Current Some of y'all are either too old to act the way you act, or too young to be taken seriously. Hard to tell some days.

I have some interest in this. I would personally ally suggest Year 5 or 6, as it allows for more experienced students who would be proficient enough in magic and other aspects of wizardry to have a fighting chance against a cult of Voldemort in the school, but removes some of the pressure of being a seventh year and properly being the students in charge of things.
@Alfhedil How big is the ship that this group is the crew of? Are we looking at a Corvette, a cargo freighter, a cruiser...?

The scene became even more complicated fast. A fishboy arrived onto the scene that Roy could have sworn he heard about from Oliver at some point... Garret maybe? A flash of yellow signaled the arrival of Wally. The alien cohort (other than the orange one) seemed to mostly be focusing their attacks on the Superteen. After years of working as a teenage vigilante, Roy's mind quickly normalized the high concentration of powered individuals. He took a moment to analyze the scene. The bystanders nearby were certainly in danger, but he knew Wally would be more focused on getting them safe. He could certainly do it faster than anyone else. The fire was contained enough for the moment, and something told Roy that his fishy friend would be best taking care of that situation with a little help. Guess that left the scarlet archer to aid the alien girl and the not Superman.

The Red Arrow pulled out a sharp arrow and knocked it back, his eyes scanning the scene below. He gave a small smile as he saw a fire hydrant not too far from the fire and fight below. The arrow was let loose, and it impacted with impeccable aim directly into the cap on the side of the fire hydrant. For a few seconds, only a high-pitched squeal emanated from the rupture point. Then, the cap shot off the hydrant as water began rushing out, the directed buildup of water pressure proving too much. From on top of the roof, Roy shouted as loud as he could, "Oi, Fishboy... Surf's Up!"

With that taken care of, Roy turned his attention quickly back to the aliens. From beneath his helmet a cocky grin spread over his lips as he knocked two trick arrows at once and let them loose, the arrows spreading apart and aimed towards the ground in front of a few of the bunched up hostiles. Upon hitting the ground, the arrows let loose small explosions. They weren't particularly powerful, especially for being this strong... but hopefully it was just enough to get their attention away from the Superboy long enough for him to make a move.
I know just rushing to get RPs in place half-assed is the policy of some here, but the GM team decision to take time to carefully put in place appropriate rules/safeguards/lore will allow for a better experience for all of us involved. Seems more sane and mature than telling everyone to "make space wizards or cowboys and have fun without ruining the experience for everyone around you."

In fact, I think something it's important to keep in mind that what has happened so far has been equivocal to an "announcement" for the PW. We weren't promised that everything would be established within a week, a month, or any other segment of time. Books, movies, games, and other forms of media don't get launched the time they are announced (for when they are, they tend to be catastrophically abysmal). After they are announced, these forms of media still go through a rigorous process of development and editing. This will probably be good to keep in mind as the PW is being worked on, seeing as this back and forth of complaining and defending is becoming quite tiresome when the damn thing isn't even out yet.

Nik and Nathan looked each other in the eye as they heard the voice calling out the name of their shared friend. Nathan turned back to look at the beast, while Nik pulled out a small bag of marbles. He had a fear that things would turn out this way, and so he pulled two of the small metal spheres and began to charge them up. They both began to glow bright red, with small flickers of energy crackling around them like fire.

Nathan clutched at the knife made of blood in his hands, surprised at the speed and versatility of the monster in front of him. His breathing was ragged and almost primal in nature with every muscle in his body tensing up in the heat of the moment. His arm slashed the construct into the beast's side, trying to rip into its flesh quickly and precisely before quickly ducking backwards, backpedaling to avoid a potential slash from the being.

Nik took Nathan's opening as an opportunity to hurl the two marbles towards the beast with a single throw. As soon as the beads impacted against the Sluagh's skin, they burst into a large combined incendiary explosion. Immediately afterwards, Nik called out to his allies. "I think that confirms that this thing's Una's. Has anyone seen where she is?" We need to wake her up!"

Issue #13: Towerfall Part 4: The Red Dart

Manhattan, New York City

December 31st, 2018 | 7:09pm | Rand Tower

The high-piercing wail of the klaxon triggered by the pulling of the fire alarm began to instill a calm confusion. The executives seemed reluctant to want to leave, but the various security officers cut through the party and began slowly herding people towards the primary stairwell. Caterers and executives were pressed against each other in the mild rush downstairs. Daniel Rand, unfortunately, was not in their midst. After pulling the fire alarm, he found himself in the restroom pulling the unconscious form of Cool Million away from the stall door and into the corner. Just as the work was finished, the door to the restroom slammed open and a voice called out, "Is anyone in here? We're in a fire alarm procedure!"

Daniel Rand emerged from the stall, giving a slight nod as he closed the door behind him and made his way towards the sink. It was hard not to notice the traces of blood around the tile floor. The guard placed a hand on Danny's shoulder, leaning forward to look over his employer's bruised neck. "Mr. Rand... are you alright? Is something going on? I can-"

"Once everyone's outside, report a bomb threat. Someone has been threatening to assassinate me, and I want to make sure no one else gets hurt."

The guard gave a curt nod. "You should come with me. I'll can call some guards, and we can escort you home."

Danny finished washing his hands and grabbed a cloth towel to dry his hands. He shook his head, giving a small smile. "No offense, but you'd only slow me down." He briskly exited the bathroom, the guard following close behind.

The sleek hallway, complete with a futuristic white aesthetic and a couple potted plants. Standing in the midst of it all was a single, smiling figure. At his feet were the corpses of three Rand guards. Danny's new "protector instinctively reached for the gun at his side and went to unholster it. The guard only managed to grip the handle of the pistol before a sliver of metal protruded from his neck.

