Harald relaxed the moment that they were outside of the building "At last. Oh Welcome to the team by the way." He tried to put a arm around Kyo's shoulder by this point, he was happy that another Darcsen had joined their squad and a tough looking one at that. "Impressive sword by the way, i'm surprised you can effectively use that thing in real combat" He gestured to it as they were walking and he took his arm away.

Kyo shrank his body away from the Sergeant's arms. He did not know this man aside from his name, rank and the fact he's the superior officer. Besides, it had been how many years since he ever let himself touched? It won't change now. "The sword's name is Kirugane, Sir. And I view it same as my arms and legs. I promise Sir it will not hinder my movement along with the unit." Kyo responded while also trying to reassure his superior that his unique choice of weaponry won't burden the 4th Squad during battle. The remainder of the time they walked towards the Squad Four's camp quietly.

When they arrived Kyo introduced himself as it was required."I am Private First Class Kyo and..." With a deft move he pierced his giant sword to the ground next to him. "This is Kirugane, my weapon and best friend. We'll be in your care from now on." He said so and meant it. Still, seeing a short and boyish soldier with a sword almost as tall as himself was quite an unusual sight. The fact he treated the weapon as his life partner like old school warriors did only managed to raise that strange impression up to eleven. Yet Kyo didn't mind. He was the son of a great warrior and he wanted to be proud of it. That's about the only thing he had left.

Alex interrupted their Sargent, her eyes looking sharper than before as she pointed towards Kyo

"What is with that imperial breastplate?"

She suspected that it was her imperial nature but seeing a Darcsen wear something like that worried her if he knew who she was, and got her a little ticked off. at the same time. The only thing that was the same about her was her build and eyes, though her crimson red eyes could have been enough, but she was overthinking it, like the other imperial it is possible that he knew nothing, or was just someone who took it as a trophy.

It did make him stand out a little, along with his chest plate and Darcsen shawl he could tell the others may have been a little shocked by him as well given the looks on their faces. "Ah I see you are ready, good! This is Private First Class Kyo, and-." Alex interrupted him by this point, pointing out one of the more risky parts of the mans outfit, and he could understand why. "Kyo, can you explain it? Just for everyone's piece of mind?" Weapons were mostly fine, but it was uncommon to be wearing their armor, accidents can happen after all.

"Yes Sir! My fighting style differs from the practices of Shocktroopers and with the suggestion of Corporal Paul Lorenz my former squad leader I created this gear for me. As a low-ranking Militia I could not ask the quartermaster for armor and I had to appropriate this from fallen enemy soldiers on the battlefield. This breastplate may look worn out but it already saved my life once." To reinforce his point Kyo put his finger next to a spherical dent left behind by a pistol caliber bullet, apparently shot from an imperial SMG."My dress code and gear is non-standard but I have the 11th and 12th company captains' written approval. Albeit if our squad leader agrees I'd wish to borrow supplies to paint over this armor and match the standard Militia colors. Would it be alright, Sir?"

Even if not officially but his power was to abuse Schrödinger's Gun in narrative.

Vino is an enigmatic assassin with uncertain roots. He's a psychopathic killer with insane death toll. He's called "Vino" for the Latin term of red wine because he leaves a trail of bloody mess behind. He's crazy and extremely dangerous yet the police is utterly helpless before his actions. Vino is infamous for his "creative" ways of killing his targets.

Powers:

Vino has an indescribable power to bring out unlikely events and violate reality. His ability can be the best categorized as probability manipulation but the details and correct workings behind this power are a complete mystery. Generally, Vino possess extreme and unnatural luck. Whatever he does, it usually ends up in success and the circumstances always work in his favor. Furthermore Vino is completely aware of his ability and always abuse it to the fullest.In combat this usually manifests as an ever-present jinx on the enemy. They constantly miss and whether something can be broken it WILL break in the worst moment. Less reliable a method, more likely to backfire on the attackers. A frontal charge can result in the enemy tripping on a banana peel for example. In the end even the most professional fighters and most awesome heroes can end up like an incompetent bunch due to Vino's powers. Perhaps his ability is far from invincible. Repeating the same action may eventually result in a successful attack. Alternatively if something is absolutely sure to hit then Vino cannot sabotage that attack either. Patience and through planing are often the key factors against Vino's ability.

Vino have a few notable "techniques" which he never gave a name but often associate them with a certain catchphrase:

- "I have many names": Just like that Vino can alter his name with utter ease. In one moment he was Felix Walker while in the next minute he became Giovanni Pedrotti. Strangely, he gets an ID card and matching personal documents to legally prove this to the authorities.

- "I have countless professions.": Vino is able to learn at monstrous rate which surpasses even photographic memory. He can learn an entire new profession in less than a week. He suddenly bumps into books and people that helps him to get the required skills quickly and for some reason his mind understands everything he learns immediately. Furthermore he's very quick to find an employer and he can work right away. This ability lets Vino to easily infiltrate the target unnoticed or silently blend in the society after each mission. Vino had over 100 kinds of jobs and he switches professions casually in each month for no reason.

- "You confused me with someone else": Vino is pretty hard to recognize. The witnesses often tell different descriptions to the police and for some reason they forgot the key details. Vino never bothers to hide his face.

- "I just got in!": Strange ability that lets Vino to pass security cameras and avoid any kind of electronic detection without effort. He's literally invisible to anything but the naked eye. Targeting devices and else just get a bunch of error messages when trying to focus on Vino. Additionally Vino can slip through electronic locks and other such security systems like they weren't even there.

