Nora Baker

Nora smiled as Rick jumped up and started getting dressed. Nora got up and went to him. Her nudity seemed to distract him so she pulled a silky robe on. She walked over to him as he was finishing up with his jeans she kissed him passionately once more. Breaking the kiss off she licked her lips and buttoned the last few buttons he had missed in his hurry. She took the paper with his phone number on it and smiled while putting it in her pocket.

"Have a lovely day cutting trees down Rick Hoover." She smiled as he looked at his watch and hurried down the stairs. She followed him and she caught sight of the bite marks. "Wait! Just one more thing." She bit her finger and rubbed a dot of her blood on his bite wound and watched it heal up like it had never happened. She loved looking into his eyes and as he left to go back to work she sighed realizing that he would not likely come back on his own.

When she woke up it was barely dark out. She put on her sweater and jeans with her boots and she went out back and got her horse out of the barn. She climbed up and went for a ride. She went down to the where the lumberjacks worked every day. She could smell him and she smiled. Going over to his equipment she picked up his extra flannel and she smelled it and sighed. She put it back and rode back up to her house and gave the horse to Barkley's son to put away. She went inside and turned the television on.

Happy birthday Ash
Oppal- you could have an unknown family living in the school take him in (an NPC family) that way when you want to interact with him you can and when you don't he can be an NPC.

I would think Robert would be awake, yes.

Ranna Dasonne

Ranna had left Kyle's office and went back to her room and changed back into her own clothing and shoes. Feeling much more comfortable she looked around and started down the main road to where the crops had been planted. After seeing how badly the land had been over used she shook her head and started looking around. She climbed up a large group of rocks that probably were part of a building at one time. It allowed her to go high enough to look around.

She spotted a clearing in the middle of the forest. She decided to check it out. There were many things to consider. Was the soil the right kind? Was water nearby for easy watering? Had it been planted recently? Was it big enough? Ranna jumped down and took off towards the area she had seen. She figured it was about a half an hour walk.

Once there she looked at the size of the area. It was a little larger than she had expected and it was too sandy and rocky there. Sighing she turned around and on her way back to the apartments she found several areas that seemed good but there was always something wrong with them. When she got back to the tribe she sat down on a bench that had seen better days. She looked around at the beauty of the place. There was a park with flowers and old swings behind two of the buildings and there was a stream that ran through the complex.

Suddenly it hit her and she stood up. She walked over and pulled up a hand of soil. Ranna started laughing. She climbed up on the boulder and yelled "Obsidian! The land you need for the crops is right here. Come help me get it ready to plant. We must clear the land and get it plowed!" There were many people who came and Ranna told them what needed to be done and they all pitched in.

One of the older boys pulled a large rock out from the middle of the pile that needed to be moved and it created a slide that went right towards the baby she had played with earlier. Ranna threw up a forcefield and the slide dispersed around the child. His mother's tears of happiness were all the thanks Ranna needed. The elder reached over and whacked the boy on the head and Ranna nearly got knocked down with hugs from the mother and her family.

@BlackPanther

Kyle and Eden went to the festival where Kyle proposed. Andi and CC were walking around the festival and were talking. You weren't the only one who didn't show but that's ok we all have different schedules. You are alright. Don't worry.

Kyle and Ranna

Kyle did not know what to say to Alexis. It had felt like she had just given an ultimatum. Kyle hated this, he could not belong to a single person as a leader, he had to run the entire tribe. There were problems as well, and Kyle figured after today, his friends should keep their distance. He will not be very well liked. Kyle straightened his cloths, flattened his hair with his hand, and walked out the room, giving Alexis a look.

"We have faced many dangers in our tribe Alexis. Having one very strong human as our enemy will put the tribe in no greater or worse danger than we were already in before. I wish you would stay but I will not stop you if you want to leave......Council Woman Alexandra."

Kyle walked out of his room, right in front of the crowd of people that had gathered. Ranna was standing on a boulder, Alexis had joined him and stood against the wall to his left, and Ryun stood against the wall to his right. Kyle motioned for Ranna to come over to his side.

Ranna smiled when Kyle showed up and waved her over. She looked at the group and smiled at some of the new friends she had already made. "I told the guard to make sure the Boar was ready for after the meeting and I introduced myself to the group and that's about it."

Ranna also noticed that Alexis had walked out right after Kyle and that she looked a little mussed up. Alexis didn't look happy at all so she stood there quietly and waited for Kyle to speak.

