Quick question! I couldn't find a mention of how many weapon arts or spells we can start with. I assume we only get the ones labelled [start], but just making sure. Also, what about spells? I see Sumire knows all the standard white magic spells, so would someone who specialized in dark magic know thunder, fire and wind to start with?

Still trying to decide my class and talent. I planned a hunter at first, but seeing how we lack in axes, might go that route instead. Or dark magic, or black magic--- something we don't have yet, basically, for variety's sake. I might just wait until more sheets are in to decide.
I should be able to do that tomorrow, yeah. Thank you!
Ah, dang, just missed this! If someone drops out, could you let me know? I was planning an extrovert to balance out the introverts so far, heh.
Probably, though if the kobold looks clearly terrified and not a threat, and the others aren't giving any indication that they'd want it dead, he might shoot after it - but purposefully miss anyhow.
Heyo, hope I'm not too late!

Ardour is contemplating life and every decision that led him down this dungeon with these people.

He's also probably thinking of Stunning Striking the horse since it's headed his way. He could dodge, but then the cursed thing would disappear into the depths of the dungeon with a part of their supplies.

Would that be rolling an attack normally, or?
I think Caw will feel bad for missing, so he might try another shot. If anyone else wants to beat him to the punch though, feel free! His turn is last, anyhow.
Duncan was never good at sitting idle. He got anxious enough having to sit on the bench during practice - being unable to help Pebs as she painstakingly fished for the mysterious key was practically unbearable. He felt useless and annoyed, pacing back and forth behind her until he realized it probably just made things worse. So, instead, he walked some distance from her and did what he'd meant to for ages now; he lit a cigarette. It brought him some comfort, if only momentarily.

He didn't know how long it took her to get the key exactly, but it sure felt like five days. Not that Duncan blamed her for it; she'd done a much better job than he would've. He'd ran out of patience midway through and ended up snapping the wires or something. Hell, even Pebs, as calm a person as Duncan had pegged her as so far, seemed frustrated by the time she finally held up the key in victory.

Duncan threw the butt of his cigarette onto the floor and put it out with his foot in favor of turning towards her.

"Well damn, look at that. You actually did it. Gotta admit, had my doubts for a bit there." Duncan pocketed the key as she pushed it onto him, watching as she walked up to the rest of the assorted objects they'd found. His tone more serious, he called out towards her turned back: "Seriously though - great job."

He fished out the screwdriver and walked over when prompted to do so, his uplifted mood contrasted by her annoyed one. "Aye aye m'am, one screwed-shut truck, comin' right up."

As he worked on the task in question, he glanced at the paper. "Don't think we need that, nah. We got enough shit to carry as is. Aaaand-- there we go." Duncan slid the truck back over for Pebs to stuff into her bag, then started towards the door. He waited for her to catch up, then nodded.

"Ready? It was dark as hell on the other side from what I saw, so get your phone ready. And stay close."

He drew in a breath, then, invigorated by the successful key acquisition, the promise of escape and the sweet, sweet caress of nicotine from earlier, yanked the door open. He held his phone in one hand to provide light, with the screwdriver held at ready in the other - as if as a makeshift weapon, should there come a need.

Hopefully, there wouldn't come a need.

With long, confident steps, Duncan walked into the room beyond, looking around for anything eye-catching - like furniture, a light switch, or a surprise prank filming crew. Especially the latter one.

Caw's Turn | Init: 4

HP 09/09 +3 | Status: None

A lot happened in very short a time, and Caw found himself struggling to keep up with it all. He saw frost dance in his peripheral vision in the wake of Vaal's spell, and he saw Rhayela caught in combat with two kobolds - both of which met their ends soon thereafter. Magdar had reached them, he noticed; his cry was unmistakable, and the wide swing of his hammer even more so. But though Caw saw it all happen, he never did manage to react to any of it; by the time he'd processed what was happening, something else already demanded his attention.

He'd taken part in his fair share of quarrels during his time on the streets to be sure, but nothing quite like this. Not in a burning city with a dragon roaring above. Not with innocent parties caught in the crossfire. Not with a friend in danger. It was all very overwhelming for the young kenku, and he felt himself useless for it.

Then he saw it; one last kobold left standing, sling in hand. This was his chance.

Caw reached for another arrow, trying to will his hands not to shake; not from fear, not from hesitance, not from any other emotion that threatened to cloud his mind. He took aim, trying to find an angle similar to his previous shot. But... was it right to kill the last kobold, when it probably wasn't a threat on its own? He'd heard they were evil creatures, and yet though Vaal was strange at times, he didn't seem evil.

He released the arrow.

Whether it was right or wrong to kill the lone kobold, the burden was off Caw's shoulders now; his arrow whizzed past its head harmlessly. His hands had shaken after all.

Thank you! I'm catching up right now, so expect that post in a bit.
