Just an update that I'll definitely try to get my CS done this weekend, sorry for the holdup.
Afraid I gotta bow out. I don't think I'll have time to control two characters in the rp, especially since I foresee it becoming quite hectic. That, and the CS doesn't seem to be coming together as easily as I'd hoped.

Sorry for holding up a position, and have fun! I'll definitely be reading along.
@AngelOfOctober No sweat.

@tal0n Sure, I'm game! Depending on what you had in mind, it could either be a race to crack the case (cop vs private detective kinda deal) or they could even be partners working on the case together. Or... somethin' else.
@Vertigo

I mean the concept are a wee bit different, but I just finished Asuka's backstory. He has a similar story in the sense that he used video games to escape his depression. Didn't even recognize he was searching for an escape.

Since escapism is a pretty common and broad reason for playing, it shouldn't be a problem even if there are two people who aren't happy with their lives doing it. My character wouldn't be depressed, either; more so just frustrated that they lack control of their own life, so they make up for it by feeling powerful online (even if that means bullying the weak). Would be interesting if those two ended up interacting, though.

But yeah, will contemplate the two choices and show up with a CS at some point!
Gotcha! I'll write the idea I had with that in mind, and if it seems like it's too powerful or obstacle-breaking still, I've no problem toning it down more.

Afraid I have to finish the CS tomorrow, though. Today was supposed to be my CS writing day, but I got home later than expected. :/
Damnit.

So basically, it boils down to the choice between the edgelord or the comic relief of the bunch.

Might just start both and see which one'll start writing itself.
Heh, thanks! My problem is mostly that I'm indecisive, and don't really have a preference either way. 'Cause like you said--- the first one would be interesting to explore, the second one could lead to hilarity. So if one idea was more welcome than the other, that'd help me decide.

If not, weeelll, I'll end up deciding one way or another, eventually!
Hmm, so I've got two tentative concepts. Would either of these fly? If so, which one'd be more welcome?

1) IRL, they person feels like they've no control of their life. Maybe they're just a cog in the machine of corporate life, maybe they're a teen whose parents are going through a breakup, maybe they're a very sickly person bound to bed most of the time (would explain why they have a lot of free time to play). Either way, they have no control of their life. So, online, they play that asshole who preys on the newbs and the non-combatants of the game. Shows up, beats them up, steals their gear. Well-experienced in the game, since it's been their outlet for a while. With the release of Headhunt, though, they're at a loss - if they keep doing what they do, they will be flagged and hunted down. This idea could be either a girl or a guy, depends.

2) Undercover cop/private detective/etc. who is investigating the disappearances. Not trusting the usual players with such a grave matter, he decided to try and pose as a singer girl in Haven to see if he could gather any clues or lure out the kidnappers. Trouble is, he isn't really well-versed with technology like this, so he makes stupid mistakes while trying to blend in. Messes up a lot. Especially when he now has to pretend to be an early-twenties singer girl. As... a dude in his early thirties.
Oh! Cool, I'll take the Love crest then. I'll work on the CS asap, but yeah, feel free to start without me; I'll jump in when done.
I'm personally veeeery leery on using real people from recent history as characters. Fate series itself makes sure to avoid that, and for a reason. I just... can't see that ending well.

Otherwise interested. Fate is my jam.