Kyle coughed slightly. He leaned in and whispered to Ranna.

"Listen I may need your help with something. I just had a situation with Alexis.....and it involved me saying no to something she offered and as it turns out she has this super powerful enemy that will attack the tribe. I may need you to help rally the tribe. Would you be willing to do that? I know your new to the tribe and all........"

Ranna knew without a doubt what Alexis offered Kyle. She nodded. "Of course I will help you. Did she say who this enemy is?"

"Apparently someone with powers like us who steals other peoples powers."

Ranna's internal warning bells went off and her breathing quickened. It couldn't be...what were the chances that he would be coming here.

"Oh, and I forgot, your tribe historian is or was here and he looked upset. He was carrying a damaged book."

Ranna tried not to lose focus of what Kyle was saying but now she was going to keep her eyes open. If he was near here there was a lot of trouble on the way.

Kyle noticed the slight change in Ranna's attitude, but something she said caught his attention. Kyle started to panic slightly.

"Oh shit....you said....librarian...holding book....,"Kyle's eyes widened and he turned to the crowd and spoke up."HEY!...yea hi everyone thanks for coming. So great to see everyone here. I mean really its almost like i see you guys everyday!"

Kyle slightly chuckled at himself then gave a theatrical bow.

"Alright so first item on the agenda........the fire. So a giaganto fireball hit one of the buildings last night, I will explain why, but first and foremost. Mark!"

Kyle clasped his hands together like he was praying.

"I know you might be a tad upset that your books were burned, and i swear we will replace them. Now because im leader you can no longer force me as punishment to make copies of books, do writing lessons, etc, etc, but......Im sorry!"

Kyle bowed his head slightly and the tribe people laughed slightly.

Ranna was barely paying attention to what Kyle was saying. She was looking around buildings and on rooftops. She was searching for someone she hadn't seen in a year. She caught the words fire and Librarian and heard the tone of Kyle's voice change. She was really wishing she could leave the meeting unseen.

Kyle brushed himself off and kept from laughing. He noticed Ranna was looking around, so he decided it was time for introductions.

"Alright, next item....Ranna Dasonne! She is a warrior like we have never seen! She can....um.....like......."

Kyle leaned in next to Ranna

"Hey Ranna....tell them about yourself a bit. I am drawin a blank."

Kyle noticed that the elderly of the tribe seemed to become uneasy for what appeared to be no reason.

Ranna really didn't want to say much about who she was. She decided there was no better time to tell them than now.

"I told you before that I come from the mountains and that my tribe was murdered. This is only part of the story." She stopped and took a deep breath."Some of you recognize my last name. It is Dasonne. My father was the leader of the Dasonne tribe and he made a few bad deals and when told to pay up the leader of the other tribe wanted my hand in marriage as payment."

"Upon meeting this man I was beaten at our first meeting so my father refused. For this my entire tribe was killed while I was hidden beneath it in a cave. My guard went out to help and I heard his screams and then nothing." Ranna wiped a couple of tears away and excused herself. Ranna went around the corner and took a few deep breaths to compose herself.

Kyle watched as Ranna walked around the corner, eyes widened. He had not expected that. But Kyle needed to be strong so he turned back around to his tribe and put on a big smile. Kyle clapped a few times.

"Alright so Princess Ranna is a big badass, and we are gonna protect her.She is part of our tribe now, and I expect you guys to treat her as well as you would treat your own flesh and blood."

Kyle sighed and straightened his back.

"Alright next item.......I believe that the fireball that i mentioned earlier......was thrown by the man that will stop at nothing untill he kills someone at the very core of our tribe.....Council Woman Alexandra."

Kyle turned to Alexis and stared her down.

"Alexandra is wanting to run away, to protect us. What do you have to say to that?"

Ranna reappeared at the back of the group and leaned up against the wall of a nearby building. She could hear Kyle talking. She wondered if Alexis' bad guy was the same one she had been running from. He knew she was alive because he had searched through all of the bodies at her tribe. She had had to stay hidden for three days while he searched the area for her. She heard Kyle stop and she had to think on what he had said. Alexandra wanted to leave to protect them. In some ways they weren't so different but Ranna had decided to stand and fight. She was done running. She wanted to have a life or die trying but she was not going to live her entire life on the run.

The tribe went crazy. Some tried to go up to Alexis but the guards would not allow it. But most of all, everyone was saying how they didnt want her to leave, how she should stay with them and fight. Kyle smiled and nodded at Alexis.

