Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

@Rhymer: I wasn't thinking so urgent, and I did want to include the magical influence. ^^;
That would probably work.
Well, when I proposed it, I was thinking something like... modern society, but with magitech, gets into space, and things get kind of crazy from there.
@Duck: I'll be honest and say I'm not sure I want to go with something where the supernatural element is leaving. ^^;

As for my own proposal, at the moment, um... I kind of don't want to do a medieval fantasy thing since this is pretty wide open. I'd really like to see something really crazy, like, say...

"Using magic, humanity has built a network of colonies among the stars."
Hmm, okay, I've got some vague ideas but I'm not sure which one to suggest first. ^^;
"If I'm unarmed, I make things up! I dunno how to fight hand to hand so I just improvise!" Torako said, cheerfully. Internally, she wondered why this skill was questioned. After all, they did both clearly have weapons. Even if they didn't think she knew how to use her katana and that it was just for show, the plan was for her to signal them to attack, wasn't it? If it went well, then they would assume she wouldn't be fighting at all. Right? Maybe she actually wouldn't have to at all depending on how things went... but part of her truly wanted to. These bandits, well... the way they were taking advantage of people. Hurting them for little more than their own gain. This was what the worst kinds of scum did, nothing more and nothing less.

They weren't there yet, however.

"Why do you ask?" Torako added, cocking her head to one side, her hair swishing as she did, "I don't think the plan involved fighting them all hand to hand."
The crime lords have agreed to sell the information they have to the Children of the Emperor. A Republic Agent in cover is trying to get one of them, Grogga the Hutt, to reconsider and to try and get the Children of the Emperor to stop their attack due to how it might draw in more Republic Agents. There's TIE Interceptors attacking the Ardent Liberty.
Oh right interest.
@NarcissisticPotato: Hmm... she can attempt to reason with him.
Short post but I can't delay this any longer.
