Having been living with only her father and brothers since the age of 14, Demi has toughened up a little and her maternal skills have flourished more. She is known to make mouth-watering desserts and have excellent cooking skills. At school, she somehow finds the perfect balance to shine in both the field and her studies, and has earned high marks since beginning her education. Even after being away for a year because of her mother's death, once she was back in the swing of things nothing could stop her. On the field, Demi's sweetness vanishes instantly, only to be replaced by a deep fierceness and hunger for victory. She's as fast as lightning on a broom, and with a strong whack of her right hand can easily manipulate a Bludger into whatever direction she pleases. This earned her the nickname "Thunder Graves": an allusion to her speed and strength. She has been on the team since her fourth year after having earned her spot as a Beater, abolishing the thought that only males could perform well on that position. When it comes to relationships, Demi has only dated once, though it remains one of her secrets. Due to her personality, natural Quidditch abilities and foreign looks, guys have always been lining up for her, but only one has sparked her interest, and it didn't end well. The men in her life have set high goals as to how a woman should be treated, and they have also been clear in expressing how overprotective they will become when they find out Demi's dating or meeting guys. Though Demi is sweet, she has a quick temper and tends to be impulsive while angry. If wrong, she quickly apologizes and tries to make amends.

Demi had the happiest childhood a kid could ever dream of. She grew up in a comfortable and cozy middle-class house on a good neighborhood and with the love of everybody around her. Her Muggle father Michael was a hard-working man that earned his living in the construction business, but always made sure to put his family first; and stay-at-home witch mother Raquelle was one of the kindest, sweetest people you could meet, and she raised her children to be that way. It came to everyone as a horrible shock when sweet, gentle Raquelle was diagnosed with leukemia when Demi was 13. Against their mother's wishes, all her children decided to not attend Hogwarts that year and spend her last moments with her and. After battling until her last breath and after Demi's 14th birthday, Raquelle had passed away, just when the sunflowers were in full bloom. Her family was destroyed, especially Demi, who had suffered this traumatic experience having entered the difficult teenage years. The Graves slowly moved on, closer than ever and constantly keeping Raquelle's memory close.
The siblings had always known of their mother's magical background and had started showing signs of magical abilities since childhood, so it came as no surprise when they each received their letter after their eleventh birthday. They had been accepted at Merlin's Magical Academy, but had decided to transfer to Hogwarts on their second year to educate themselves in Raquelle's Alma Mater and see a little bit more of the world. Kaden had graduated four years prior, and was now an official Auror, while Luke was on his last year at Hogwarts and had plans to work alongside his father in the construction business while he figured out what he really wanted. Demi was interested in becoming a professional potioneer, but was also keeping her fingers crossed for an opportunity to play professional Quidditch.