"Thank you, my good people, for proving my point. If Council Woman still decides to leave she can, and the position will be open. But hopefully she changes her mind, Now on to the next item......or items really I mean honestly I am tired of this meeting already,"Kyle said grinning and pretending to yawn. Some of the tribe people booed him and laughed along. Kyle smiled sadly and put on his serioius face.

"So....good news and bad news. Good news is Ranna brought down something incredible.......a boar. Not a mutated boar mind you, an actual regular boar, from like the books tell us about. This means that the radiation on this planet either is not everywhere like we seemed to think......or its going away."

Kyle let his words sink in. Kyle felt a pain in his throat.

"The meat on it can last us a while if we ration it right.......bad news.........the crops failed. Somehow, our farming area became iradiated.....we can no longer grow our food."

Kyle felt the anger and tension from the crowd.....and it was only getting worse since he could make no reassurances..

"Scavenge parties will have to be doubled, and storing and rationing just became more important than ever."

Ranna could feel the anger and fear building in the crowd. She worked her way up to the front next to Kyle and said "There is a way we can grow the crops we need and a way to get food in the mean time." She looked at Kyle and nodded to him.

"My tribe was in the mountains where it was difficult to grow crops. I'll show you how we did it and how we can survive until they come in." There were nods of approval and Ranna looked at Kyle.

Kyle looked at Ranna like she was sent from the maker him/her self. Kyle grew slightly excited at this and faced the crowd.

"Well.....I wont say problem solved.....but we have something. Now I know losing our farming land was a emotional loss as well. We havent had an incident like that since my GrandFather took back the tribe leadership for my family. But I want you guys to know......I love all of you. You are my family, my brothers and sisters, my mothers and father, and living here in this tribe makes me feel like living in this hell of a world is possible. Now if you have any questions please direct them to Council women and man Ryun and Alexandra. I need to discuss what Ranna said further. Meeting adjourned. Breakfast will be served shortly, and the first serving of boar will be at lunch hour."

Kyle motioned for Ranna to follow him, and he walked inside the main office building.

Ranna looked at Kyle and she wasn't too happy with him at the moment. "How could you tell them about the crops without figuring out something else first? And you always deliver the bad news first that way you always deliver the good last making their last feeling from you a good one. Did no one teach you how to do this job?"

Kyle became slightly upset at Ranna's words. He walked up to her, standing only a few feet away. Kyle was tired, and visibly still stressed out, as well as anxious.

"No no one taught me. My father died, leaving the position open and big shoes to fill. Ive been doing the best I could, but honestly there wasnt a good alternative. I had nothing planned in case that kinda of thing happened. That farming plot has been here for as long as anyone can remember. I have no idea why what happened happened."

"I can tell you why it didn't grow and it's got nothing to do with radiation." Ranna told him. "You said the plot is used every year. You need to have two plots. One to use each year leaving the second to lay fallow so that it's nutrients will replenish in the soil. The next year you use the one that was not used the previous year. It switches each year allowing the soil to replenish for a year in between uses."

Ranna looked at him. "I will help you."

Kyle sighed and walked away, into his room. Kyle left the door open and motioned for her to follow. Kyle went over to his desk and opened a few drawers, pulling out papers and documents.

Ranna followed him and watched him pulling out papers and she put her hand on his shoulder. "Please stop. I should have told you more about who I was before the meeting began. I will go out with you later and we will look for more land to farm and we still have time to get in another set of crops before the cold comes in." Ranna noticed how stressed he was. She pulled him to his feet. "Hug me." She wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him.

Kyle was so entrenched with looking over his papers, trying to figure out anything to help him with his farming problems, and other problems he never mentioned, that he was completely taken by suprise. He hadnt felt Ranna put her hands on him, and when she forced him up and embraced him he was even more shocked. Kyle reisisted at first, but only slightly. This wasnt the worst thing in the world. Kyle wrapped his arms around Ranna and returned the hug.

After a few minutes she felt his breathing become calmer and more even and his stress levels dipped considerably. "You are feeling better now." She smiled as she pulled back.

Kyle let go of Ranna and rubbed his eyes.

"Yea kinda.....thanks. Your dismissed. Leader needs some sleep I guess."

Kyle smiled and gave Ranna a two finger salute.

Ranna smiled and left the office. She headed out to find another plot of land for farming.
