Piper had left the room to check in on Grant and she saw Rick go into Mr. Winters room. She felt so bad for him and she knew that if he asked her she would answer his questions. She had known him as long as she had Nora. They had already been together a year or so by then. Rick had helped her when the vampire and wolf side effects had nearly killed her when she had become half vampire. She shook her head and knew that her first loyalty would have had to be Grant then Nora. She wondered which one's pull would be harder to resist.

Matt looked at Kyle. "Does Nikki know that you are trying to take over like this? This is Hers and MY school. I'm not going to just let you take over just because she married you. I'll continue doing what I always do. I'm not taking orders from you Kyle. I may be your partner and work with you but you are not going to be a dictator. I won't allow that."

Matt was angry and he left and went straight to Nikki. When he opened her door she was asleep. Her face was red and she had been crying. He put his head against the door frame and sighed looking at her. She had been through so much especially lately. He closed his eyes and the door and walked into the gym and hit the bags to work out his frustration with Kyle's new attitude.

The next morning Piper was back at Nora's. She had made the driver take them back during the night time. There was no way she could sleep in Dracula's house. Nora had watched them get into the car and go. She had handed Piper a note for Rick and as soon as they got in she knocked on Nora's bedroom door. When he didn't answer she opened the door and went inside. She glanced at the bed and he was dressed and awake and he looked like hell. She couldn't tell for certain as the lights were dimmed to almost nothing.

"Rick? Nora asked me to give you this note."

The note said

My dearest Rick,
It tears at my heart to say this to you but someone from my past has resurfaced and I am irrevocably tied to him. You could say he is my master. If you could only understand how strong these ties are. I'll not be able to continue our relationship as it is and you being human would be killed instantly if he knew of you. Please leave the house so you won't be killed by his people.

During the last two weeks Zach had been very busy. He had been helping Max the electrician fix the electrical issues in the city. Zach had gone to the source of the electricity and followed it back looking for the break in the lines. Once he found it he was able to fix it. While he was at it he was able to boost the generators. The biggest accomplishment in his mind was when Max had a heart attack and keeled over just a few feet from him. He had quickly been able to jump start his heart with electrical shocks. After that he had taken him to Mabel to make sure there wasn't something else that needed doing for his friend. While waiting on Mabel and Max he had spoken casually with Ailsa about common knowledge and the weather.

Training with Ranna and Kyle was a new routine. They would go out of the city and diminish the monster population every couple of days or so. Zach was enjoying the looks of the other young ladies in the area and smiling a little at some of the glances some of the men gave him.

Shiver turned and smiled softly. "Just a friend going through a tough time. Are you still upset about the water part?" She popped open the soda she had gone for and took a drink of it. "Sometimes we have to do our job no matter what our personal fears are. Want to come watch tv with me for a while?" Shiver was headed back to her own room. Since you are across the hall it's even easier." She seemed a little down and she didn't want to be alone. Having a friend to hang out with might be just what she needed to snap her out of it.
