Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

@Zebanamana: I knew it.
@harinezumikouken: Pffft. She's the main character for the first major actual plot for the setting, actually.

Fittingly for a fiery temper, she has a sword that bursts into divine solar fire in response to "righteous fury".
@Zebanamana: That would be very nice, yes. I'd like everyone on the same page before storming the camp. ^^;

@Snagglepuss89: Pffft. While I say anime-inspired, we're not going to be tossing out Japanese. These characters are... Ger... French... something.

... I mean unless characters from the actual Japan-inspired region show up but that's unlikely. Akitsushima's pretty far away and I'm not sure why anyone from there would be in Thaln.

Unless I decide sudden ninjas are required.
To be honest, the RP has a LOT of anime influence we haven't seen the extent of yet. ^^;

I mean one of the major characters for my own stuff set in it is basically a tiny tsundere paladin.
I don't really mind pointing out accuracy, and it does apply to an extent, but at the same time...

The entire setting is basically inspired by anime and fantasy novels and games and RPGs and stuff. ^^; There's going to be breaks from reality for sure.
@Monochromatic Rainbow: That might be true for real life, but this is a fantasy RP. ^^;
Really, the only armor a sapient undead technically needs not to die is something on their neck and head.

You can cut one in half and they'll be able to get put back together.
Fanilly has... light, ornate plate armor. Proooobably something similar for every previous captain... and a fair number of knights in the Iron Roses, really. Just less flashy for the non-captains, of course.

Her weapons are just a really nice longsword and a parrying dagger, really.
Nooooope.

Another hint: This has nothing to do with Thaln as a country as a whole... and, in a way, the bandits are being deceived as well. Doesn't stop them from being terrible people though.
@Zelosse: Hmmm... The bandits are definitely bandits who have done everything that they've been claimed to, but there's something associated with them that isn't exactly what it's been said to be.

@Snagglepuss89: ... Weeeelp the way I read that initially is a good reason not to read posts immediately after waking up um. ^^;

... But anyway! Um. No that is not it either.
