Eden smiled. "Let me talk to Shiver and change and I'll be ready soon ok?" Shiver had just gotten out of the shower and had her bathrobe on. "Come on in Eden. What do you need?"

Eden gathered her courage up and said rather quickly. "I'm going out with Kyle and I need a dress to knock his clothes off!"

"Whoa...wait back up. I think you said that wrong. You are going out with Kyle where?"

"To hit the town and have fun and he might propose if I get him drunk enough."

Shiver smirked and sat down. "Okay, Eden...how sexy do you want to be dressed."

"I have no idea how to dress for hitting the town and drinking. I do find him attractive though and maybe it's time to "cross the line." Shiver's eyes narrowed when she heard that.

"Did Enyo have something to do with this?"

Eden looked at her "No, she isn't coming or I wouldn't have a chance with Kyle."

"What was I thinking?" Shiver got up and told her "follow me. You and I are about the same size." She took her into the bedroom and opened her full closet.

After quite some time Eden appeared in a mini dress that was silky and sleeveless. It was also backless and it had a collar around her neck that served as the way to hold the dress up. The fasteners were black. The dress itself was red with black trim and Shiver looked at her feet and said "I bet you would fit these." She handed her a pair of black sandles that laced up her calves. Once she was dressed Shiver smiled.

"You look fabulous." She hurried and fixed her hair and she smiled at her reflection. "So I'm ready then? I am so excited!" Eden hugged Shiver. "Thank you!

Eden appeared in the hallway a moment or two later carrying a small black purse on her shoulder in her outfit waiting for Kyle.

Eden smiled when he splashed her back. She thought on his words and she shook her head. "You've no idea how old I am and I'm sure there have been moments that would have been obvious to someone else that I've totally missed. If it's that good why has no one told me about it being so good. All I've ever been told was to wait until I'm married and my husband will explain it all to me. No one has been interested in marrying me I guess." She frowned. "Wow, I sound really naive don't I?"

"I mean guys might want to have fun with me but as soon as they find out that I am a fighter they walk away. Are all men such cowards that they can't love a woman who can fight?"

Eden blushed. She swam over to him and said "Why don't you come in and swim? It's a slow day as far as missions go." She hesitated a second and asked, "Do you think it's weird that I'm still a ..." Eden blushed a little and whispered "a virgin?" Just the subject had made her turn a slight shade of crimson. Eden thought about him calling her beautiful and realized he probably called every non ugly girl that. She wasn't going to take it to heart. "Tell me what it's like? How does it make you feel?" She anxiously waited for his answer.

Shiver

Shiver teleported herself to the beach. She sat there thinking about Donovan's past and worried about whether or not she could get him to stop hurting people sexually or not. She looked up and saw a couple of young men running in her direction and as they got closer to her she cringed ready to port out of there. She was trying to overcome her fear. She knew it was still so soon but she wanted to get back to normal as soon as she could. She was going to force herself to do things that she was scared of. She wondered if in his own way Donovan was helping her by telling her his past.

She watched as the young men passed her and went over to a rocky area. She watched as the waves kept getting higher and the guys weren't paying attention to it. Shiver stood up and started walking that way. She yelled to them. "Hey! Guys! Look out for the wave!" She was getting a report of a tsunami building from an earthquake in the middle of the ocean. She saw the wave getting bigger and more ominous looking.

As the huge wave was curling up and ready to crash down on the beach goers and the guys on the rocks. Shiver turned and froze it. The people who had seen the wave building had gotten up and started running. Those people were already off of the beach. Shiver teleported to the guys and took them inland. She ported back and forth moving people further away. She heard the ice cracking as the waves kept hitting it and making it weaker. She refroze it trying to give the people more time. Eventually, she couldn't freeze it fast enough as the waves crested and exploded over it. Shiver teleported out but reappeared in the office completely drenched. Liz looked at her and didn't say a word. Shiver walked to her room and got into hot shower.

Eden slipped out of the room right after Enyo did and she went to her room and thought about what Enyo said. Time to cross the line. Eden was always shyer when it came to men and women relations. So many of the gods she knew were very up front about it and she just couldn't find it in herself to drop her guard. She just always blushed and ran away. Eden pushed it to the back of her mind. She was here on business not pleasure. She had to find that apple. Unfortunately, she was certain of who had it and it was going to be very difficult to get it back.

Eden had gotten into the pool and swam a few laps. She flipped over onto her back and floated. "Why are you staring at me?"

Enyo had gotten almost to the office and turned around remembering something. She went to Wicked and Kronus' door and she put her ear up to the door and smiled. A moment later she entered Cupid's room and said "Wicked and Kronus are getting it on in their room if you want lust you can't get more than that. Makeup sex is hot!"