- "Lights out!": Vino can cause every artificial source of light to accidentally stop working. This way he can operate completely in darkness, even indoors.

- "You never see me coming!": Weird technique that only works if his opponent lost sight of Vino. While unseen, Vino is able to pass considerable distances and appear somewhere else in a flash. Whether it involves teleportation or not is unknown since no one really saw him in action. This ability has no effect if Vino is at plain sight.

- "I am a monster!": Under stress and in bad visuals people tend to picture things that really don't exist. Vino abuses the same feature to guise himself as an inhumane monster. This ability works the best at night and when his victims are in panic. Although superstitious people with weak wills may fall to this trick even at daylight.

- "You cannot escape!": Vino can chase down people and prevent them from escape. His fleeing victims suddenly find themselves extremely clumsy and make wrong turns and decisions constantly. More complex the route of escape, the less chance they have to actually pull it off. That gives Vino plenty of time to catch up and finish off his trapped victims.

- "I didn't die": Mysterious ability that defiles reason. Vino could survive certain attacks that he really shouldn't. This trick is similar to his "never see me coming" as it requires Vino to be obstructed from view. This way he can survive falling down from extreme heights or a building crumbling on him. Of course grenades and bombs are no exception. The explosion similarly obscures him from view and gives him a chance to use "I didn't die" in the last minute. General rule: if you hadn't seen Vino to die, he most probably didn't.

- "I have a gun": Pretty self-explanatory. Vino pulls out a gun from his pocket or any hidden place. The real catch is that he wasn't supposed to carry any weapons, just his opponent doesn't know this. The gun or any other weapon preferably is a simple or easy to acquire type and of course it also needs to be small enough to be concealed. For example his pockets can't hold an entire rocket launcher, right?

- "It was just a random guess": Vino is sometimes strangely aware of things. He knows your plan , manage to understand your thoughts or just flat out predict your next course of action. Of course this ability has little relation to intellect, more like insane luck. If Vino has the faintest chance to guess something, those are 100% correct. All he needs just to put his mind to the matter. His random guesses are extremely potent and often border precognition. Although Vino normally doesn't bother to use this ability.

To put it mildly he was certainly not somebody you wished to encounter on the streets.

How the people live and what's their mentality like. You can talk about minorities, demographics, population. If you have an unique judicial system you may also want to detail it here. And of course you can mention what is your unique races are like. First come first serve. If a player already made elves then they have priority. You can of course discuss things with that person and come to an agreement. Race/species descriptions must be always put in separate hiders so they can be easily found.

The point is to let you do cool things and explore your creativity but at the same time don't do it at the expense of others.)

Welcome fellow NRPers!
Earth, the age of sails and discoveries. The period of great explorers. I believe everybody is familiar with the atmosphere. Yet there's a major difference. On this Earth humans aren't only the sentient species. Elves, dwarves, lizardmen and many other unique races share it together with humans. Science is in development yet there's a force that defies logic, the arcane arts of magic. Yes, this is an alternate fantasy world, and your nation is among them.

RP Notes:

• Standard RPGuild rules, no need to repeat them
• You can make your claim to either a territory or preferably a certain nation, i.e: you get France's land
• You can either play an AU version of that country or even remake it into a whole original nation from scratch
• Try to tune your nation with the rest of the setting, though. Make it fit. I'll help you in that.
• Countries, locations not picked by any players could be used as NPCs. They'll be assumed to be similar to their historical counterparts.
• You have limited control over the NPC nations in your neighborhood. You can flesh them out a bit and if needed you can even control them a bit.
• Don't abuse this feature, though. Neither stomp NPCs just because you can control them. If neccessary ask another player to play the NPC for you.
• Technology is somewhere around 15-16th century levels in general. You can still fight with armored knights and I'm also up for creative applications of tech.
• Consider the timeframe. Ships crossing from Europe to America take around 2-4 months, for example. Land routes are even slower.
• As I said in the intro magic and fantasy races are allowed. Though don't make them so OP a RL 15-16th century nation cannot deal with them. That's all.
• I'll wait with the IC until we get enough players. Until then we can continue discussing things and flesh out the setting.
• Once the IC starts I wish that all nations would post their intro post first. Something that establishes your nation.
• There's no enforced posting order but when possible please try to wait for the other players a bit. This is mostly timeline sensitive so back-and-forth posting between two leaders during a meeting is usually fine.

@AtomicNut Heh, nothing quite that glamorous. I'm a computer science student, and my lab focuses on information visualization and analysis. Of course that sounds absolutely worthless to the general public ("so... you just make pretty graphs?"), so stuff like this really annoys me.

Well, you can easily turn that around by telling them what this information is used for after processing. Farmers don't talk about the details of their work unless it's the topic. They talk about their product and explain in a rough roundabout way what they do to ensure its quality.

@CycloneOh there's a bit of misunderstanding. I don't oppose your letter or its contents. I just wanted you to make it clear that Babur is just playing at the role and doesn't believe this.
Anyways, you have to make Yllendthyr to attack first to convince your would be allies. Because aside from the shady KalMea nobody is going to tag along with your "Zanshir is ours, damn elves stole it from us!" explanation.
Same way you may want to think on a way to forge evidence agaonst elves to prove they are the aggressors.
If you find solution to either I thonk you can succeed at your "anti-elf alliance".
