Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Typically, the GM plays the main villain for that exact reason - would be a bit troublesome if someone else took the whole plot in a completely unintended direction!

@Vertigo Well, it's also possible that Caw was stunned into silence by this remark - after all, it was rather accurate. If you'd still be available to roll dice for Caw when needed, that'd be great, but I understand if you can't post during the time you're gone. (where are you going? I'm curious what kind of journey will take 20 days XD).

And if you're curious, I'm taking my girlfriend around Italy for those 20 days. Summer vacation (if a bit late) yay.

With that said, I can work on a post from trains if needed. Looks like I could get a short one in at some point and then move along with the rest.

DanMachi: Alter Oration [DEAD]

I definitely agree that side quests should be rewarded, that's what they're for after all, but it's a bit unfair to say everyone else appeared "without any explanation". It was kind of implied that's where the group should be headed so the rp proper can start, so everyone found an excuse to get there to do just that. I could've just as well had Ayame run around in circles in the city for 10 posts.

Hmm, so it looks like Ayame asked to join the familia. OK, I will find a way to justify that in my next post. Maybe she was afraid the thugs would keep going after her so she signed up hoping it would protect her, without realizing she was basically signing up to go on an adventure and get her hands dirty. That wasn't supposed to be part of getting rich!!

Either way it looks like we should wait for Torran for now. I'll try to get a post in on the next round it's needed.

I really want to have Caw respond, but-- I'm about to head off to travel for the rest of the month, so you probably shouldn't wait for me to progress! I'm not sure how much, if at all, I'm able to post while gone.

If you move on, I can just have Caw's reply to Vaal in my next post before I also skip ahead to where you are, though! (You can assume Caw followed everyone else).

I was going to VM, but ran out of characters to type, dangit, so doing it here instead.

So! I'll be traveling for the rest of the month, starting tonight. I'll see if I can get an occasional post out still, but it is very likely that I won't always manage that on time. Worst case scenario, I can't post before I'm back. I'll be back on the 1st of October and can resume regular posting then, though.

I was going to ask if Ayame could be made an NPC for that duration? Since I don't want to hold the rp from progressing, but also can't promise for sure to be able to post on time.
