Amanda Woodall isn’t known for being friendly. Raised in a household of high expectations, there is a standard to be upheld, and Amanda has made it her mission to do so. Her confidence sometimes strays into arrogance, her icy and haughty demeanor can be off putting to most, and some may go as far as to describe her as a woman far too frigid for her age. In the courtrooms, however, she is a force to be reckoned with. She validates her points with eloquence, elegantly speaks her mind and handles herself with grace and poise. She takes on every case like she does with every important aspect of her life: with the drive and determination of someone who will do anything in their power to reach their desired outcome. So far, she hasn’t lost a case.

Of course, there is more to Amanda than meets the eye. To those close to her, she presents a softer, kinder side- especially to her brother and female cousins. She lives by the premise that family is more important than work, which means she would put anything on hold if her loved ones need her. Her husband and stepdaughters mean the world to Amanda: and she demonstrates it with plenty of affection and spoiling. And although it’s only been five years, she loves Benjamin as madly as she did when they first met.

History & Upbringing

Amanda Isabella Woodall was born in West Palm Beach, Florida: the first child to be welcomed into the Woodall family. She grew up alongside her cousins Irina and Mimi in their opulent homes in Palm Beach's exclusive Crown Heights neighborhood, and the three were raised together like sisters. In their childhood years, the Woodall patriarchs came together to make their dreams of owning their own business a reality. Tres Doncellas Winery & Vineyard was born, hoping to leave its mark in the world of fine wines. Fast-forward to today: Tres Doncellas is a multi million liquor company with worldwide business ties, international praise and even a few awards.

In her school years, Amanda built herself a reputation for being a driven, no-nonsense kind of classmate: the kind you would call an ‘overachiever’. Her parents had raised her with the belief that smarts and academics triumphed over arts and sports, so the blonde focused her attention in cultivating her intelligence. In her years as a King’s Academy, she maintained an unwavering perfect GPA while being active in plenty of intellectual clubs and organizations, notably the National Honor Society, Debate Club (which she presided for 2 years straight) and Senior Class President. The time for friends and parties was sparse, but the sacrifice was worth it in the end. She graduated top of her class, was deemed valedictorian, and was accepted at more than a handful of Ivy League schools.

Upon graduation, Amanda followed her dreams of becoming an ADA all the way to Harvard University. Her time at university not only gave her the tools and knowledge to succeed in her field, but also gifted her with her best friend in the world: Abraham Cross. The aspiring lawyers were immediately drawn to each other from the moment they met in the school’s hallways, and had been inseparable ever since. As self-appointed best friends to each other, one of their duties was to serve as each other's event companions through hell and high water. There were the usual casual affairs they attended as college students: like frat parties, late-night study sessions, bar hopping and the like. Then there were more important occasions, like benefit galas, weddings, dinner parties… It was during one of these family events that Amanda met the man who would eventually become her husband: Benjamin Cross… Abraham’s 40 year-old uncle.

As was expected when a couple had a 17 year age difference, the news of their relationship was met with plenty of outrage and disapproval, especially from Amanda’s family. They saw Benjamin as a broke has-been hoping to steal their daughter’s money, while Amanda was clearly looking to cut corners on her career path (according to the more irrelevant members of the Cross family who didn’t know her). Of course, time has proven both families wrong, as Amanda and Benjamin continued to defy the odds while their relationship blossomed. Benjamin’s parents and siblings had met Amanda, and knew that the young woman’s intentions with the older man were nothing but good. Meanwhile, Benji had faced an uphill battle trying to win the Woodall family over, but most of their worries were when he signed a prenuptial agreement without a second thought. On the first anniversary of the day they met, he surprised her with an engagement ring, and the two married a year later during a stunning ceremony in the blue waters and white sands of Tahiti.

Greetings!

Ten years ago, we reached the culmination of one of the most memorable chapters of our lives. On the 28th of May of 2009, we received our diplomas and excitedly threw our black caps in the air as we were officially declared high school graduates. During our time at King's Academy we lived, we laughed, we cried… But most importantly, we gained the skills and experiences that led us to become the successful adults we are today.

In honor of the tenth anniversary of this day, I have organized an event to celebrate King’s Academy’s Class of 2009. From the 7th to the 9th of June 2019, you will have the opportunity to reunite with your fellow classmates for a weekend of fun, relaxation, exciting events and long trips down memory lane. Spots at the hotel are limited, so I kindly ask that you please RSVP by April 24th, 2019.

2009 Senior Class President

Hello, and welcome to Palm Beach Royals: Class Reunion. The general premise of this roleplay is as crystal-clear as the title suggests: a class reunion _(duuuuuuh!). In this roleplay, you will play an adult in their late 20’s that, in the year 2009, who graduated from the most prestigious private school in the whole state of Florida: King's Academy. This roleplay will follow the story of our darling characters as they get reacquainted with old friends, lovers and/or enemies while celebrating the tenth anniversary of their high school graduation. It will be one glorious, memorable weekend at a luxurious resort in the Florida Keys.

The GM will present a series of events to move the story forward. We are expected to last a grand total of 3 IC days. The approach of this roleplay is the lines of a romantic comedy: with the usual petty drama between characters, hookups, affairs, embarrassing and funny moments. Be advised that heavy subjects and adult situations such as alcohol, drugs, sex (following guild rules or course), etc. will be present.

** You did not have to be a part of Palm Beach Royals: Senior Year to join this roleplay, because although I use the same school for background it's a different graduating class with different characters. **

• This will be a high-casual roleplay, which means I expect a 3 paragraph minimum per post. Of course, quality over quantity shall prevail.
• Because this is a limited-time roleplay, my deadline system and two week posting rule will be heavily enforced.
• Deadlines will be every other Sunday at midnight PST, and will always be announced beforehand.
• Extensions will be granted only if requested by the Friday prior to the deadline, and it gives you until Wednesday to post.
• Failure to ask for an extension on time or not posting by the deadline will result in your character being put on hiatus until the next scene.
• I will not accept lack of inspiration or not knowing what to do in your post as an excuse for not posting or for an extension. Communication is key, so if you ever find yourself on a bind or lost on what to do, please don't hesitate to message me so I can help you in any way I can.
• Because this is such a character-driven RP, interactions are a must. In order to avoid players being left out, for every character you have, you must have six established relationships with other characters to be cleared for posting in the IC.
• Drop your favorite dessert in the Extra section to make sure you read the rules. Your sheet will not be accepted until you do.
• Collaborative posts are accepted as long as they're posted by the deadline. An unfinished collab or a missing collab partner will not be an excuse for an extension. If this were to happen, you are to post what you have at that moment or make arrangements for a solo post.
• Please use one post per character in both the IC tab and the Character tab.
• If you have any issues with any players or the roleplay itself, please message me to discuss them in private.
