10 days duration for the next round. Finals will then take place over a final 10 more days.

Important vs SgtEasy
Vordak vs Melon

The next round will take place in a new arena. I apparently have the map on the Surface and not my laptop (and it apparently didn't backup to my online storage), so here is the description...

The arena is a series of infinitely expanding rings among a center circle. The center circle measures 40 feet in diameter. On the east and west of this circle are two staircases leading up to the next level ring, which is raised 10 feet up from the center circle and measures about 15 feet across from inside edge to the outer edge. On the north and south of this ring, there are stairs leading up to the next level. This continues forever with the stairs alternating a north/south configuration and an east/west configuration.

Every ring has a retaining wall along it which comprises part of the 10 feet in different from the previous level's height. All of the arena is made of dirt/stone. There are trees on each side of the staircases on every level which are 18 feet tall. Torches are scattered along the outer walls of each level.

It should be noted that the outer walls are not perfectly smooth and can be scaled fairly quickly in some parts.

The further you are and the longer you stay off the ground in this arena will increase the effects of gravity on you.

:)

Innue, you're brutal. I know you have to wrap this up before the next tournament, but putting me and Melon in a map with absolutely minimal cover and zero options for stealth puts me in a world of trouble. XD
Currently, all you have to do to qualify, is win one ranked fight. That'll get you into top 8.
Vordak, did you make the card for this?

Done. Forgot about that at first.

Hmm, so we could have the post order, Me, Melon, then DJ then INobody after introductions?

I say you decide the posting order once you engage in combat, arranging it depending on who is fighting whom. And yes, i am the judge.

BTW, i assume that since you have started the fight, everybody is comfortable with Judgment's power level?
The stance Hikaru had assumed was definitely a solid one – but her actions betrayed its intended use. Chudan allowed for one to be in control of the distance and quickly counter when the opportunity comes, meaning that it was for those patient and vigilant, striking only in retaliation and preferring for their opponent to be the one exposing themselves with an attack instead.

Vos knew this, so he was least expecting her to let him as close as she did and had not even considered it as a possibility that she would lash out when her own sword was resting on the edge of his dagger. With slight suspicion, he was about to try and breach her defense, when Hikaru stepped to away, thrusting the katana at his chest. In a situation like this, where Vos was confronted by something completely unexpected, it were the basics that saved him; his guard was raised, so when the attack came in, he parried, displacing the stab to his left by twisting his elbow outwards and pushing down on the blade’s spine with the back of his wrist.

He wouldn’t stop there however.

The katana would be at his waist level, when the parry would transform into a lock, as he would slip his forearm underneath and push it up into his armpit, where it would be caught between his bicep and ribs, while the back of his would apply counter-clockwise torque, increasing the friction tenfold. It would now be easier to pull Vos together with the weapon than to wrench it out of his grasp, leaving Hikaru open to a finishing blow.
As he secured the lock, Vos would aim a quick, horizontal chop at her neck with his broadsword, almost nonchalant as he slowly extended his arm and flicked his wrist, sending the tip flying in an elegant arc. Though unnoticeable under his mask, the mage would smirk, as he spoke, having finally realized what had just happened.

“Please, don’t do that. Show me your best instead of simply trying to take me by surprise” – he would say, with a confident, unshaken demeanor.
Well that contradicts every source I've ever found. But I'm not a expert anyway.

Whoops. I've indeed got that wrong.

Your space in my name seems to have messed up the link thing. For the sonic attack I'm thinking 200dB at most. Hard to calculate energy drain, I'd say anything from 1-2% for direct hits. Also keep in mind the guns are not going to be used in this battle, but nether bolts, much like light, do not have mass thus do not have weight to them.

Ahem. Light has mass, as it is composed of photons. The gravitational warping of light by black holes is an example of how their mass is affected by a physical force.

As for everything else, that seems fine. I assume the life drain applies to the Field Emitter and Black Flame as well, meaning that those two don't deal physical or heat damage as well?

Under your scheme, the only purpose a wager seems to serve is the possibility to lose it if you lose the fight. There's no upside that I can see. User3 wagers 333, wins, and just gets their wager back. They might as well wager 0, no?

I think a classic wager system would be cool where the winners have some claim on the losers' wagers. I'll see if my more mathematical friend can help me come up with the math when he has free time.

Either way, I'm done touching the core Arena system for now aside from various things like bugfixes, tweaks, and improving the UI. It's time for me to move on to other issues.

I specified that they do not have the wagers subtracted from their totals until the fight ends.

For example, a user with 1000 points wagers 100. Through the fight, their total remains at 1000, but if they win the fight, they get to keep their points AND have 200 points (100+wager) as profit, rounding up at 1200 as total, but if they lose, then the 100 wager points are subtracted, resulting in 900 total for them.

Whatever, I'm not being drawn back into this argument again over technicalities and special circumstances, just continue to complain about my character until we come to some sort of conclusion and can get on with things.