Danny raises his hands defensively. The figure standing opposite him in the hallway gave a small smile behind her yellow tinted sunglasses, readjusting her red leather coat. "Let's not make this more difficult than it needs to be, Daniel Rand. Judging by the mess in the elevator, I'm not going to make the same mistake as my competitors."

In the blink of an eye, she managed to flick another metal sliver down to her hand. She flicked the dart towards Danny, who lifted up his right fist in reaction. It began to glow just in time, and the dart crumbled on impact. The assailant gave a sigh and reacted by tossing more darts. Danny rushed forward, trying to block as many as he could. He was about fifteen feet away before the assailant gave a sigh and knelt down, grabbing one of the guards' guns and lifting it. She didn't aim towards Danny's body, but instead fired a bullet into Danny's knee. The Immortal Iron Fist crumbled and slid a few feet, and the Red Dart rose to her feet with the gun aimed towards her target. She gave a small smile. "God damn... this was almost too easy."

Dev gave a solemn nod. With Anderson gone, the demolitions specialist was an island socially. He wasn't exactly popular in any of the departments. Doing the sorts of things he had earned that mistrust. But the Loadmaster was in a similar boat. He was serving his sentence and trying to change to do some good. The topic of Anderson's daughter soured Dev's expression further. He leaned forward from his position to stare at the ground, his lips beginning to curl in anger. The Council. They ordered the mission. They doomed him...

At the sound of the Captain rummaging for something, Dev's face lit up. He rarely got the opportunity to drink, let alone drink anything worth savoring. The demolitions expert needed something to pull him out of this slump. Cards and Bourbon... that would do just the trick. He was the first to stand up, making sure his infamous weapon was secured to his side. "It ain't about the practice, Cap'n. It's about Lady Luck, and nobody is in her favor like I am. She's the only reason I haven't blown any of my damn fingers off yet." He gave a wry smile as he wiggled his digits as he made the joke. Dev sidled up at the table next to the Captain, taking a seat to join in the action.

THE STREETS

Now | Midtown, Manhattan, New York City

The hybrid engine hummed rather quietly in the busy New York streets. The red blur of Roy Harper bobbed between cars caught in gridlock traffic, narrowly missing side mirrors at his breakneck speed. The motorcycle gave a shrieking beep as it managed to swerve through an open gap in traffic and into a side alley. He was always one for shortcuts. The ground trembled as a booming explosion nearly shocked Roy into a crash with a dumpster. Luckily, the scarlet archer was able to pull on the brakes and turn the bike perpendicular to its motion, drifting to a halt. He activated the kickstand and dismounted the bike, instinctively removing his right glove and placing his palm on the rear bumper. The bike seemed to hum to life as the seemingly sleek chasis of motorcycle began to break apart and form a sort of makeshift weapons rack.

Roy slung the quiver over his head to rest the strap on his shoulder, and grabbed an elongated red box. He pressed a large black button on its side, and the box too fragmented and extended out to form a compound bow. Such an advanced bow was the crowning achievement of Roy's time as the ward of Oliver Queen. It took him years to create this functioning prototype, and the thought of the time spent with Oliver crafting the design almost tugged Roy's lips into a slight grin. Almost.

Roy stocked up on a few select arrows and placed them into his quiver before walking to the front of the bike and tapping a button on the main console. The weapon rack folded itself back up within seconds, and the bike appeared to be just a sleek set of wheels again. The archer pulled out a strange-looking trick arrow from his quiver, knocked it back in his bow, and pulled down a wire from the arrow's head down to hook onto his belt. Roy fired towards the top of the building and waited a few moments. The wire grew taught for but a second before it began hoisting him up at a rapid pace. He grimaced as he felt a rather nasty wedgie forming under his jeans, a byproduct of not wearing the right clothing for the job. The same shit Oliver used to go on about.

Roy didn't have time to go over the musings of his former mentor, as he saw the ledge of the building's roof fast approaching. His left hand extended upward and managed to catch the ledge. Using the momentum of the arrow, Roy hoisted himself onto the tarred rooftop rather effortlessly. He fetched the arrow-turned-grappling-hook and turned his gaze towards the skyline. It took him but a moment to pinpoint the location of the explosion by the cloud of smoke bellowing nearby. He took a deep breath before breaking into a sprint to traverse the New York rooftops and approach the scene.

It took Roy only a minute or so before he was able to perch on a rooftop overlooking the scene. His red motorcycle helmet kept his face obscured. He looked over the scene, his eyes narrowing as he saw a few individuals. An orange girl flying around shooting green lasers from her hands, ugly gorilla's with alien weaponry firing at her, and a rather impressive-looking teenager in a white superman outfit. Just the kind of fun Roy was looking to get involved in. The Red Arrow lobbed an arrow and fired towards the fiery rubble of the building across the road. The arrow-head fragmented and let loose a torrent of white foam over the flames. It wasn't enough to put the fire out entirely, but it was enough to keep it at bay for now. With that settled, Roy's attention turned to the conflict below. He wasn't entirely sure who it was he should be more concerned about... and he knew the other legacies would be here any second. Best not ruin the surprise just yet.

A non-force sensative person who was trained by one of the most skilled swordsman of the time and had their body cyberneticly augmented to fight with the reflexes of a Jedi as well as learn and predict their movements to compensate for the lack of precondition provided by the force and essential in optimizing the use of a lightsaber.

If you want a great example of a non-Force sensitive using a lightsaber, look at Finn in Episode 7.
