finishes addressing them."Prince Tol actually shrank at her tone then went to sulk next to the throne stairs near the King. Shaking her head as she seated herself, the Queen gestured to a servant, then told them, "Welcome our guests into the Throne Room."

Al Lopez - - > Beach House

As they entered the Lyft, Mariah pulled her phone out, and was mostly occupied with texting the entire car ride. This, of course, definitely highlighted how damn tall she was, since she had to practically fold herself to fit into the back seat. While she wasn't exactly uncomfortable with the group, she wasn't exactly trying to make conversation, especially since she had someone to antagonize...

Bye ho
Where you go???
Sis said we gotta meet the rest
Fuck you
Wooooooow
>:( you just leave me???
Fuck you
Okay I'll text you when I'm done
Kk
:(
Why can't I go???

Clingy
No fuck you >:(
Go flex on the beach or something
:(

Putting her phone away, Mariah rather obnoxiously opened her parasol as they walked up to the beach house, and was rather impressed with it. Bitty Dick Blake really hooked these folks up. She half-thought he was just trying to get the violence to stop by saying whatever. With an impressed hum, she trailed behind Claudette, while looking over the rest of the scenery. Already, Mariah was inwardly plotting to spend some time on the beach here since, basically, this little slice in a rich neighborhood would be reasonably clean and free of tourists. Mental notes made, Mariah turned her attention forward, just as she caught the last half of what Claudette was saying.

... don't tell me something happened while I was gone..."
Claudette

Being tall enough to not have to lean to get a good view into the house, Mariah raised her brows at the scene before her, squinted analytically, then turned away slightly noting lowly, "Maaaaaybe this ain't a good time to do introductions. Right now? Cause they look a bit, uh, fuckin' distressed." Every single person within eyesight looked as if their puppy had been strangled to death in front of them. Not only was Mariah uncomfortable with the situation, she was outright feeling out of place, and figured Claudette had leader-y shit to do. Wrangling feelings and soothing or what-nots. With a wince and a lowly mumbled, "Eesh," Mariah took a few steps backward and shifted uncomfortably, "Look. I can come back another time cause it look like some feelings happenin' in there."

.. a second form that is even stronger than her current form...

This isnt even... her...final. form...
I'm interested.