She glanced at Eden's face and laughed even harder as she saw Kyle whispering to the angels. "Eden, you gotta cross the line. You are too easy to mess with. If I were a supervillain I could beat you without doing anything. All I'd have to do is tease you about being a virgin." Eden nearly jumped and said. "What's wrong with being a virgin?" Enyo looked at her hard. "Seriously? How old are you? You are REALLY a virgin?" For a moment Eden glanced at Kyle and she nodded her head. "I'm probably close to your age." Enyo looked at her speechless. After a moment Enyo just walked away. It was too easy to mess with her. She decided to go look for missions on the fax machine.

Enyo walked into the office to find Shiver standing there. "Hey, what are you doing?" "I'm looking for a mission so I have something to do other than sitting around here thinking on how EDEN is a VIRGIN." Shiver looked surprised. "How is that possible? She is around my age somewhere. I don't get it. It's ridiculous." "She told you she is one?" Enyo nodded flipping through the faxes. "Wow" "Hey Liz is this all the faxes?" Shiver's head turned to Liz. She had forgotten the girl was back there. She had heard everything she and Donovan said. Liz seemed to realize this too. "Umm yeah it is. I guess it's a slow day." "I guess, I'm gonna hit the pool." Enyo walked out and Shiver rushed over to her. "You can't repeat any of what you heard."

"I won't. I don't want him to rape me. YOU should stay far from him. He isn't good for you. If you start to get involved with him I'll tell Enyo. Maybe she will have enough common sense for the both of you." Shiver looked a little stunned. "I can help him. It's my job to help him!" "Is it your job to hug and kiss him too?" Shiver wanted to hit her so bad but she was human. "You'd best remember who you are dealing with Liz." Shiver quickly dropped the temperature in the room by 30 degrees and she covered Liz in a thin layer of icy frost. She waived as she walked out the door.

Eden had run back to check on Cupid's health after the commotion died down. "Lust?" Eden gulped a little too much air and started coughing hard. "How am I supposed to find that for you?" She looked at Kyle and blushed a little. "You did this, do you have any ideas?" Eden was completely out of her comfort zone on this one. She just blushed a lot. "Would a porno movie work?"

Enyo walked by the room and heard the word porno and stopped. "What are you talking about?" "Cupid needs to eat and he eats lust." "Of course he does." She said laughingly.

"So are you two going to create the lust?" Enyo can see how badly this subject is teasing Eden but she can't help herself. Eden turned such a deep pink with embarrassment she squealed "NO!" Enyo couldn't help it she laughed and she laughed hard.

Enyo watched as Shiver's mind seemed to be taking in a lot of information. Wicked wiped the tears that slid down her face. She went into the office and slammed her hand into the wall. Liz yelped and Wicked went out of the office and towards the lounge. Enyo concerned about what was happening to Shiver followed her.

"Wicked why don't you want her to do this? What is it?" Wicked was pacing back and forth.

"You don't get it, Kronus and I and most other angels were created strictly for this. Very few of us ever had children because it kills your humanity. Kronus and I were able to become nearly human from living here for hundreds of years and adapting. Shiver was born here. It could strip everything that makes her Shiver OUT of her. She could just be an empty tool for the creator's use."

Enyo turned, ran and tackled Shiver in midair severing the connection. "I can't let you go Shiv. Not knowing what I know now. It will kill who you are!"

Shiver pushed her back. "It will make me stronger! I won't be scared anymore."
Enyo held her tight. "No, it will turn you cold and heartless and that is not you. Could you kill innocents? Entire planets of innocents! That is what you would be forced to do until you no longer cared about anyone or anything."

Shiver stopped struggling. "You mean I'd have to kill babies?" "Yes, babies." Enyo's recent pain surfaced and Shiver said "I'm not as strong as you are Enyo. I can't imagine killing a baby even an evil one." The longer Shiver was out of the connection the more she reverted into herself. She turned and hugged Enyo. "I'm sorry, I didn't know." Shiver was back in her jeans and sweater. Wicked came over to her and hugged her tightly. "My girl." Wicked healed her physical wounds but emotions are not something that can be healed they just take time.

Wicked walked over to Kronus and decked him right through the wall. Shiver gasped and Enyo smiled. "Kronus! How could you do that? You were going to help her destroy herself!"

Kronus shook his head and started to get up. "No! I knew you would stop her." Wicked had her hands on her hips. "But I DIDN'T."

"Yes you did, you told Enyo. Shiver listens to her more than anyone!" Wicked made a frustrated shrieking noise and stormed off down the hall to their room. Kronus was maybe five feet behind her trying to explain himself. Enyo chuckled and hit the button on her comlink. "Maintenance? Yeah you guys need to keep a full time construction crew here. We need a new desk and wall here in the main office and a new outside wall across from it."
