Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

@Zetsuko: Ah, I forgot to mention, ranking everyone seems to be a bit of a bad idea.
For a few moments, Fanilly stared in mute confusion. Bombs? She supposed she'd heard of containing fire in a container so it could explode, at least. She wasn't exactly sure how well she would be able to use something like that, though. She wasn't, after all, very capable of anything like alchemy, and that seemed like something you would need to know alchemy to be able to use well. She frowned after a few moments, at the idea of testing the weaponry inside.

"I can hardly say testing anything involving fire indoors seems like a good idea," she said, simply. In fact, it seemed like a really, truly terrible idea that could potentially cause serious damage to the building. Really, where would anyone get the idea of that sort of thing? But... well, hopefully that admonishment would be the end of it.

However, Fanilly was quickly pulled away from her serious thoughts on the dangers of inexplicably tossing bombs around indoors when she noticed a... new maid?

For a few moments she stared in blank incomprehension. Why was...

"... S... Sult? What are you doing...?"
In case anyone else missed it since I know Raineh Daze did, I posted for Faust and Althienna.

Didn't want anyone who wanted to interact or Faust's Master to miss it and got worried knowing @Raineh Daze did. ^^;
Oh right, Berserker too. I've never seen any mention of Saber or Rider though.
He's Lancer and Caster, nothing else, as I recall.
Fanilly inclined her head, slightly, as the rabbit-eared girl spoke. But... she didn't know if she was worthy of that kind of praise, at all. After all, she had allowed Sir Garret to become injured in battle... And it wasn't her actions that had removed the demonic armor from Marianne. But... she wouldn't mention such things, not now.

"I welcome you, Ito," she said, with a nod. She wasn't certain that there was particularly anything... bad happening in Thaln at the moment, beyond the usual hazards that could arise, but at the very least there was no way she would say no to assistance offered in good faith, especially when it was offered by one of the founding Iron Rose Knights.

"If there are no further matters, I would like to bathe and retire for the night."

It was abrupt, but Fanilly could feel her eyes drooping. The Captain of the Iron Roses falling asleep in the middle of speaking to her knights would be impossibly embarrassing.

She wanted a bath, and then some sleep.

And so, the next morning, Fanilly awoke. Her blonde hair pooling around her head, she blinked her eyes blearily before slowly sitting up and yawning. Ah... She hadn't slept in late, had she? Glancing upwards, and seeing the morning light filtering through the curtains, she decided it was unlikely that she had. With another yawn, she slid out of her bed. Her morning routine was carried out with little incident. Her maids came in while she was in the middle of trying to change herself, undressed her, brought her to the bath, cleaned her, and dressed her.

The outfit was one commonly worn by the Knight-Captains of the Iron Roses. A frilled skirt, a fine jacket, and golden epaulets. All of it was blue and white, reflective of the Order's Mayonite origins.

Fanilly proceeded downstairs.

Today, it seemed, would go without incident. They would have to sort out what to do with the prisoners, and the Nem, but... certainly it wouldn't be like anything yesterday. As she understood, the Princess was now under heavy watch, but there had been no further attempts on her life.

Thank Mayon.
Amalie Georg Faust, Caster

As with many of the other circles, light streamed from the edges of this one, as well, in front of the older blonde woman. It twisted inward, a grey hue to its illumination, as it began to collect and reveal something more. The thin legs of a young girl, delicate and doll-like. A red skirt with frills, a green, frilled coat over a white shirt, a pendent... the pale, childish face of a little girl with blue eyes and long, platinum blonde hair. In her arms, she clutched a rather distinctive doll, simple, with blue hair and angelic features. A halo and a set of wings.

Caster blinked, looking around the room for a few moments. So she had been called... Here? With all these other Servants! Oh, oh, this was different, wasn't it?! It wasn't what she had been ready for, but it was something new and exciting! Oh oh oh, she had to do something right? Right? That was right, wasn't it?!

"So this is what it feels like to be summoned!?" the little girl asked excitedly, smiling brightly as she looked around. "It's really different! Really really different! And it's even more different since we're not trying to kill each other since it's not like a regular grail war right even though that's what I was expecting it's not like that at all is it so that means everyone gets to team up together and be friends and have a part does that mean I'll get to be friends with knights that would be the best thing ever Gretchen thinks so too right Gretchen?!"

Caster held up her Gretchen. Ah, yes, of course Gretchen agreed! Gretchen was so smart and wonderful and pretty, so of course she would want to meet all kinds of cool knights too!

"If I knew how to bake I'd make a cake for everyone," she little girl continued cheerily, "But I don't know how to bake cakes I only know how to eat them and eating cakes isn't really a skill like backing even though I really like it and it's really tasty and do you have any milk I'd like some milk it'd be nice and I'd get all energized by drinking it!"

Caster paused for a moment. Wasn't there something she needed to do...?

"... Oh, right, are you my Master?!

Althienna Ly Van Del Vanten

Althienna inclined her head to one side. So, whatever that curly golden hair had called, it was clear the class of the Servant was not one of the more combative ones. Which left... Caster or Assassin? Perhaps in a regular Grail War such a circumstance would be disadvantageous if forced into direct combat, but in this circumstance, surely that skillset would be complimented by the others? A cloaked woman, who didn't exactly seem the most intimidating sort... but still, a Servant was a Servant. She likely had a great deal of power as a magus from... well... who knew what time she originally came from?

"Indeed I am," the silver-haired magus said with a smile, curtsying as she did. "It's a pleasure to meet you... Caster, I assume?"

She didn't look like an Assassin, though on second thought, Althienna guessed that it was likely that any good Assassin would hardly look like an Assassin. Then again, during their initial summoning, wouldn't they embody the class they had been summoned into? Ah, regardless, she was expecting a Caster given this appearance.
I'm probably going to be moving the RP forward sometime today, as I'd like to just get to the new arc sooner then later.
@KoL: Aaaaaactually, every single description I have read seems fairly clear that Servants are the only time you actually get the full ego and it's the other times(counter guardians and stuff, aside from EMIYA probably) that it's just copies.

Because third magic and all, even in emulation.
I mean, speaking seriously, Saber's probably going to be sad about it.
